Key Areas of Responsibility
Strategic Leadership and Service Development
- Contribute as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team to WCT’s organisational strategy, business planning and future development.
- Provide strategic leadership for the community-based services portfolio, ensuring services remain relevant, effective and aligned with WCT’s mission, values and strategic priorities.
- Use service data, community insight, evaluation and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement, innovation and growth.
- Work with the CEO and colleagues to identify funding and partnership opportunities that support the sustainability and development of services.
People Leadership and Management
- Lead, support and develop managers and team leads within the service area, setting clear expectations and ensuring effective supervision, performance management and communication.
- Promote a positive, accountable and inclusive culture that encourages teamwork, professional development, initiative and continuous improvement.
- Ensure staffing structures, deployment and resources are appropriate to contractual requirements, service demand and available budgets.
- Support recruitment, induction, development and, where required, formal peoplemanagement processes in line with WCT policy.
Contract, Performance and Quality Management
- Oversee the implementation and delivery of multiple contracts, grants and commissioned services across the community-based portfolio.
- Ensure clear systems are in place to monitor outputs, outcomes, quality, contractual milestones and service-user experience.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative information and produce clear, accurate reports for funders, commissioners, the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.
- Ensure subcontracted or partner-delivered activity is appropriately monitored and managed where applicable.
- Address underperformance promptly and support managers to implement effective improvement plans.
Financial Management and Sustainability
- Lead the development and management of service budgets, including budgets of significant value, ensuring expenditure remains within agreed funding and organisational parameters.
- Monitor income, expenditure, forecasts and variances in partnership with the Head of Finance & Resources and relevant managers.
- Ensure resources are used efficiently and that services demonstrate value for money and financial sustainability.
- Contribute to funding applications, tenders, business cases and service-costing activity where required.
Risk, Governance and Compliance
- Identify, assess and manage risks relating to service delivery and ensure significant risks are escalated through WCT’s organisational risk-management arrangements.
- Ensure services comply with contractual requirements, WCT policies, data protection requirements, safeguarding arrangements and relevant legislation and guidance.
- Contribute to the development and review of organisational policies and procedures within the postholder’s areas of responsibility.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality and information-governance standards.
Partnerships and Representation
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, statutory agencies, VCSE organisations, local communities and other partners.
- Represent WCT professionally at strategic and operational partnership meetings, networks and forums.
- Promote collaboration across WCT services and with external partners to improve pathways, reduce duplication and strengthen outcomes for local people.
- Protect and enhance the reputation of WCT in all internal and external relationships.

South East London Mind is recruiting Lived Experience Support Workers to work within two of the five neighbourhood South London and Maudsley (SLaM) Southwark Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs). Using their own lived experience of mental health challenges, the post holder will provide recovery-focused, person-centred support to individuals accessing community mental health services. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, they will support clients to improve wellbeing, build resilience, increase independence, and access community resources through a strengths-based, holistic approach.
Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a caseload of clients within the Southwark neighbourhood CMHT.
- Deliver recovery-oriented peer support using lived experience, empathy, and understanding.
- Help clients develop confidence, independence, resilience, and life skills.
- Provide information, advice, signposting, and support to access local services and community resources.
- Support clients with practical tasks, including attending appointments, engaging with groups and activities, collecting prescriptions, and communicating with healthcare professionals.
- Promote the principles and value of peer support within the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
- Maintain knowledge of local community services and resources and share this information with colleagues.
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns appropriately.

The successful candidate will:
- Have personal lived experience of mental health challenges.

To support the delivery of Oasis Community Housing’s Young People’s Supported Housing Service (including Ofsted registered project). The service supports 56 young people at any given time; in one 16-bed Ofsted registered 24-hours staffed supported housing project for 16-21 year olds with medium-high needs, plus visiting support to young people living in properties across the North of the Borough.
To provide trauma informed, holistic, personalised support to children and young people, which is in line with relevant pathway and safety plans. To work closely with Southwark Council, including Children’s Services, to ensure children and young people achieve the best outcomes, in line with project specific aims and objectives. Under the guidance of the Team Leader and Registered Service Manager, to ensure the service is compliant with the Supported Accommodation Regulations and we maintain successful Ofsted registration for the relevant project.

Oasis Community Housing is a Christian response to homelessness and disadvantage providing housing, support and other specialised services. The support provided aims to develop life skills that will enable people to live successful independent lives.

