This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery and ongoing evolution of our ambitious Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy, securing transformational five- and six-figure grants that will drive our long-term impact and growth.
We're looking for an exceptional relationship-builder and communicator with a proven track record of securing five- and six-figure grants from Trusts and Foundations. You'll be confident translating complex data into compelling funding propositions and using your outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills to inspire support for our mission.

Your role
Your primary responsibilities include executing a data-driven engagement strategy to expand income from church giving, individual supporters and legacies, as well as leading the landmark Global Edge Church initiative. You will personally manage high-value church giving portfolios with senior leaders, oversee national event presences and line-manage direct reports across church fundraising, individual giving, editorial content and supporter care. Bowel Research UK are looking for a manager with experience across either philanthropy, corporate partnerships or both to join their Fundraising team in a new role.
This role will lead and manage the corporate and philanthropy income streams, building on existing successes, spotting opportunities to engage new partners and donors, and nurture green shoots.
This role, with support from the Head of Fundraising and Communications, will develop, embed and lead the corporate and philanthropy strategy. The Fundraising Manager will lead on the development and growth of several key income streams, including:
Working in close partnership with SUDEP Action's other Fundraising Manager (who oversees Community fundraising, Trusts and Grants and other aspects of our in-memory giving), the postholder will also share responsibility for the development, delivery and performance of wider fundraising activity across the charity.
A significant aspect of this role will involve re-engaging existing high-value supporters while identifying and cultivating new prospects. The ideal candidate will be confident networking, opening doors, building meaningful relationships and inspiring people to support a cause that may be unfamiliar to them.
The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including fundraising colleagues, the CEO, and wider management team, drawing upon their expertise to develop effective fundraising plans, test assumptions and ensure the charity is represented professionally, authentically and consistently.
Given the nature of SUDEP Action's work, the role also requires sensitivity, empathy and the ability to engage thoughtfully with people affected by epilepsy and bereavement.

Principal Responsibilities:

11. Filling in for the Union Administrator for HR operations committee and People Strategy Minutes where there is absence.
12. Comply with any auditing process and procedures.

About the role
The Community & Events Fundraising Team help us achieve our goal of raising significant funds for our human rights work. The Events Fundraiser is accountable for our key challenge event portfolio including flagship events such as the London Marathon and the Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with fundraisers who have each committed to raising hundreds or thousands of pounds and in return expect full support and quality advice to inspire and support them in their fundraising. The role also supports multiple other events and would include a variety of skills including negotiating, writing, project management, budgeting, marketing etc.
