About the role 

We’re looking for a friendly and professional Fundraising Assistant. As the first point of contact for supporters, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional supporter care.

• Respond to supporter enquiries via phone, email and post. 

• Process donations and produce thank‑you letters and certificates. 

• Send fundraising packs, materials and merchandise. 

• Provide admin and operational support across fundraising, events and volunteering. 

• Support Facebook fundraisers and digital fundraising platforms. 

• Maintain accurate CRM records (training provided).

About the role

We’re looking for a motivated and creative Senior Marketing Officer to join Kinship’s Marketing Team to help us reach more kinship carers with our support offer. You’ll bring strong experience in delivering effective, insight-driven digital marketing campaigns across channels, including social media, email, web, paid advertising and content marketing.   

You’ll play a key role in delivering integrated marketing campaigns and promoting our services and programmes – including Department for Education-funded training – to kinship carers, referral partners, and professionals across England and Wales.   

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you’ll plan and deliver impactful marketing activity, create engaging content, and use data and analytics to optimise performance. You’ll also contribute to shaping our marketing strategy by bringing evidence, creativity and best practice from across the digital landscape. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to maximise reach and impact and raise the profile of kinship care while supporting families.   

Key responsibilities   

• Work with the Head of Marketing to develop marketing plans, and have day-to-day oversight of the delivery of these to promote the DfE-funded training and support service to kinship carers, to ensure good take-up of all training events by a diverse range of kinship carers, in line with the programme goals.

• Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, print, social media - paid and organic, email, SMS, etc.), monitoring and optimising campaigns for greatest impact and testing new approaches.

• Produce and oversee content creation for marketing plans and campaigns, delivering high-quality, insight-led and engaging marketing content for different audiences and/or channels, including case studies, blog posts, leaflets, videos, and social media assets.

• Plan and deliver creative and innovative paid ads campaigns across Meta, reviewing and optimising throughout, ensuring robust reporting is in place and using analytics and insights to inform future campaigns.

• Help embed a new email marketing platform to support the delivery of our email marketing strategy, including segmentation, automated journeys testing and reporting.

• Support the delivery of marketing strategies and activities to grow brand awareness and increase engagement with kinship carers and other key audiences.

• With the Head of Marketing, work with services teams to understand our target audience, and identify opportunities to integrate Kinship’s holistic support offer - including our peer support service and website advice content/ Kinship Compass - into training marketing activity where appropriate.

• Track KPIs and produce regular monitoring reports on marketing performance across channels and, with support from the Head of Marketing, adjust campaigns and plans to optimise impact and make recommendations for future testing.

• Manage and prioritise incoming requests from the organisational briefing process for services marketing support, including producing collateral templates in line with brand guidelines, working closely and collaboratively with comms and digital teams.

• Work in collaboration and co-production with kinship carers to ensure meaningful input and representation in the development of relevant plans and activities.

​Knowledge, abilities, skills and experience: 

Experience    

• Demonstrable marketing experience in an in-house or agency role (minimum 4 years experience).   

• Experience of developing and delivering marketing campaigns and activity to meet specific objectives, including engagement and acquisition of target audiences.   

• Experience of supporting numerous marketing campaigns or activities at the same time.   

• Strong digital marketing experience, including use of email marketing systems; design software including Canva; social media platforms and photo and video editing software.   

• Experience of planning, delivering and optimising email marketing campaigns to drive supporter engagement, using segmentation, automation and performance analysis.

We are looking for a Head of International Programmes to be responsible for delivering an international strategy, and developing the capacity and reach of the charitys global network to best meet the needs of its beneficiaries.

This role will include developing close relationships with international partners to help them identify their needs, and deliver programmes and projects to meet them. You will also lead and support the development of international grant income, cultivating and stewarding relationships with corporates, trusts, and foundations.

This is a London hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office.

The Charity
You would be joining a supportive and welcoming team at a well established global social welfare charity, offering 28 days leave per annum FTE plus bank and statutory holidays, along with a competitive pension scheme (up to 6% matching contributions).

