Purpose of the role 

The Literacy Pirates is an educational charity working across the UK to develop the literacy, confidence and perseverance of children who are falling behind in school and have fewer opportunities in their personal lives. We offer in-person and online literacy programmes that support children to meet age-related expectations in reading and writing, succeed in school, and thrive beyond the classroom. 

Literacy Pirates is at an incredibly exciting point in its 15-year journey, as we embark on year two of our five-year national expansion plan, with a target to quadruple the number of young people we support over the next four years and double our fundraised income.

About the Fundraising & Communications Department 

The Corporate Partnerships Manager reports to the Head of Development and is part of the broader fundraising and communications team along with the Trusts & Foundation Manager and Communications Manager.

Corporate partnerships revenue accounts for 40% of our fundraised income and is a key strategic target for growth. The Corporate Partnerships Manager role is therefore critical to achieving our national expansion ambitions.

This role is office-based in London, with the option to work from remotely two days a week. 

Key Purpose 

• To manage, renew and deepen existing corporate partnerships. 

• To generate additional revenue through identifying new business and income growth opportunities. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• To manage a portfolio of existing corporate partnerships, building excellent relationships with all levels of stakeholders in order to renew and grow partnerships. 

• Secure new fundraising income through developing and managing a portfolio of prospects; and by demonstrating effective networking and relationship development approaches. 

• To manage and deliver standalone corporate volunteering days, projects and event; building strong relationships with clients and participants in order to develop deeper partnerships. 

• Design and develop new corporate volunteering events and manage special annual events, such as the Hackney Half Marathon fundraiser 

• Oversea the individual giving tracking and donor engagement process, supervising and providing guidance on process improvements. 

• Research and identify corporate foundations to apply to, writing and submitting compelling proposals.  

• Draft and submit engaging written progress reports to corporate partners and foundations. 

• Be a strong advocate for team and department objectives, looking for new fundraising opportunities and working effectively with colleagues outside of the fundraising team. 

• Manage and monitor agreed partnership income and associated expenditure to ensure ROI and cost effectiveness across all relationships.

Person Specification 

• Minimum 3 years-experience of managing and developing corporate partnership relationships in a charity fundraising department 

• Ability to effectively manage external partner meetings, taking a confident and proactive approach, being responsive and accountable and looking for opportunities to deepen relationships 

• A confident and enthusiastic networker, always looking to develop new relationships, with an enterprising approach to corporate fundraising 

• Interest in, and enthusiasm to, identify and develop new corporate fundraising strategies and initiatives.

• Proven track record of securing income and managing partnerships and sponsorships within a target driven environment 

• Experience of delivering events, both standalone and as a part of a wider partnership. 

• Knowledge of effective individual giving processes and donor engagement approaches.  

• Good organisational skills, excellent task management and follow up, and demonstrating the ability to set and manage conflicting priorities 

• Excellent writing skills and experience of developing written funding proposals.  

• Commercial awareness with knowledge of a range of commercial and business sectors 

• Proficiency in the use of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint 

• Knowledge of fundraising database e.g. Salesforce or similar 

• An interest in children's literacy and passionate about addressing poverty and inequality

About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships. 

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.   

Impetus is driven by a shared belief in tackling the barriers that hold back young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in education and employment. Alongside investing extensive financial and non-financial support in our charity partners through our Investment Team we also seek to influence decision makers to design and implement evidence led policy and direct new resources to get young people the support they need through our Public Affairs team. About this role

The Development Director (Philanthropy) provides strategic leadership across Impetus’ philanthropy and stewardship portfolio, with responsibility for relationship management, renewal, growth and selected new business activity. The postholder will work with high-value funders, including corporate partners, trusts and foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.

In 25/26, the Philanthropy and Partnerships team generated £11m in philanthropic income, alongside £2.8m in pro bono contributions. The Development Director will play a key role in delivering Impetus’ growth ambitions, supporting the increase in philanthropic income to £14m by 2029. 

Working closely with the Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the role will translate the fundraising strategy into clear stewardship, renewal, relationship-growth and selected new business plans, ensuring strong donor retention, high-quality engagement and sustainable growth in high-value income.

Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the postholder will oversee the donor lifecycle across the philanthropy portfolio, with particular focus on strategic stewardship, renewal, relationship growth and the effective transition of selected prospects into long-term donor relationships. They will personally lead and support significant six and seven-figure donor relationships and selected funding opportunities, while working with colleagues to ensure the philanthropy pipeline, stewardship plans and account management disciplines are strong.

