The Diocese of Rochester is seeking a Stewardship Manager to play a key role in increasing the financial resources available for mission across the Diocese. Working closely with the Finance Director, Archdeacons, and parish leaders, you will help embed generous giving practices and support churches to develop sustainable approaches to funding ministry.
This is an influential and relational role for someone who can combine theological understanding, financial insight, and strong communication skills to help parishes identify and overcome potential barriers to generosity and grow in confidence around Christian stewardship.
About the Role
You will support parishes and diocesan colleagues in building a culture of generosity and sustainable giving. Your key responsibilities will include:
· Leading the development of a culture of generosity and mutual support across the Diocese
· Working alongside the Finance Director, Archdeacons and colleagues to grow parish giving and develop parish offers
· Teaching and speaking in parishes, deaneries, and online gatherings on Christian generosity and stewardship
· Encouraging and supporting the use of the Parish Giving Scheme and other digital giving tools
· Promoting best practice through parish giving reviews and stewardship initiatives
· Working with the Communications team to promote generosity through a range of media and resources
· Supporting training for clergy and lay leaders on teaching generosity and managing parish finances
· Using data and financial trends to identify barriers to giving and develop practical strategies
· Contributing to diocesan strategy by ensuring generosity and giving are embedded in planning and initiatives
· Creating practical preaching and training resources to support local churches
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
· Has significant experience in fundraising, ideally within a Christian charity or similar context
· Has experience working with high-value donors and developing giving strategies
· Understands the theology and biblical principles of Christian generosity and stewardship
· Is confident in teaching, preaching, and communicating about giving in a range of contexts
· Has strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and can motivate others to embrace new approaches
· Has a strong understanding of finance and the ability to analyse giving trends and data
· Is highly organised and able to manage multiple relationships and projects
· Understands the culture and diversity of traditions within the Church of England
· A communicant member of the Church of England (or a church in communion with it, or a member Church of Churches Together in England, the Council of Churches for Britain and Ireland, or the Evangelical Alliance)
· Able to travel to all areas of the diocese, including during evenings and weekends to meet with parishes.

About the Role
As the Operations Manager - Witness Service (RIC),
You will:
- Lead the delivery of the Witness Service within the RIC, comprising of home workers. Ensuring a high-quality, safe, and consistent initial contact and assessments for all witnesses.

The Individual Giving Manager will lead the development of RLSS UK’s first comprehensive individual giving programme, building all activity from the ground up. This includes designing compelling supporter propositions, establishing donor journeys, and creating engaging campaigns that drive acquisition and long-term support.
A key part of the role will be scoping, procuring, and managing external suppliers, agencies, platforms, and partners required to deliver individual giving products and activity. This includes the development and future launch of new income streams for RLSS UK, such as a charity lottery, as well as regular giving, legacy marketing, and in-memory giving opportunities.
The postholder will play a central role in shaping the future of supporter engagement at RLSS UK, introducing best practice, ensuring strong stewardship, and embedding a supporter‑centred culture across the organisation.
JOB PURPOSE
To develop, launch, and grow RLSS UK’s first individual giving programme, building sustainable income streams that support our vital work in water safety education. As the first dedicated individual giving role, you will design the strategy and deliver hands on activity, creating compelling propositions, supporter journeys and campaigns across regular giving, one‑off gifts, lottery, legacies and in‑memory giving.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Strategy
- Develop RLSS UK’s first Individual Giving strategy, setting clear plans, targets, and opportunities for growth across all giving products.
- Introduce and embed best practice in compliance, data management, supporter care, and ethical fundraising.
Supplier and Partner Development
- Scope organisational needs and procure/manage suppliers, agencies and platforms required to deliver individual giving activity.
- Lead onboarding and manage delivery to agreed standards, budgets and timelines.
Supporter Engagement and Campaign Development
- Design end‑to‑end supporter journeys (acquisition, welcome, nurture, upgrade, reactivation, retention).
- Plan and deliver multi‑channel campaigns (digital, social, email, paid, direct mail) to acquire, retain and engage supporters.
- Build audience understanding through segmentation, insight and experimentation.
- Work closely with Marketing and Communications, Membership, and other teams to embed Individual Giving into the organisation.
Product Development
- Scope and pilot propositions for: Regular Giving, Digital one‑off, Charity Lottery, Legacy Giving, In‑Memory, Appeals/integrated campaigns, and Mid‑value.
- Produce product business cases with KPIs, budgets, phasing and implementation plans.
Reporting and Evaluation
- Establish reporting and monitoring frameworks for Individual Giving activity.
- Use early data and insight to inform decision‑making, future planning, and product development.
- Ensure all activity complies with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, GDPR, PECR and Gambling Commission requirements.
- Monitor and report on individual giving performance against KPIs and targets, reporting on performance to the Director of Income Generation and Engagement, Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.

Experience using GA4 and Google Tag Manager, as well as other native platform analytical tools for tracking, reporting and assisting optimisation.
• Proven knowledge and use of digital marketing tools, including email marketing and automation platforms (DotDigital would be advantageous).
• Demonstratable experience of developing paid social media campaign tracking and an understanding of the changing landscape in social media i.e. current Meta restrictions

Delivery of our campaign objectives depends on the contributions of our members and supporters. Digital Marketing Manager
£45,000 pa + benefits (including 25 days annual leave and pension)

About the role:
This Best Companies Top 50 mid-sized company and Top10 charity is looking to appoint an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to lead the digital and design team.
The Digital Marketing Manager will manage the Rainbow Trust website and digital platforms, oversee social media and email marketing activity, lead with a data first approach to all organic and paid digital advertising and deliver engaging content to achieve our fundraising and engagement growth goals.
This is an exciting time to join the team - digital and data are at the heart of our fundraising and engagement strategy. Developing our digital capabilities and activity is core to the charity’s growth plans, so there is huge scope for you to make a real difference by driving the digital agenda and strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Engagement you will work collaboratively across the department to ensure digital platforms, processes and integrations are optimised. You will also work to tell the stories of the seriously ill children and families that we support, overseeing the production and delivery of engaging multi-channel content to inspire our audiences to support us.
What we’re looking for:

· Poised and outgoing – you are naturally persuasive and enthusiastic and stimulate others into action; building rapport and developing good working relationships
· A multi-tasker with a sense of urgency for goal achievement – you delegate effectively with thorough follow-up, and are quick to learn
· An innovative, practical and creative problem-solver – you are a big picture thinker that responds quickly to varied activities and changing conditions.
· Confident use of Content Management Systems, email marketing platforms, social media management and marketing tools, Google Analytics, Data Studio and Tag Manager – you have an imaginative and creative working style