The Role
Identify opportunities from within the charitys global network to grow and develop the capacity of the network.

Maintain and develop a pipeline of project and programme opportunities to present to donors to fund the charitys work internationally.

Raise grants, including securing funding from corporates as well as trusts and foundations.

Maintain and build key relationships with external stakeholders, such as core funders and partners.

Manage the International Programmes and Grants Manager.

The Candidate
Experience at a senior level in a relevant area.

Experience of programme and project management ideally in a development setting.

Experience of creating and delivering organisational strategies.

Experience of grant fundraising and management ideally in an international setting.

Experience of managing staff and volunteers.

History of directly managing people, steering projects, and guiding teams towards achieving strategic goals.

Desirable
Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church.
Knowledge of the maritime sector.

Our Facilities team works hard to ensure that every guest visiting Woodrow has a safe and memorable visit. You will be working alongside the wider team to maintain all buildings, including our Grade II listed Manor House and Leisure Centre, and the outside grounds and activity areas, to ensure the site is welcoming, tidy and safe for all. You will assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring we remain compliant with relevant Health & Safety legislation; and will be involved in various duties that contribute to the wider success of the Centre and London Youth. 

What you will be doing 

The Facilities Assistant provides logistical and maintenance support for the Woodrow estate and holds the following core responsibilities. This is not intended as an exhaustive list, and the job may change over time to reflect the changing needs of our centre, as well as the personal development needs of the post holder. 

Grounds upkeep: 

• General upkeep of the 26-acre estate grounds e.g. pruning, mowing, planting, tidying gardens. 
• Keeping grounds, paths and hard surfaces safe and free of ice, snow, leaves, weeds, etc. 
• Maintaining the 3G astro pitch, cycle circuit and outdoor activity areas.

Building maintenance: 

• Undertake day-to-day minor repairs, e.g. patching, painting, leaky taps, hinges, caulking, etc. 
• Undertake cyclical / seasonal jobs e.g. clearing gutters, drains, drain gratings, etc. 
• Support with biomass boiler maintenance and receive woodchip deliveries. 
• Support with basic utilities issues as they arise, e.g. heating, plumbing, electrical, etc. 

Health and safety: 

• Undertake routine safety/compliance checks of all facilities including, among other things, legionella temperature aduits, emergency equipment inspections and tests, etc. 
• Support the FM with risk assessments and work procedures relevant to the role. 
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out using systems in place for auditing. 

General duties: 

• Basic joinery, carpentry and build projects done in house, under direction of the FM. 
• Supervise outside contractors to ensure all jobs are carried out to agreed standards. 
• Supervise corporate volunteer groups who support us with gardening or build projects. 
• Support with setup and occasional on-the-day attendance at various events. 
• Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by London Youth's management that ensure the ongoing success of the charity and delivery of excellent customer experiences. 

What you bring to the role 

Experience, Knowledge & Skills 

We do not expect candidates to have expertise in all areas, but at a minimum experience of minor buildings repairs and maintenance and groundskeeping work is essential to this role. Training will be provided to address some gaps where necessary and relevant. 

• Experience with grounds maintenance including tree and lawn care, gardening, etc. 
• Experience of maintenance in heating, plumbing, electrical systems. 
• Demonstrable good practical DIY skills, including decorating, joinery, carpentry, repairs, etc. 
• Experience using power and maintenance tools, including small tractor with mower, jigsaws, strimmers, etc. 
• Demonstrable understanding of Health & Safety regulations relevant to this type of role; the importance of compliance, evidencing and contributing to this. 
• Hold a good level of fitness and able to work outside in variable weather conditions. 
• Experience of conducting regular compliance checks, recording and reporting on them. 
• Able to use digital systems for record keeping, including Microsoft Office and various apps. 
• A current driving licence (tractor experience is also desirable).

Qualifications in the use of a chainsaw, power tools, tractor driving, pool plant are desirable.