Our projects are places of safety, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), from which we work with children and young people using person-led, holistic, trauma-informed and solution-focused approaches. We aim to provide accommodation and support that helps children and young people find self-worth and the belief that they deserve a better future, supporting them in safe, positive transitions including where relevant from care into more independent accommodation, and from childhood to adulthood; providing holistic support to gain essential life skills, achieve health outcomes, to realise and achieve their aspirations, and reach their full potential.
We are commissioned by Southwark Council to provide this service, which currently consists of:
• A 24-7 staffed 16 bed Ofsted registered supported housing project for young people aged 16-21.
• A 4 bed property for young mums and their babies/toddler age children - with a staff office, visiting staff support Mon-Fri 9-5, and on call support outside of working hours.
• A 6 bed property for young mums and their babies/toddler age children – with visiting staff support Mon-Fri 9-5, and on call support outside of working hours.
• A 7 bed supported accommodation for young people (Christchurch - made up of self contained flats, and flats allowing for sharing a bathroom/kitchen with one other) - with a staff office, visiting support Mon-Fri 9-5, and on call support outside of working hours.
• A number of 4-5 bed properties, for young people with visiting staff support Mon-Fri 9 5, and on call support outside of working hours.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• To provide holistic (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) support to children and young people within our supported housing projects, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis Community Housing. Ensuring support provision is personalised to individual needs, and progress is regularly reviewed.
• To engage in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approaches to support children and young people, including working closely with Children’s Services and other professionals and partner agencies. To include; attending meetings and effective information sharing.

Qualifications:
• Relevant qualification to NVQ Level 3 (Essential)
Work Experience:
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Support Worker, including needs and risk assessment, delivery of holistic support, health and safety, working closely with partner agencies to provide support (Essential)
• Experience working with children and young people, especially those experiencing homelessness including leaving the care system, and related issues including mental ill health, trauma, abuse, alcohol and substance misuse and offending (Essential)

The Role
This is a hands-on communications role sitting at the centre of a small, ambitious and growing charity.
The Communications Manager will take responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering communications across Not A Phase. You will bring together communications from across our services, campaigns, fundraising, partnerships and events, ensuring that what we communicate is engaging, accessible, consistent and recognisably Not A Phase.
This is not simply a social media role. We are looking for someone who can see the bigger picture of the charity's communications while also being comfortable doing the work themselves - writing copy, developing campaigns, briefing creatives, producing content, updating the website, coordinating photography and filming, creating newsletters and making sure projects actually get delivered.
You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to understand what is happening within our services and turn that activity into compelling communications for our community, supporters, partners, funders and the wider public.
You will also play an important role in protecting and developing the voice of Not A Phase: positive, confident, human, community-led and grounded in the lived experiences of trans+ people.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy, Planning & Coordination

Own and deliver an organisation-wide communications plan aligned with Not A Phase’s strategy and priorities.

Maintain a forward calendar covering services, campaigns, events, partnerships, fundraising and key dates.

Overview
As Director of Fundraising and Development for Plum Village UK, you will provide strategic leadership of the charity’s fundraising at this critical juncture. Building on the successful campaigns that brought our new Being Peace Practice Centre into being, you will lead the development of a sustainable, diversified fundraising operation across donor stewardship, trusts and foundations, regular giving, legacies, and partnerships, to deepen relationships of trust and gratitude with our supporters.
This role is ideal for a fundraising leader, whether from a career fundraising background or another field, who brings strategic capability alongside deep alignment with the Plum Village tradition, where fundraising itself becomes a form of engaged practice in service of mindfulness and community transformation.
Fundraising in the Plum Village tradition is fundamentally relational. It is not a matter of extracting income from a base of supporters, but of deepening the relationships of trust, gratitude and shared purpose with those who make our work possible, in ways that embody the values of the tradition. Done well, fundraising is itself a form of engaged practice. The Director will be expected to lead the function in this spirit.
The role comes with a high level of strategic ownership. An initial fundraising strategy has been developed and shared with trustees, providing a framework of priority channels, governance arrangements and resourcing for the next phase. The new Director will inherit this as a starting frame, and will then be empowered and expected to develop, refine and bring forward a fundraising strategy on their own authority, working closely with the Lead Trustee for Fundraising and presenting proposals to the board as appropriate. The role also carries operational ownership of the fundraising mechanics, including the choice and management of supporting systems, databases and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic leadership of fundraising

Lead PVUK's fundraising strategy, developing and refining the strategic direction, and presenting proposals to the Board for approval and resourcing.

Set, monitor, and report on fundraising targets across all income channels, in agreement with the Lead Trustee for Fundraising and the Board.

Provide regular substantive updates on fundraising at quarterly board meetings, working with the Lead Trustee on the preparation of board-level reporting.

