Background and purpose

We are the only UK-wide charity andfree membership organisation for everyone affected by a genetic bleeding disorder. We aim to empower people affected by a bleeding disorder to live life to the fullest; offering support, including events and local groups, the latest news and in-depth information resources, and campaigning and advocacy to demand the best possible care, safe and effective treatment, and equitable access for everyone affected by a bleeding disorder.

There are over 5,000 members of the Haemophilia Society, including people and families living with bleeding disorders, as well as healthcare professionals. The charity’s supporters help fundraise the costs that are vitally needed to be able to offer membership – and services such as events and printed publications – entirely free to all members.

About the role

The Finance Manager will ensure the smooth, accurate, and compliant day-to-day financial operations of THS. You will oversee transactional processing, payroll, local group accounting, management of our partner charity accounts, creating monthly management reports and year-end audit preparation.

Job Purpose: This role is pivotal in enabling THS to deliver its mission and meet its strategic objectives.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

· Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIPFA, AAT).

· Experience of Xero accounting and Paycircle payroll.

· Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and experience of using databases to record accurate and up to date information.

· Good working knowledge of Access CRM is desirable.

· Experience of working with Stripe, PayPal, Wordpress, SumUp and Apron are desirable.

· Experience of working in a similar role is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

· Income & Reconciliations: Responsible for income processing, including banking of cash, and processing and tracking of CAF and Stewardship vouchers.  Work with the Office Team to correctly identify bank donations and general transactions.

· Database & Bank Matching: Managing Xero - Access reconciliations and monthly bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations.

· Gift Aid: Support Gift Aid processing.

· Expenditure Processing: Responsible for expenditure processing, including staff and volunteer expenses, purchase invoices, and associated filing.

· Xero Processing: Responsible for Xero processing, including input of expense claims, purchase invoices and purchase payments, bank payments, invoices, invoice receipts, uploading bank entries, and associated filing.

· Supplier & Customer Management: Set up suppliers/customers, oversee debtors, answer queries, make corrections, and export Trial Balance.

· Payroll & Pensions: Responsible for payroll (Paycircle Payroll) and pension processes.

· Local Group & Partner Charity Accounts: Responsible for financial activities in local groups and partner charity.

· Asset Tracking: Managing the Fixed Asset Register, and all physical assets.

· Reporting & Audit: Prepare audit preparation and year end accounts, budget and forecasts for the finance year.

· Management Accounts: Prepare monthly Management Reports to be presented to the Board of Trustees.

· Ad-Hoc Support: Handle other ad-hoc financial enquiries from staff, trustees, young ambassadors and volunteers.

· General: General office administration duties and finance support.

· Travel to events: Willing and able to work occasional evenings / weekends and travel to support THS events across the UK.

We're looking for a strategic and relationship-focused fundraiser with experience leading complex, high-value fundraising campaigns. You'll be equally confident working with major donors, senior colleagues, Trustees and volunteer leaders. You'll combine excellent judgement with strong planning skills, bringing together people, resources and fundraising strategy to deliver ambitious campaign goals.

While initially focused on The Art Works, you will have a longer-term remit to help shape future capital fundraising priorities that emerge from our strategic ambitions. You’ll personally progress high-value donor relationships while ensuring fundraising campaigns are strategically structured, insight-led, appropriately resourced and effectively delivered.

You'll help broaden our philanthropic reach by expanding a strong and diverse prospect base across local, national and international audiences. This includes developing approaches to high-value and discreet funders and making the best use of senior volunteers and networks.

