Age UK is one of the Richmond Group of Charities (RGC), a coalition of 15 health and care charities working together to improve care for people with long-term health conditions (LTCs).
They host the RGC's We Are Undefeatable physical activity programme which is funded by Sport England until March 2028. It aims to support people with LTCs to become more physically active, including by influencing national and local policy and practice to tackle systemic barriers as well as delivery of a social marketing campaign to encourage individual behaviour change.
To support this work, we need an Engagement Officer to play a pivotal role in driving forwards the system change we're seeking by managing impactful partnerships and collaborations.
This role is offered as a fixed term contract until 31st March 2028 and will:
* Support delivery of our engagement activity and place plan, working with external and internal, national and local stakeholders
* Report to the Senior Engagement Manager within the Influencing and Engagement Team
* Work closely across the whole We Are Undefeatable team, the Richmond Group secretariat and our coalition members.
We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include regular days working from our London office (minimum once per week.) Your travel costs to the London office are not covered by the charity.

About the role
As a Children and Family worker, you will be based within our Women's Refuge service, supporting women and children up to the age of 15 who have escaped domestic abuse. You will deliver trauma-informed, child and family centred support to promote safety and wellbeing, working collaboratively with mothers to strengthen the parent-child relationship during a time of crisis. You will support with both emotional and practical day-to-day support. This is typically done through key work sessions, risk assessments, and empowerment focused activities.
You will play a vital role in supporting families, being the sole specialist within the service, which gives you autonomy to shape the role based on your expertise and experience. You will lead on child-focused support, as well as working part of the wider team to provide the support to mothers. You will deliver a range of support for children and young people, as well as family and parenting support.

The Comedy School draws on the power of comedy to improve wellbeing across community, health, education and criminal justice settings. Since 1998, we have co-designed and delivered workshops, courses and training projects that build confidence, resilience and life skills for socially isolated and vulnerable people. We are seeking an experienced and innovative, fine art curator. You will be as comfortable supporting volunteers to stage exhibitions around Britain, as working with art gallery professionals, conservators and technicians. You will understand the potential for visual art to communicate the spiritual, and be able to demonstrate how to engage audiences in reflection and encourage conversation about God and Christian faith inspired by art.

Key objectives of the post

Key areas of responsibility

The successful candidate will have a relevant professional qualification, proven experience in leadership and developmental management in one or more organisations, experience of managing Budgets, Risk, Quality and safety as well as experience of leading outcomes-based management processes. They will be able to speak Urdu, Punjabi or Bangla , will have worked in a mental health setting with ethnic minority women and will be familiar with changing statutory care funding requirements and the social, medical and public health models of mental health.