Bring forward analysis and proposals to support the Board in setting wider strategic priorities, including realistic income potential by channel and the investment required to secure it.

Donor stewardship and relationship development

Lead the stewardship of PVUK’s existing donors, lenders, and supporters with the depth of care that this base deserves, recognising it as the most precious resource of the fundraising function.

Cultivate and deepen relationships with major donors, including through personal contact, site visits, and tailored communication of impact.

Work with the Chair of Trustees, the Centre Director, and other senior figures on key relationships that require their involvement.

Steward the friendly lender base throughout the lifetime of their loans, maintaining trust and keeping them informed of the charity’s progress.

Build and maintain a culture of gratitude and recognition that appropriately honours the contributions of all supporters.
Income channel development

Lead delivery and growth across PVUK’s priority fundraising channels: donor stewardship, trust and foundation fundraising, regular giving, legacies and Gifts in Wills, and partnerships with values-aligned organisations and networks.

Develop trust and foundation fundraising as a substantial new income stream, including scoping aligned funders, building peer-to-peer introductions, constructing tailored funding propositions, and overseeing high-quality application writing and reporting.

Design and grow a regular giving programme that converts members, retreatants and supporters into ongoing monthly donors.

Develop a structured legacy and Gifts in Wills programme that normalises legacy giving across PVUK’s communications and supports those who wish to leave a Gift in their Will.

Develop partnerships with values-aligned organisations and networks where these support both income generation and the wider reach of PVUK’s work, in close consultation with monastics and trustees.
Operations, systems and budget ownership

Own the operational mechanics of fundraising for PVUK, including the choice, configuration and ongoing management of databases, donor management systems, online giving platforms, and integration with communications tools.

Manage the fundraising budget, including a discretionary supplementary budget for consultancy, training, materials creation, contracted support and light administrative resource, deployed at the Director’s judgement to develop the function effectively.

Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant supporter records and ensure sound data practices throughout the fundraising operation.

Provide accurate financial reporting on fundraising performance, working with PVUK’s finance function and external accountants as required.

Communications and storytelling

Lead the development of compelling fundraising narratives that authentically convey the work of PVUK and the Being Peace Centre to multiple audiences, including major donors, institutional funders, individual supporters and the wider public.

Work closely with the PVUK Communications team on the integration of fundraising communications with the wider communications strategy.

Commission and oversee the production of fundraising materials, including written content, graphic design, video and digital assets, drawing on contracted specialists where appropriate.

Working partnerships across PVUK

Work in close partnership with the Centre Director on all matters relating to Being Peace, with agreed ways of working on messaging, external representation, and any programming commitments made to funders.

Work with the Lead Trustee for Fundraising as primary day-to-day point of contact at board level, supporting the Lead Trustee to hold strategic oversight of fundraising on behalf of the Board.

Work with colleagues across PVUK’s communications, dharma programming, sangha-building and partnership functions, with these working relationships developing naturally in the first months of the role.

To support the delivery of Oasis Community Housing’s Young People’s Supported Housing Service (Ofsted registered). The service operates two 24-hour staffed supported housing projects, one for children and young people aged 16-17 with medium needs, and one for those aged 16-21 with complex needs. To provide trauma informed, holistic, personalised support to children and young people, which is in line with relevant pathway and safety plans.
To work closely with Gateshead Council, including Children’s Services, to ensure children and young people achieve the best outcomes, in line with project specific aims and objectives. Under the guidance of the Team Leader and Registered Service Manager, to ensure the service is compliant with the Supported Accommodation Regulations and we maintain successful Ofsted registration for these projects.

• A 24-7 staffed 8 bed Ofsted registered supported housing project for young people aged 16-21 with complex needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• To provide holistic (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) support to children and young people within our supported housing projects, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis Community Housing. Ensuring support provision is personalised to individual needs, and progress is regularly reviewed.
• To engage in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approaches to support children and young people, including working closely with Children’s Services and other professionals and partner agencies. To include; attending meetings and effective information sharing.
• To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to in your practices, and that concerns are reported appropriately and expediently, both internally, and externally, as needed.

Location: Remote working
We have two positions available – one based in the North of England and one based in the South of England.
- North: Preferably based in North-West England, including Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Blackpool and surrounding areas.

About the Team
You will be joining the clinical team at Help for Heroes, providing community-based support to the Armed Forces Community across either North or South England.The team works collaboratively as a multidisciplinary group of Occupational Therapists and Community Nurses, finding resourceful ways to deliver care that is right, fair and tailored to each individual.
Our aim is to champion the Armed Forces Community as they transition to civilian life, working together as one team to support long-term health, independence and wellbeing.