The difference you’ll make
Reporting to the Head of Development, you will:

• Provide excellent strategic management of capital fundraising campaigns across the organisation, with an immediate focus on The Art Works as well as responsibility for supporting the planning and delivery of future campaigns, including the Mound Level Galleries redevelopment and other major capital priorities.
• Contribute to the development of long-term capital fundraising strategies, campaign plans and prospect pipelines to support future organisational priorities beyond The Art Works, ensuring continuity of donor engagement and campaign readiness.
• Translate campaign strategy, timelines and gift table requirements into clear delivery plans and actions across teams.
• Monitor progress toward income and activity targets, identify variances early and recommend tactical adjustments based on internal insight and external conditions.
• Lead the development and maintenance of campaign reporting, including dashboards, risk logs, income phasing and governance papers.
• Engage directly with major donors, trusts and foundations to cultivate, solicit and steward high-value gifts, working with senior colleagues, Trustees and Campaign Board members as appropriate to maximise outcomes.
• Oversee and direct cultivation and stewardship activity across the capital campaigns team, ensuring delivery of agreed fundraising strategies and a structured and strategic approach to progressing prospects and delivering income targets, while working closely with the wider Development team to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to donor engagement.
• Expand the philanthropic prospect base by identifying new opportunities and supporting approaches to high‑value or discreet funders.
• Oversee the preparation of high‑quality briefings, materials and follow‑up for senior‑level donor meetings and solicitations.
• Coordinate all donor hospitality activity for the campaign, liaising with colleagues across the Development team and other teams as required, including events, briefings, site visits and other cultivation opportunities.
• Lead the implementation of donor recognition and stewardship frameworks, ensuring consistent, high‑quality supporter experiences.
• Ensure operational readiness for the public phase of the campaign, coordinating colleagues across Development, Communications and Visitor Experience to create effective giving pathways and engagement opportunities.
• Provide day‑to‑day direction to the Development Manager – Capital Campaigns; the Campaigns Coordinator and other team members (to be brought in on a temporary basis as required at key campaign stages) to support high standards of documentation, planning and internal communication.
• Promote collaborative, inclusive working practices across the team and wider organisation.

Who we are looking for
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following range of knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Significant leadership experience in capital or multi‑year fundraising campaigns with £multi-million targets.
• Experience of developing and sustaining a portfolio of high net worth prospects at 5, 6 and 7-figure levels including discreet and invite-only funders.
• Experience modelling and managing fundraising cash flow, campaign pacing and income phasing across multiple fundraising priorities, ensuring alignment with organisational and project delivery requirements.
• Ability to expand donor networks at local, national, and international level.
• Strong presentation and writing skills, with the ability to influence, articulate complex ideas and inspire support.
• Experience planning and delivering high‑quality cultivation events and donor engagements.
• Strong understanding of fundraising sector trends, major donor behaviour and the philanthropic landscape.
• Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, including Directors, Trustees, volunteer fundraising campaign board members and other high‑level advocates.
• Strong knowledge of UK charitable giving and tax considerations relevant to fundraising.
• Highly motivated, with the ability to act on initiative while exercising good judgement about when to involve others.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with confidence interpreting financial, pipeline and performance data.
• Experience using CRM/database systems such as Spektrix or similar.

It would also be great if you have

• Experience of fundraising for multiple capital projects and transitioning donor relationships between successive major campaigns. Knowledge of the arts, culture, heritage, community engagement or education sectors.
• Understanding of how environmental sustainability, climate action and low‑energy design influence contemporary philanthropic priorities.
• Enthusiasm for the mission and work of the National Galleries of Scotland.
• Experience of fundraising in an international context, particularly in North America and Asia.

Senior Philanthropy Executive - Mid-Level Giving

Are you a confident relationship-builder who can inspire people to make a meaningful difference for children and families across Scotland?

We are looking for a Senior Philanthropy Executive to join our Partnerships & Philanthropy team and help grow income from CHAS’s mid-level giving audience. This role will focus on building strong relationships with donors and prospects who typically give £1,500–£9,999 per year, while identifying new opportunities to grow supporter loyalty, increase giving, and develop major gift prospects.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys thoughtful relationship management by combining compelling communication and proactive donor development. You will manage and grow a portfolio of mid-level donors, create tailored stewardship plans, spot opportunities within our supporter base, and work across CHAS to help build a strong pipeline of future philanthropic support.