Working collaboratively across the Philanthropy and Partnerships team and with colleagues across the organisation, the Development Director will ensure a joined-up approach to donor stewardship, renewal, relationship growth and selected donor acquisition, maximising income, partnership value and long-term impact within the agreed fundraising strategy.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Relationship Management & Growth

• Own and oversee strategically significant donor and partner relationships at six and seven-figure levels, ensuring high levels of retention, satisfaction, trust, income growth and long-term value.
• Set and embed best practice stewardship standards, ensuring donors receive timely, consistent, high-quality and relevant engagement and communications throughout their relationship with Impetus.
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure a smooth transition between new business, and long-term stewardship.
• Ensure account plans for priority donors and partners include clear renewal and growth pathways; engagement and risk-management plans.
• Act as senior relationship owner where required, modelling strong stewardship and coaching the Head of Philanthropy and other colleagues to navigate complex or sensitive relationships.

New Business: Pipeline & Conversion 

• Personally lead on select six and seven-figure level priority prospects and strategic funding opportunities, managing the full fundraising cycle from qualification to close.
• Work with trustees, senior volunteers and networks to support warm introductions, relationship development and follow-up, in line with agreed new business and stewardship priorities.
• Work with colleagues to translate Impetus’ impact, evidence base and venture philanthropy model into compelling propositions for donors, prospects and priority audiences.

Performance and KPI Reporting

• Accountable for ensuring effective implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of fundraising performance frameworks, KPIs and reporting disciplines.
• Use performance data and insight to improve team effectiveness, inform portfolio planning and resource recommendations, and identify opportunities for retention, renewal and growth.
• Oversee philanthropy portfolio data quality, reporting and forecasting, ensuring robust systems and processes.
• Ensure robust systems, processes and performance disciplines are in place to support delivery of agreed philanthropy portfolio objectives and wider fundraising goals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and evidence-led decision-making across the philanthropy portfolio and direct team.

Donor Communications

• Provide strategic oversight of donor communications for the philanthropy portfolio, ensuring messaging is clear, compelling, timely and aligned to Impetus’ voice, values and evidence base.
• Work with Communications and Philanthropy colleagues to design and continuously improve philanthropic communications, including cases for support, proposals, pitches, stewardship materials and donor updates.

Leadership and Team Performance

• Line manage and develop the Head of Philanthropy, providing direction, coaching and performance oversight within agreed strategy and priorities.
• Develop the Head of Philanthropy as the operational lead for stewardship, ensuring capability, succession and high performance across their team.
• Set clear objectives and success measures for stewardship, renewal, relationship growth and portfolio delivery, aligned to Impetus’ wider income strategy.

• Significant experience in major donor and/or corporate fundraising at six and seven-figure gift level, with a strong track record of securing new income and managing complex partnerships.

We are seeking to appoint an Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) in West Sussex. The role will be based at Langley Green Hospital in Crawley, with regular travel to other acute and forensic wards in West Sussex, such as Meadowfield, Priory and St Magnus. This role involves providing Independent Mental Health Advocacy, working within the framework of the Mental Health Act 1983 to support people to understand their rights under the Act and participate in decisions about their care and treatment across the area of West Sussex. The post requires an understanding of advocacy, experience of managing a client case load, excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of professionals, whilst retaining independence.

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week.

Aims and scope of the post

The Museum Data Manager helps museums through all the stages of bringing their collections data into the Museum Data Service (MDS). They help  make the onboarding process reassuringly quick and easy, particularly for those museum staff and volunteers with limited technical knowledge. The postholder also makes the ingested data as useful as possible to end users by mapping the various source data fields to Spectrum units of information.

MDS is a transformative service from Collections Trust, Art UK and the University of Leicester. It aims to connect and share all the object records across all UK museums, providing the raw material for anyone to work with this wealth of knowledge. The core MDS system uses Knowledge Integration’s CIIM middleware.

