1. Job Finder Support
Interviewing ex-offenders, offering one-to-one job coaching to help them into work, and providing ongoing mentoring for the first 12 months in employment.
Ours is a face-to-face, holistic and wraparound service that culminates in our candidates finding good jobs that last, with a wide array of socially inclusive employers on our books. Our job finder support can begin in custody and continue through the gate into the community, or start in the community. Typically, we will work with a person for between one and three months to establish work readiness and will continue to support them for up to a year once they find employment. Many people stay in touch and return to us for their second or third job over a period of years, and we consider our door to be open for as long as support is needed.

The Policy & Research team collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify good practice that informs our work and wider responses to modern slavery. Central to our work is the Unseen Survivor Consultants; lived experience experts who volunteer their time and insights to incorporate survivor voice into research design and policy recommendations.
Purpose of the role:
The Survivor Involvement Coordinator will support the continuous improvement of Unseen’s service delivery and support our research and policy influence work through the facilitation of the Unseen Survivor Consultant group.
You will work closely with Unseen’s Policy & Research team and have regular interactions with staff across Unseen’s wider teams including Business Services, Helpline Services, Support Services, Fundraising, Communications, and Operations. You will also support external researchers and stakeholders to collaborate with the Unseen Survivor Consultants.

About the role
This role will provide cross team support to both the School Partnerships and the Teaching and Learning functions of the charity. Within the School Partnerships team, they will play a key role in supporting effective engagement of school and MAT partners by ensuring the smooth running of both day-to-day operations and longer-term projects. This element of the role is central to developing and maintaining relationships with schools and MATs, while also managing essential administrative processes, communications, reporting and systems. Within the Teaching and Learning function, they will support the delivery of the training, curriculum design and quality assurance of tutors working across The Brilliant Club’s Access Programmes and Projects. The role leads on several administrative processes, including course design, tutor training and programme team liaison, engaging with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure that tutors and curriculum documents are of the highest quality when they arrive in schools. Overview
Barts Health NHS Trust provides maternity and neonatal care for women and birthing people and their babies each year, providing all aspects of obstetrics and midwifery care in our labour ward, midwife-led birth centre and home birthing service.
North-East London (NEL) (Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest) Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) listens to the experiences of women, birthing people and families, and brings together service users, staff and other stakeholders to plan, review and improve maternity and neonatal care. MNVPs ensure that service users’ voices are at the heart of decision-making in maternity and neonatal services by being embedded within the leadership of provider trusts and feeding into the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) and Integrated Care Board. This influences improvements in the safety, quality, and experience of maternity and neonatal care. We work to ensure that every woman and birthing person on the maternity and neonatal pathway has a chance to have their voice heard. We do not speak for them.
We are recruiting a Maternity Lead for Tower Hamlets, who brings the expertise of women/birthing people with lived experience of maternity services at Barts Health NHS Trust into the heart of the development of every aspect of maternity and neonatal services at the trust.
The role of Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) Lead is key to providing inclusive and collaborative leadership and ways of working, ensuring that all women and birthing people and their families’ views are heard and acted on. This is an exciting opportunity to review, shape and improve services and make a real difference to women, birthing people and their families.
This is a paid, self-employed job requiring 1.5 days per week (worked flexibly where possible). Working with the MNVP is an opportunity to become part of a vibrant team, improving care for our service users and enabling voices and engagement with our community.
The membership of the MNVP includes:
● Women, birthing people and families from a diverse range of backgrounds.
● Members of the wider community such as birth workers and charities specialising in mental health, supporting refugees, etc.
● Nurses, midwives, health visitors, doctors and managers.
This is a self-employed position on a fixed-term contract until March 2027. The successful candidate will not be entitled to employee benefits such as pension, sick pay, or holiday pay.
As a self-employed contractor, you are responsible for managing your own tax and National Insurance contributions. You will be required to invoice the organisation for your work at the end of each calendar month, and payment will be made within 21 days of receipt of a monthly invoice.
Please note: This role requires applicants to have lived experience of using maternity services at The Royal London Hospital and/or Tower Hamlets within the last five years (either by giving birth or receiving maternity care). The ability to speak Bengali, Urdu or Romanian is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