The role sits within CHAS’s Partnerships & Philanthropy team and will play an important part in supporting long-term income growth and sustainability for the charity. The post can be based at any central CHAS site, but this is a flexible role that will allow for ample home and remote work. Regular (weekly) travel to meetings and events will be required in this role with some locations not easily accessed via public transport. It would be beneficial if you have a full driving license and access to a car. There may be opportunities for occasional overnight travel, but this will be planned well in advance and with your consultation. 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a blend of fundraising experience, excellent relationship skills and the confidence to engage supporters in a warm, thoughtful and compelling way.

You will have:

• Experience of fundraising, including a track record of securing four and five figure gifts.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with experience of increasing supporters’ financial and non-financial commitment over time.
• The ability to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and donor communications that inspire people to support a cause.
• Confidence working across teams to develop strong pipelines, identify opportunities, and translate relationships into income.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
• The ability to communicate with warmth, clarity and influence — whether through writing, meetings, events, presentations or conversations with supporters.
• An understanding of data protection, GDPR and responsible supporter information management.

You do not need to have worked in children’s hospice care before, but you should be motivated by the opportunity to represent a global leader in children’s palliative care. Knowledge of hospice or paediatric palliative care would be helpful, but it is not essential.

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to grow support for our work in the UK and internationally. 

You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. Key Details:

What You will do:

• Lead the delivery of HOPE worldwide UK’s fundraising strategy, with clear plans, priorities, KPIs and income targets.

As Supporter Care Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for people engaging with our three charities: Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity, Evelina London Children’s Charity, and Guy’s Cancer Charity. You’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service, managing a wide range of enquiries from supporters—whether they’re donating, fundraising, or simply seeking information.

The role requires you to become highly knowledgeable about activities across our three charities, engaging with internal teams and maintaining a positive, helpful presence in all interactions.

You’ll handle supporter enquiries across various communication channels, ensuring timely responses within our service level agreements. From processing donations and managing complaints to maintaining accurate records in the fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge), you’ll help ensure a smooth, efficient experience for every supporter. You’ll also be helping to manage relationships with external suppliers, making sure they deliver on our high standards of supporter care.

The Team
The role is within the Individual Giving, Legacies & Supporter Care team. The team is led by a Head of
Individual Giving who manages these vital areas of public fundraising. This role will be managed by the  Supporter Care Manager.

Key Relationships
Internal: All fundraising teams, Funding Team, Gift Processing, Fundraising Database, Legal and Compliance, Digital, Marketing and Communications.
External: Fundraisers and donors (the public), Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital trust staff, Agencies operating face to face fundraising, fulfilment agencies, events operations agencies

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Enquiries & Communication

• Act as the first point of contact for supporters via email, telephone, voicemail and post, delivering warm, professional and responsive customer service across all our charity brands.
• Triage and respond to a wide variety of enquiries – from donations and event registrations to complaints and requests – within a 48-hour timeframe, in line with our service level agreements.
• Engage with supporters with empathy and kindness, helping to build long-term relationship and positive experiences.
• Handle sensitive requests such as cancelling or amending regular gifts, updating contact preferences, and allocating donations to specific funds.
• Manage and escalate complaints appropriately, ensuring they are logged accurately in Raiser’s Edge and resolved in line with our policies and timelines.
• Liaise with third-party agencies, particularly face-to-face and door-to-door fundraising partners, to ensure prompt resolution of supporter issues and flag delays or concerns to relevant internal teams.