Main responsibilities and tasks

• Responding to museums that have expressed interest in joining MDS and leading them through the onboarding process.
• Setting up and managing organisations and user accounts in the MDS CIIM and where needed, Wikidata.
• Generating and filing customised data processing and data deposit agreements based on MDS templates.
• Helping museums export collections data from a range of collections management systems and other systems.
• Helping museums apply access permissions to their data in the MDS CIIM.
• Mapping source data fields to Spectrum units of information.
• Proactively liaising with, and helping, museums to update their MDS data at agreed intervals.
• Responding to enquiries from MDS CIIM users, troubleshooting non-technical problems and liaising with MDS technical support as needed.
• Helping to prepare guidance and deliver training relating to the onboarding process.
• Responding to enquiries about MDA codes that identify UK collection-holding organisations and their collections and maintaining the database of these.
• Undertaking data cleaning work for Collections Trust to support collections consultancy work.

General responsibilities

• Following the principles of Collections Trust’s policies and procedures and those of MDS.
• Additional duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

Line management and key relationships

The Museum Data Manager has no line management responsibilities and reports directly to the Chief Executive of Collections Trust (for HR matters) and the MDS Head of Service (for MDS work). The postholder will work closely with the MDS Technical Manager alongside the User Engagement Officer (based at Art UK) and technical support team (based at the University of Leicester).

Person specification

• Three years’ experience working closely with museum collections data in at least one collections management system, preferably a Spectrum Compliant one.
• A good understanding of museum collections data and the way it is produced and shared in the sector.
• Good working knowledge of Spectrum: the UK Museum Collections Management Standard (version 5.1), particularly its units of information.
• Experience of showing others museum professionals how to perform IT-related tasks, ideally remotely via video.
• A rigorous approach to routine administration, with an excellent eye for detail and consistency.

Each hospital charity provides the added extras that are "over and above" what the NHS can fund as standard. ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Grants Manager role is primarily based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, with the expectation to travel to the other sites, Good Hope Hospital, Heartlands Hospital, and Solihull Hospital.

This post will oversee the Grants Team at the Charity, with the responsibility of overseeing the distribution of grant funding to projects that align with the charity's mission.

Working as part of a team, the role involves managing the full grant-making process, from designing funding programmes and assessing applications to monitoring funded projects and evaluating their impact. The manager works closely with applicants, trustees, and external stakeholders to ensure funding decisions are fair, transparent, and achieve meaningful outcomes.

They also develop grant policies, manage budgets, ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements, and use data and evaluation findings to improve funding strategies.

Strong relationship management, strategic planning, financial oversight, and decision-making skills are essential, along with a commitment to delivering positive social impact.

This role may involve occasional evening and weekend work at charity events and events organised by our supporters.

This role sits within our Grants Team and will oversee two Senior Grants Officers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Project 21 is a growing charity providing opportunities, support and experiences for people with Down’s Syndrome across Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. As Project 21 continues to grow, we are looking for an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to work alongside our CEO & Founder and provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation.

This is a newly created role and a genuine opportunity to help shape the next chapter of Project 21.

The COO will lead our day-to-day organisational operations, providing oversight across people, services, finance, systems, governance, compliance and organisational development. ROLE PURPOSE

Sitting within our Philanthropy & Partnerships team, you will play a pivotal role in securing the philanthropic support that makes ShelterBox's work possible. By identifying, qualifying and developing major donor opportunities from our supporter base, networks and wider community, you will help connect more people with our mission to ensure no one is without shelter after disaster.

At the heart of this role is building and strengthening the major donor pipeline. You will proactively analyse data, identify high-potential prospects, uncover valuable connections and work with colleagues across the organisation to create opportunities for supporters to deepen their engagement with ShelterBox. Through strategic prospect research, qualification and relationship building, you will help move individuals from initial interest to meaningful philanthropic partnerships.

Working closely with colleagues across Philanthropy & Partnerships, senior leadership, volunteers and key stakeholders, you will develop and implement tailored cultivation plans that create pathways to giving and maximise the long-term potential of prospective donors. You will support the delivery of bespoke engagement opportunities, proposals and communications drawing on ShelterBox's powerful humanitarian mission, compelling stories and tangible impact to engage diverse audiences and inspire long-term philanthropic support.

You will also play a key role in coordinating the Philanthropy Advisory Board and supporting events and activities that help expand networks, generate introductions and unlock opportunities to engage prospective major donors with ShelterBox's work.

Through strategic pipeline development, relationship building and effective use of data, insight and networks, you will help grow a thriving community of future major donors whose investment enables families affected by disaster, conflict and climate-related crises to access shelter, safety and a foundation for recovery.

