You will be working across several of our Children’s Residential Services in Greater Manchester, being the designated Responsible Individual for these services you will work closely with the Registered Managers and their teams to ensure our services are evidencing best safeguarding practice and are judged Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.

About the Position…
Our Senior Residential Manager and Responsible Individual supports the Head of Service in the delivery of the Trusts residential services for cared for children. You will oversee several services that provide support to vulnerable young people, working across a range of differing needs.
- Line-manage and support children’s residential registered managers to ensure high‑quality person‑centred care across all services.
- Ensure all registered children’s homes comply with standards, regulations, policies, and procedures, with effective systems supporting staff in delivering care.
- Act as the Responsible Individual for designated children’s homes or services.
- Lead quality‑assurance processes to maintain good or outstanding practice and clearly evidence outcomes for children.
- Ensure registered managers promote and safeguard the welfare and well‑being of children in residential care.
- Work with our People and Culture team to improve staff recruitment and retention, supporting managers with staffing matters including disciplinary, capability, practice concerns, and internal investigations.
- Promote the trust’s residential services externally, develop relationships with external stakeholders, support referrals and placements, and participate in relevant conferences and events.
- Ensure delegated budgets are managed in line with financial procedures and that each residential service meets income and expenditure targets.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
About the you…
Do you have the following skills and experience,
- Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare of equivalent
- Significant Children’s Residential experience as a Registered Manager or suitable equivalent, experienced in promoting high quality children’s residential services.
- Strong knowledge of childcare legislation and OFSTED inspection requirements.
- Extensive experience leading high-quality residential services for young people with complex social or health needs, understanding care planning, transitions, and leaving care.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with local authority officers and commissioners.
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles, including managing change and managing of service budgets, including income and expenditure.
- An analytical approach to report writing, continuing improvement of services and measurement of care outcomes.
- A full current driving licence – mileage will be paid at 45p per mile
- Up-to-date IT skills and the ability to use electronic recording systems (Clearcare) to improve service delivery.
- A flexible approach to work, including some weekend on-call requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the business performance of the home alongside the Registered Manager, delivering agreed income, occupancy, cost and surplus targets
- Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness and hospitality through effective leadership of housekeeping, catering and maintenance teams

You will report to the Director of Finance, line manage one Senior Database Officer and be responsible for managing The Sick Children’s Trust’s database, Donorflex, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data is maintained to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that fundraising income is processed correctly and coded in line with organisational procedures, and that service user data is updated on an accurate and timely basis, ensuring GDPR-compliant records. You will be the first point of contact, alongside the Senior Database Officer, for day-to-day database queries, providing essential support to ensure the database is effectively managed and continues to meet the organisation’s operational requirements.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing the processing of all income transactions into the database on a timely basis
- Line manage, coach and support one Senior Database Officer
- Processing service user information into the database on a timely basis
- Responsible for all Gift Aid management
- Producing scheduled and ad-hoc data selections for mailings as requested
- Analyse and produce reports using database data to support other areas of the Charity in their strategic decision-making
- Responding to queries from staff in all areas of the Charity on database use, income coding and service user data
- Leading on developing and streamlining the database processes and use of the database across the whole Charity, managing integrations between the Database and Finance system

Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church. We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for Immingham and the South Humber Ports to support seafarers, fishers and their families.
In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.
About the role
No two days are the same. You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.
You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities. You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.

Introduction
Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity exists to create new possibilities for people with heart and lung diseases. Working closely with Royal Brompton & Harefield hospitals – part of Guy’s & St Thomas, the largest foundation trust in England – we fund life-changing projects to expand medical understanding and find innovative treatment options; to renew and upgrade equipment; and improve the everyday experience of patients and staff alike.
The charity
Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity is dedicated to improving the lives of people with serious heart and lung disease. Each year we grant around £6m to fund projects at our partner hospitals, including current initiatives such as:
- Equipping Royal Brompton Hospital with a high specification genetic sequencer to screen and plan treatment for patients and their families
- Creating a new consultant fellowship in imaging related to structural heart disease
- Providing core funding for the rb&hArts programme combining improvements to the hospital environment with therapeutic activities such as Singing for Breathing
- Supporting three fellowships annually to support allied health professionals in pursuing research projects
- Funding the Road to Recovery programme to provide mental health support for patients with long Covid
- Committing £100,000 to a Patients’ Fund each year, to support around 40 micro-projects from palliative care ‘comfort boxes’ to better seating and new televisions on wards
- Our funding comes from the fundraising efforts of thousands of supporters as well as income generated by our investments in property and equity markets.
We have a small, committed and skilled team (31 in 2025/26), with expertise across fundraising, marketing, HR, property management, grant-making and financial management.