Donation Processing & Database Management

• Process donations received over the phone, ensuring secure handling and accurate entry into the database.
• Update and maintain supporter records in Raiser’s Edge CRM, recording all communications and actions taken.
• Work closely with the Gift Processing team to ensure timely thanking of donors and that all relevant correspondence is correctly documented.
• Respond to specific donation-related requests, such as Gift Aid updates, tribute gifts, or restricted fund allocations, with care and accuracy

Process Management & Operational Support

• Manage and improve core Supporter Care processes, ensuring team documentation, templates, and workflows are regularly reviewed and kept up to date.
• Use mapping tools like Mural and Visio to visually present processes.
• Lead on the upkeep of supporter communication tools, including templated responses, acknowledgement letters, and postal receipts.
• Maintain operational systems such as the franking machine and oversee supplies of stationery, packaging, and materials used across the team.
• Handle briefing documents from fundraising and funding teams, ensuring necessary updates to processes and supporter care materials are implemented.

Insights, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Collect both quantitative (e.g. response times, enquiry volumes) and qualitative (e.g. supporter feedback) data to measure Supporter Care performance and help to identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to quarterly reporting exercises, including complaint analysis and supporter experience metrics.
• Share supporter stories, feedback and ideas with the wider fundraising and supporter experience teams to help shape more meaningful engagement.

Collaboration & Cross-Team Working

Role Description

Working closely with the Trusts team, you will manage and grow a portfolio of trusts and foundations, build strong relationships with funders, identify new funding opportunities, and develop compelling applications to secure five-figure plus gifts and long-term support. You'll also work alongside clinicians, researchers and charity colleagues to bring transformational projects to life and demonstrate the impact of donor support.
To be successful as the Senior Philanthropy Executive, Trusts, you will need:

• Experience identifying and researching trusts and foundations, including developing relationships with funders and key stakeholders.
• A proven track record of creating persuasive funding applications and securing or stewarding five-figure donations from trusts and foundations.

Role Purpose

Child Bereavement UK is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role will play a vital part in helping Child Bereavement UK turn up the dial across our corporate partnerships fundraising.

As our Corporate Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Corporate & Commercial team to grow income from new and existing corporate partners, commercial collaborations and wider business development opportunities.

You will provide administrative and operational support across the team, helping to build and maintain successful partnerships, coordinate commercial activities, identify opportunities to maximise income, and ensure an excellent experience for partners and supporters at every stage of their journey with Child Bereavement UK.

The role is essential in ensuring excellent supporter stewardship, accurate record keeping, and the smooth delivery of fundraising campaigns, events, and partnership and commercial activities.

Main Responsibilities

· Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Corporate and Commercial Fundraising team

· Confidently manage a small portfolio of corporate supporters while providing proactive support to the Corporate Partnerships Managers in the stewardship and growth of their portfolios. Support the delivery of the corporate supporter activities, contributing to a team target.

· Ensure all supporter records are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date on our database, and document all corporate engagement activity.

· Execute and adapt bespoke campaigns

· Assist with the preparation of funding proposals, sponsorship packages, and partnership applications.

· Maintain an awareness of corporate giving trends, news, events, campaigns and legislation in the UK and pick up on opportunities or topical issues that will enhance the charity.

· Provide comprehensive stewardship for our corporate supporters.

· Prepare regular communications, rewards and incentives and feedback.

· Seek out value added benefits such as generating awareness of the charity, volunteering, gifts in kind, introductions, attendance at events and pro-bono work.

· Provide support, where appropriate, for wider fundraising activity to develop opportunities across different fundraising areas.

· Research and identify prospective corporate and commercial partners, maintaining an accurate pipeline of opportunities and supporting new business activity to help grow sustainable income.

· Prepare and coordinate high-quality corporate communications, including partnership proposals, impact reports, stewardship updates and marketing materials, ensuring supporters receive timely, engaging and personalised communications throughout their partnership journey.

· Support the development and delivery of Child Bereavement UK's emerging commercial offer, undertaking research, coordinating sales and business development activity, and providing flexible administrative support as new commercial opportunities are identified and brought to market.

· Continually raise the profile of Child Bereavement UK by networking and representing the charity at events as required.
