CAFOD is seeking a Senior Advocacy Adviser to lead its Global Advocacy Programme on Food Systems, championing agroecology and pushing for food systems that prioritise people, communities and the environment. This role works closely with global partners to influence policy at national, regional and international levels, ensuring that partner, women’s, Church and social movement voices are central to decision‑making.

You will drive CAFOD’s policy and advocacy work on food systems, build coalitions, represent CAFOD in global and UK policy spaces, and influence governments and multilateral institutions. How are staff supported to work remotely?

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Coram Voice as our new Children’s Rights Manager in the BCP area. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of advocates and an Independent Visitor (IV) coordinator, delivering high-quality routine advocacy and Independent Visiting services for children and young people.

You will be joining a child-focused organisation, making a real difference in the lives of children and young people in the BCP area by ensuring their voices are heard, their rights are upheld, and their experiences in care or need are positively supported.

Recruitment process

Our Service Managers will undertake Shortlisting. Successful candidates will be invited for interview. The interview process comprises of a written exercise and a panel interview. Successful candidates will have a further one to one interview in accordance within Warner recommendations. You would be employed by Spear Bristol Trust, working from St Andrew’s Avonmouth where Spear Bristol North West is a key missional activity. Key Information:

• Salary: £25,000 FTE
• Part-time, 3 days a week - Tuesday to Thursday
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

• The Spear Programme offers a rewarding opportunity to work with young people, but it requires a dedicated commitment. Due to the term-based nature of the programme (i.e. two consecutive 4-week programmes in autumn, spring and summer), we expect annual leave to be taken between, rather than during terms

Person Specification

• An active Christian, dedicated to representing the values of Spear and St Andrew’s Avonmouth.
• A commitment to grow and learn spiritually and as a Christian leader, and a desire to learn and understand coaching techniques.
• Passion for social justice, especially supporting young people in employment or education.
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills, both over telephone and face to face, particularly in group facilitation.

Role title: Senior Youth Engagement & Careers Lead
Salary: £29,000 – £34,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Kettering (80% office-based)

Purpose of the role

The Senior Youth Engagement & Careers Lead increases the reach, use and impact of Youth Employment UK’s careers and skills support for young people.

The role focuses on promoting and embedding key products including Young Professional Online Courses and Virtual Work Experiences, while supporting development of new programmes. The postholder builds relationships with schools, colleges, youth organisations and partners, ensures youth voice is embedded, and maintains safeguarding standards.

Outputs (what is delivered)

• The role increases engagement with careers and skills products through relationships with schools, colleges, youth organisations and partners, promoting resources and delivering presentations.
• The role manages the Youth Ambassador Programme, including recruitment, onboarding and ongoing engagement through monthly sessions and events.
• The role acts as Designated Safeguarding Lead, maintaining policies, systems and reporting, ensuring safeguarding and Prevent responsibilities are met.
• The role contributes to development of careers and skills programmes, informed by youth insight.

• Success is shown through increased numbers of young people accessing and using careers and skills products.
