The wellbeing team, comprising of the Programme Manager, Senior Ward Counsellor, Sparkle Co-ordinators and Music Therapist, work collaboratively to provide emotional and practical support to children, young people and families within the hospital. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate professional to join us as a ward counsellor. Working closely with colleagues across the charity and NHS teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality emotional support and will have the opportunity to see the direct impact of their work on the children and families we support. They will provide emotional and therapeutic support to children, young people and families during their time in hospital. This includes delivering counselling sessions, emotional first aid, wellbeing check-ins and Art for Wellbeing sessions on the oncology ward. The role focuses on supporting those experiencing the emotional impact of hospital admission, treatment and diagnosis, particularly children and families facing long or repeated admissions, medical trauma, complex care needs or significant emotional distress. Working closely with colleagues across the hospital and the charity the ward counsellor will help ensure children and families receive timeline, compassionate and coordinated wellbeing support throughout their hospital journey.

North West Anglia Hospitals Charity is entering an important period of change. Main duties of the job

This is not simply a fundraising leadership role. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly organised individual to join us as a Team Leader at our Extra Care service in Leeds. You will work alongside our Registered Manager to lead the coordination and management of our person-centred support for older adults.

Working within this service, you will be able to develop positive professional relationships with individuals, and offer support to people both in their own flats and in the well-resourced communal facilities.  You will have the vision and flair to lead the staff team to provide the highest standards of customer care and person-centred service delivery to promote independence, choice and wellbeing.

Team Leader Duties:

 

- Includes direct care, staff deployment, supervision, and joint working with families and other agencies

- To undertake an assessment of a prospective tenants’ care and support needs and preferences

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and values-led operational leader to join Sister System’s Senior Leadership Team. You do not need to be a specialist in every area of the role. • Significant experience in a senior operations, finance, people, governance or organisational leadership role within a charity, social enterprise or similarly values-led organisation.

Boaz Trust relies on the generosity of trusts and foundations to provide accommodation and support for people seeking sanctuary, and to challenge and change the unjust systems that cause destitution, both locally and nationally. We are looking for a Fundraising Officer (Trusts) who can help us sustain and grow this vital income by building positive, long-term relationships with funders, delivering high quality applications and reports as needed. 

The money raised through this role will support Boaz’s work with people who are facing or experiencing homelessness because of their insecure, changing or uncertain immigration status. Our work includes providing safe accommodation and person-centred support, while working towards our mission of ending destitution among people seeking sanctuary.

Day to day, you will research prospective funders, prepare persuasive applications and cases for support, and produce accurate, engaging reports showing what funders’ support has achieved. You will manage a pipeline of applications and reporting deadlines, keep our fundraising database up to date, and work closely with colleagues across Boaz to best communicate the stories, outcomes, and impact from our work. You will communicate directly with existing and potential funders by email, telephone and, where appropriate, in meetings.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building interpersonal relationships with both funders and supporters and team-mates, is skilled at communicating through writing, can turn detailed information into a clear and compelling case for support, and is organised enough to manage several deadlines at once. You will already have experience of trusts fundraising or bid writing. Most importantly, you will be thoughtful, curious and collaborative, be aligned with Boaz’s values and our commitment to the dignity and rights of people seeking sanctuary.

Part time, fixed term contract with probation period

Power to Prosper is a national community wealth building programme, delivered by the New Economics Foundation (NEF) in partnership with a network of community hubs across the UK. The programme works to build community-owned economic power and challenge racial and economic inequality.

While we establish Power to Prosper as an independent organisation it is being incubated within the New Economics Foundation group and contracts of employment will be offered on a fixed-term basis only via NEF Consulting.

The Involvement Officer role sits at the junction of lived experience involvement and our charitable objectives and will build meaningful collaborations and alignment between those affected by primary bone cancer, researchers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will co-ordinate and grow our Patient and Public Involvement Panel, which currently focuses on bringing lived experience to shape and review primary bone cancer research; however, we are keen for the voices of our community to contribute to our work across all our charitable pillars including our Support & Information service and our Influencing & Advocacy work. You will also support and empower our panel to share the work of Bone Cancer Research Trust more widely to their networks, ensuring a greater awareness of the charity and the impact of our work. 

This is a varied position offering the chance to apply and further develop your expertise in involvement across areas such as the shaping and reviewing of research, the capturing and sharing of lived experience through written and video stories, ensuring our health information is patient focused and understandable, and advocating with and for patients both nationally and globally.

The Role

A professional regulatory body is looking to appoint a Regulatory Officer, Supervision to support the risk-based supervision of individuals, organisations and education/training providers within a regulated professional environment. The role will involve gathering and analysing information, assessing risk, supporting supervision activity and contributing to reports and projects that help maintain high regulatory standards.

The work is varied and will include proactive supervision activity such as desk-based reviews, questionnaires, compliance testing, supervision visits and thematic reviews. You will also support reactive work by assessing reports or concerns received from stakeholders and working with colleagues across the organisation on wider regulatory priorities.

This is a collaborative and supportive team environment, with the opportunity to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This is a full-time, hybrid, permanent role, working 2 days per week in the office in Central London.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Undertaking risk-based supervision using a range of tools, including returns, questionnaires, desk-based reviews, supervision visits, thematic reviews, compliance testing and assessment of reports received
• Analysing information and producing reports on supervision activity.
• Planning and implementing supervision projects, including setting up systems to administer them effectively.
