We are seeking a talented, motivated and highly organised Business Development Manager to join our Senior Management Team and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s growth, sustainability and financial resilience.

The Role

This is predominantly an office-based role working closely with the Finance Manager and under the guidance of the CEO, with a strong focus on:

• Bid writing, tender submissions, commissioning applications and grant funding
• Identifying, securing and managing new funding opportunities
• Supporting financial planning, allocation to funded projects
• Fundraising and promoting the charity in the local community

You will lead on the development and continuation of the project-specific funding, ensuring bids and applications align with Women’s Work’s strategic objectives and future expansion plans.

Working collaboratively with the Finance Manager, you will review funding streams, develop robust applications and contribute to the effective financial management of funded activities. You will liaise with businesses, statutory bodies, organisations, community groups and charities to identify and secure new income opportunities, partnerships and sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, identify and secure new funding opportunities, grants and tenders
• Lead and co-ordinate high-quality bid writing, commissioning and tender submissions
• Support the Finance Manager with funding reviews, budgets and financial monitoring
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with funders, partners and stakeholders

Fauna & Flora is seeking a well-organised team player to join the Institutional Funding team and support the delivery of Fauna & Flora’s institutional funding strategy in the fast-evolving external context. Other organisations may call this role Programme Funding Officer / Coordinator; Institutional Funding Officer; Business Development Officer.

Reporting to the Head of Institutional Funding, you will help the organisation keep abreast of the external landscape. This will include leading on researching in-country funding opportunities from institutional sources (such as Defra, FCDO, EU, AFD, climate and environment multilateral funds and multi-donor pooled funds) and producing/maintaining up-to-date briefs on priority donor strategies to support programme teams in both pre-positioning and submissions. You will work across the statutory funding portfolio, critiquing proposals, providing editing and formatting support, and ensuring that all documents produced for donors meet their criteria, as well as follow Fauna & Flora’s approval and submission procedures. In addition, there will be scope to manage smaller bid submissions, engaging directly with colleagues across our conservation programme teams.

Excellent relationship-management and communications skills are essential to the role. The ideal candidate has some experience working with institutional donors and is comfortable pivoting between ongoing research-based tasks and short-term, deadline driven tasks. We are looking for somebody with the ability to analyse complex information and present it in an accessible format, who also enjoys working in a dynamic environment where the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is paramount.

The Brent Centre for Young People 

The Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP) is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 800 young people a year with a wide range of issues. Role description / person specification:

You would undertake research to identify new potential funding partners, write grant applications, and manage successful partnerships. You would write project funding proposals primarily to trusts and foundations, corporate foundations, and statutory sources. Some charity-sector fundraising experience is desirable. Experience in fundraising from trusts / foundations in particular would be an advantage. The ability to draft inspiring narratives for different audiences is a crucial aspect of this role. You must also be comfortable using spreadsheets and have strong attention to detail, as you would be working with project budgets. You would research and attend relevant events and identify other such opportunities to promote Pragya’s work, to network, and to learn about the latest research and trends in international development. You would contribute to Pragya’s social media posts and campaigns. A basic level of knowledge about video editing and media tools like Canva would be an advantage.

The UK branch of Pragya is a small team, and so you must be capable of using your initiative and managing your own workload. You would need to prioritise your commitments and work to deadlines as needed. You would contribute to the charity’s administrative needs.

The post holder will collaborate closely with palliative medicine colleagues to develop and lead projects aimed at improving EDI aspects across all Palliative Care departments.

This will be achieved by implementing the five-year EDI strategy plan, which supports hospice teams in integrating EDI considerations in all areas of care. About the role

As a Research Grants Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the research funding cycle, from application and peer review through to award management and post‑award administration. You’ll work closely with the Research Grants Manager, internal teams, external experts, and funded researchers to maintain high standards of governance, transparency, and impact across all our research funding activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the development, implementation, and management of Macmillan’s research grants programme.
• Create, update, and publish key documentation for each funding round.
• Coordinate expert review panels, including scheduling, logistics, and budget oversight.
• Provide secretariat support for funding panels, including preparing papers, taking minutes, and compiling applicant feedback.
• Manage post‑award processes such as grant agreements, financial tracking, and change requests.
• Monitor reporting compliance and work with Finance to ensure accurate expenditure records.
• Act as the primary point of contact for funded academics, supporting timely reporting and dissemination of research outputs.
• Work with the Communications team to promote research findings and their impact.
• Support internal and external events to strengthen the research community.
• Represent Macmillan at academic conferences and sector events.

About you

The successful candidate will bring:

• Experience in research administration or grant management within an academic, charity, or funding organisation.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience interpreting data and maintaining accurate records to support effective monitoring of funded projects.
• Experience of providing secretariat support for committees or panels
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
• An understanding of research funding processes and a willingness to learn and develop within a growing research function.

Role Overview 

Ealing and Hounslow CVS is seeking a motivated, community-focused Volunteering andDevelopment Officer to support the delivery of our infrastructure, volunteering, health equity, research, grant-making, and community inclusion programmes. 

EHCVS supports and engages with 1,000+ voluntary and community organisations across Ealing and Hounslow. This role plays an important part in strengthening the resilience, sustainability, and voice of the local VCSE sector. 

The postholder will provide practical programme support, coordinate activities, assist community groups, promote volunteering, contribute to research and insight projects, and support monitoring and reporting requirements. 

This role is ideal for someone with experience in the voluntary sector who is looking to grow their skills in infrastructure support, volunteer development, and community research. 

Key Responsibilities 

Programme Coordination 

• Support the delivery of multiple funded programmes across both boroughs. 

• Assist with organising training sessions, sector forums, Voice Networks and partnership meetings. 

• Track outputs and support managers in meeting funding requirements. 

• Maintain accurate project records and documentation. 

Infrastructure and Group Development