Highly organised and confident using CRM systems, supporter insight and prospect research tools, you will be experienced in managing and progressing a pipeline, ensuring opportunities are effectively qualified, cultivated and moved through the donor journey.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Effectively manage a portfolio of major donors: developing strong and personal relationships, delivering bespoke stewardship and communication plans to ensure donors feel part of ShelterBox; providing them with inspiring stories, unique engagement opportunities, and strong impact reporting.

Your Mission 

CALM has launched an ambitious fundraising growth strategy, and this brand-new, high-impact role is positioned right at the heart. 

• You’ll join a growing team, fresh off its biggest fundraising year to date.
• You’ll lead the strategy for how CALM recruits, stewards and retains mass donors, with responsibility for one-off giving, regular giving and the development of other mass market products.
• You’ll establish and scale a supporter engagement programme that grows both connection to CALM and sustainable income for our work. 
• You’ll bring together data, insight, communications and fundraising to create supporter experiences that recognise why people choose to support CALM, and give them reasons to stay involved.

We’re looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with practical experience. As a new role within a high-performing team, you’ll have the autonomy to shape how CALM approaches mass supporter engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and own CALM’s overarching Supporter Engagement strategy, taking responsibility for targets, performance metrics, and budgets to scale mass donor income.
• Oversee the end-to-end recruitment, stewardship, and optimisation of the Individual Giving portfolio, maximising the LTV across one-off donations, regular giving, and other products within the portfolio.
• Lead the continuous development of new, audience-focused fundraising products and giving methods for a mass giving audience, to build and secure a predictable baseline of recurring income for the organisation.
• Champion the use of supporter data to design, deploy, and optimise automated, multi-channel communications, ensuring mass audiences receive highly personalised, relevant, and meaningful touchpoints.
• Work collaboratively across all fundraising functions and wider CALM teams to deploy products and communication tools holistically, ensuring donor experiences reflect true supporter needs rather than internal processes or structures.
• Pioneer the department's approach to gathering robust supporter data and audience insights.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practice, with a view to use these to increase CALM’s income
• Working with the Head of Public Fundraising, and direct reports to; set, manage and deliver against budgets, reporting on OKR’s, performance and reforecasting accordingly.
• Attending CALM events to help provide a great experience for all attendees
• Leadership and line management of team members, supporting them to achieve their objectives and creating a high-performing team.

Your profile

Competencies
Essential

• Proven track record of driving significant income growth through  developing and executing multi-channel mass donor strategies (across regular giving, one off giving) whilst maximising Supporter Lifetime Value (LTV). 
• Experience of using CRM segmentation, audience insights, and automated marketing tools to deliver personalised, high-volume communications that treat mass supporters as individuals. 
• Expertise in mapping, testing, and optimising end-to-end supporter journeys, removing operational friction, and building retention 
• Strong track record of driving collaboration across wider departmental functions (such as Brand, Communication and Digital) to deliver cohesive, integrated public-facing acquisition campaigns.
• Experience managing income and expenditure budgets, setting performance metrics/OKRs, and executing detailed financial reforecasting to demonstrate clear return on investment (ROI). 
• Demonstrated ability to line manage, coach, and motivate a multidisciplinary team to foster a high-performing, supportive team culture.

Desirable

• Proven experience designing, testing, and scaling innovative fundraising products or concepts to secure recurring, predictable revenue streams.

Financial control responsibility for accurate, complete, Charity SORP compliant balances in the balance sheet. Review of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations, completeness and of income and expenditure lines and controls accounts. This includes ownership of fixed assets register, KPIs for debtor and creditors aged balances, correct processing of taxes (PAYE/NI and VAT) and banking administration.

Responsible for administering the Procurement Policy and Delegation of Authority. Manage and delegate the financial systems. This includes all aspects of systems management, continuous development and full utilisation of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) cloud-based software. Lead and support system-led financial and procedural controls to elevate current practices to meet best practices in accounting and reporting as per IFRS102 and Charity SORP regulatory standards. The role includes change management and process embedding, upskilling end-users and improving user experience.

Business partner across internal and external stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are met. Achieve high level of assurance and integrity in reports including interrogation and correction as required. Support variance analysis and commentaries on all levels of reporting.

Support finance colleagues in delivery of overall Finance objectives when required i.e. absence cover and deputise for the Head of Finance.
