The role will take responsibility for collating project information and supporting internal teams to communicate and demonstrate project impact and ensure accountability to our external partners and audiences.

Volunteer Centre Hackney is a thriving charity (annual income circa £1.1m, with 29 paid staff) providing volunteering infrastructure to the voluntary sector across the City of London and the London borough of Hackney. We support over 1500 residents a year to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others. We also provide volunteering resource, and advice and guidance on best practice in volunteer management, to hundreds of charities and community organisations.

Through our specialist programmes, our impact on the lives of residents is huge. We match volunteers to housebound residents to help them engage with communities and leave their homes; we provide long term personalised support to people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities to help them volunteer and find paid jobs; we support patients to deliver hundreds of their own activities and peer support groups at GP practices across City and Hackney; and in partnership with Public Health, we support over 250 Community Health Champions to share vital health messaging with their own diverse communities.  

This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilise diverse fundraising methods, and build and develop new project ideas and partnerships. You will lead on income generation primarily through sourcing and applying to trusts and foundations, and with the potential to build new corporate partnerships, community campaigns and individual giving. You will build authentic relationships with funders and supporters, and together with VCH colleagues, will identify new programme models as ways to generate income. You will contribute to the development and production of compelling stories, evidence and marketing and build and maintain the infrastructure needed to track and achieve progress against annual income targets.

Post holders need to have excellent communication skills, to represent the charity in writing and in person. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivating and confident to work primarily alone, but also able to engage and collaborate with staff from across the organisation to share information and impact evidence to support your role. If you are successful in securing funding there will be the potential to recruit additional support, and for you to become the Head of Fundraising of a small team.

MCKS Charitable Foundation UK is an ambitious and rapidly growing charity supporting schools and communities across the UK through school pantry programmes, breakfast clubs and wider wellbeing initiatives that help children and families experiencing food insecurity.

About the Role

The Senior Fundraising Manager is responsible for delivering Brightside’s fundraising activity with a core focus on grants from trusts and foundations, and major donors. Reporting to and working closely with the CEO, the postholder will forge new relationships with major donors and manage our grant applications to support Brightside to achieve its fundraising targets. The Seafarers’ Charity is the leading fundraising and grant‑making charity dedicated to improving the lives of seafarers and their families. We are now seeking an experienced Grants Manager to lead the delivery of our annual grant‑making programme and play a key role in achieving our Thrive strategy.

About the role

Reporting to the Impact Director, the Grants Manager will manage an annual grants programme of approximately £3 million, overseeing the full grants lifecycle from application and assessment through to monitoring, evaluation and learning. You will build strong relationships with funded partners, prepare robust funding recommendations for Trustees, and ensure our grant‑making is effective, proportionate and aligned with best practice.

You will also line manage an Impact Executive (0.4 FTE) and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to share learning, evidence impact and support wider fundraising and advocacy work.

• Proven experience managing grant programmes and the full grants lifecycle

As Trusts and Grants Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 20 trusts giving five and six figure grants, playing a significant role in securing vital income for Place2Be. You will take ownership of key funder relationships and lead on complex, high-value funding applications and reports. The Laing Family Trusts are a group of four grant-making trusts which provide funding for a wide range of charities engaged in promoting Christian faith and values and in the relief of poverty both in the UK and overseas.

The Trusts are going through an exciting time of transition, with changes in our staff team, new Trustees, a planned move to a new database which will facilitate the introduction of online processes, and the launch of exciting new funding programmes – Constructive Pioneers, encouraging science and engineering innovation in the built environment, and a place-based programme on the Isle of Wight-, all contributing to the organisation’s growth as we prepare for the future. The Grants Manager role will be a crucial support to these developments. 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful experience and use your knowledge of the voluntary sector in a small but busy and friendly environment, supporting charities helping those in need.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in the delivery of all aspects of the grant-making process, including research and identification of potential grantees, assessment (including site visits), participation in decision-making, grant offers, monitoring and evaluation. The Talent Set is delighted to be partnering with the Henry Smith Foundation on the recruitment of a Grants Database and Processes Manager. This is a pivotal role within the Grant Operations Team, responsible for leading the day-to-day management, development, and continuous improvement of the Foundation’s grants database and associated processes.

When grant-making systems work well, funding reaches the organisations that need it, and those organisations can reach the people they help without delay. When they don't, the gaps are felt by real people waiting for real support.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring grant-making activity is supported by robust systems, accurate data, and efficient, user-centred workflows. It combines technical system ownership with strong relationship building, project delivery, and a commitment to learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as system lead for the Foundation’s grants database, ensuring data quality, integrity, and day-to-day reliability
• Design, implement, and continuously improve grant-making processes, tools, and workflows
• Lead system improvements and projects, including testing, configuration, and collaboration with external suppliers
• Provide guidance, training, and hands-on support to colleagues to ensure confident and consistent system use
• Oversee reporting and data outputs to support operational insight and organisational decision making
• Champion best practice in data management, documentation, and compliance across grant operations

Person Specification

• Proven experience managing or administering complex databases and systems
• Track record of designing and improving operational processes and workflows
• Experience delivering training or support to non technical colleagues
• High level of attention to detail, with confidence working with data and reporting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, solutions focused approach with a strong commitment to learning and continuous improvement

Sight Scotland is Scotland’s leading charity providing specialist care, education and research for people with vision impairment. The charity has been in existence for over 230 years, and offer a variety of services in the community as well as education, transcription into alternative formats and residential care for adults and children. Their vision is of an inclusive Scotland where people of all visual abilities have the opportunity to thrive. To achieve their mission they are looking for a Fundraising Manager focused on trusts and grants who will cultivate a pipeline of opportunities and ensure an excellent funder experience, to provide Sight Scotland with sustainable income.  

The Trusts and Grants Fundraiser is a new role brought in to support with this growing income stream. This is an initial 2 year fixed term contract with the potential to become a permanent position.

The fundraiser will work beneath and with the Fundraising Manager – Trusts to develop trust income. Specifically the post holder will manage the small trust portfolio, support with reporting on KPIs and impact, create engaging cases for support, and support the Manager with various tasks, freeing them up to develop larger, strategic bids.

This role would suit someone who has experience of trusts and grants, either at an officer or fundraiser level, who can demonstrate experience of developing a trust and grants pipeline, creating compelling applications and directly delivering income success.
