Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity, based in Farnham, Surrey, is one of the leading charities in the UK empowering children and adults with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. We have a strong reputation built upon 50 years of pioneering work in this field. We currently provide direct support to over 1800 individuals with dyslexia each year.
We are looking for someone who will support our short courses administration as well as providing the administration for our shop; which is both on-line and in-person. The role is based full-time in our office in Farnham, and you will work closely with the team based there. A collaborative approach and commitment to Helen Arkell’s values is essential. You will be confident in multi-tasking and dealing with the public, as well as having good communication and digital skills.
Key Responsibilities
Courses
· Prepare for online and face-to-face courses including setting up webpage booking pages, answering enquiries, and preparing resources such as leaflets and handouts
· Process course bookings ensuring accurate records are maintained.
· Create events and host on-line courses via Zoom
· Support course delivery for both on-line and in-person events
· Manage the on-line, and on-demand course recordings access.
· Send out and collate feedback forms and certificates for courses
· Process applications for bursary places on courses
Shop
· Source, order and manage the stock (with the agreement of the Head of Education)
· Ensure that the shop is well presented and serve customers making purchases.
· Process orders received via our website, including packing and dispatching.
· Manage the Shop on our accounting system, Sage. Including updating the ledger daily, updating the stock information and producing purchase orders.
· Manage the ‘till’ ensuring accurate records are maintained and systems agree.
· Produce the monthly sales report
· Lead regular stock takes.
· Develop innovative sales ideas including advertisements, to increase shop turnover
· Support the shop finance functions such as producing customer invoices and VAT receipts

About The Clink Charity
The Clink Charity, founded in 2009, aims to prevent and reduce reoffending through training, reintegration, and support. We deliver hospitality and horticulture training behind the prison walls and in the community by creating an environment where our students are supported to gain the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to rebuild their lives.

This is a broad and influential role, providing strategic leadership across fundraising, communications, marketing and brand. Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Income Generation
· Develop and deliver a multi-stream fundraising strategy that supports The Clink Charity's growth and long-term sustainability.
· Use brand identity to drive sales.
· Lead income generation activity across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, individual giving, events and other fundraising streams.
· Use communications to create income from marketing of our commercial products and services e.g. bakery, restaurant, café, events.

About Cool Earth
Cool Earth is a climate charity that protects the rainforest by supporting the people who live there. We have been working alongside local and Indigenous rainforest communities for over 15 years in the three largest and most important rainforests in the world, the Amazon, The Congo Rainforest and the Papua New Guinea Rainforest. Indigenous and local communities have been protecting the rainforest for thousands of years, but unfortunately are now facing a humanitarian crisis, lacking necessities like safe drinking water, infrastructure, healthcare, and stable incomes.
This makes rainforest communities vulnerable to exploitation by illegal loggers and extractive industries, who pressure them to sell their land. Once these industries take over, Indigenous peoples are displaced, losing their ancestral homes, culture, and traditional ways of life, and the rainforest is destroyed. Without these forests to regulate the earth’s temperature the climate crisis will only worsen. So what do we do to help?
By working in collaboration with these communities we help support their livelihoods, improve health, sanitation and education and provide tech to help monitor their rainforest. Our main programme involves giving direct unconditional cash to rainforest communities so that they can decide how best to use it in order to improve their quality of life. Rainforest communities can only defend their land from illegal loggers and greedy land grabbers when they themselves are resilient and strong. We help them get to that point.
What you’ll be doing
Strategic leadership and impact: we have the digital strategy, now we need someone exceptional to deliver it and keep us on our upwards trajectory.
You’ll lead the charge across our website, social media and email to skyrocket our visibility and engagement. By managing our talented Digital Officer, you’ll ensure every campaign isn't just seen, but drives action. Helping to deliver the KPIs that will define our success through 2026 and 2027.
Social Media and storytelling: in collaboration with our in-country coordinators, you’ll turn raw, frontline stories from people who live in the rainforest, and experts across the team into compelling, high-quality content. You’ll also help us develop key individuals to become the face of Cool Earth’s social. You’ll oversee our organic and paid social strategies (awareness and lead gen), working with our agency partners to ensure every post and every ad isn't just noise, but a meaningful step toward increased engagement and donor conversion.
Digital innovation and website excellence: you will champion our digital home, working with our web agency to deliver a seamless, high-performing website experience. From SEO housekeeping to major content overhauls for AEO and GEO visibility, you’ll ensure our site is more than just a resource, it’s an accessible, optimised journey that captures the imagination of every visitor and converts visitors into supporters and/or donors.
PR and influence: You’ll amplify our press work to help break through the noise. By nurturing relationships with our ambassadors and seeking out global influencers, you will secure the kind of content that puts Cool Earth at the center of the climate conversation.
Movement building via email: you’ll lead our email marketing strategy, working with our fundraising team to email supporters weekly with impact, stories from the forest, quizzes and more. You’ll use DotDigital and Salesforce to build deep, automated journeys for new supporters. By working with our CRM lead, you’ll ensure our donors receive the right message at the right time, turning one-time supporters into lifelong advocates for the rainforest.
Data-Driven Growth: You’ll constantly monitor performance and review the data, providing the Head of Marketing and Communications with the insights needed so we can keep pivoting and growing.
You’ll be proactive, testing, optimising, and implementing agency recommendations to ensure our supporter base is constantly expanding and our conversion rates are always climbing.

The role
The Armed Forces Project Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Armed Forces and Veteran Community Projects.
The post holder will have knowledge and experience of outreach/engagement, as well as experience of planning and running events and projects. The role requires flexibility and multi-tasking, as well as confidence to complete varied tasks as delegated. The role requires the coordination and chairing of working group meetings and representing the organisation at armed forces events and steering groups.
Overall, duties will differ according to the requirements of the HWE operational plan. Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include ensuring that project work is completed to a high standard and all reporting requirements are complied with. The main purpose is to ensure that the influence of HWE is maximised through the delivery of high-quality and well organised events and activities and meetings that will capture and articulate the voice and lived experience of the people of Essex.
Key accountabilities
· To work with HWE staff, and especially the Senior Management Team, to support the delivery of high quality and well-organised HWE Armed Forces Projects. This includes:
o Plan and deliver the Armed Forces Working Group online and in person meetings.
o Plan and deliver the Primary Care Network Armed Forces Working Group online and in person meetings.
o Evaluate and report on impact of the working groups.
o Enhance the attendance of the working group meetings.
o Be a point of contact for the armed forces and veteran community within Essex.
o Make connections and report on impact delivered through collaborative working.
o Project planning, to ensure that the aims, objectives and outcomes of any project are clear and in line with HWE strategy and plans, and that the intended activity is likely to achieve those outcomes; that suitable milestones and monitoring are in place; that budgets are realistic and represent best value; and that risks have been assessed.
o Project delivery, including working with and coordinating HWE ambassadors and staff, as well as external partners/stakeholders, suppliers and contractors, to ensure that HWE projects and events are delivered according to plan.
o Planning and delivering outreach events and information stands on behalf of HWE to various armed forces and veterans communities.
o Ensuring that project delivery is on time and on budget, and that risk mitigations are in place.
o Working with the HWE Communications Lead to ensure that there is a PR and communications plan in place, and that it is implemented as appropriate.
o Ensuring that projects/events are evaluated appropriately, that outcomes are monitored, and that feedback is captured and provided to stakeholders.
