As a positive subsequence, we are looking for a Head of Finance & Business Support, who will become a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing the financial stewardship of Citizens Advice Stevenage. Financial Leadership

Prepare, review, and present draft and final budgets for approval by the board, ensuring timely submission of financial information to the CEO and Trustee Board.

Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards, including variance analysis and annual balance sheets, ensuring timely submission of financial information to the CEO and Trustee Board.

A 24-month fixed-term contract - With the aim of extending the contract, subject to future funding and income growth
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week (flexibility available)

About Dementia Together Wirral
We are a local, independent charity based on the Wirral, supporting people living with dementia, their carers, and former carers by providing community-based activities and day trips. We help people stay active, enjoy friendship and creativity, reduce isolation, and feel included, valued and respected.
Demand for our activities is growing, and we want to reach more people across the Wirral. We are now seeking an enthusiastic fundraiser to help us grow and diversify our income, enabling us to provide more activities, events and support.

About the role
As our lead fundraiser, you will help us develop and deliver a practical fundraising plan to support the charity’s continued growth. You will write fundraising bids and build relationships with local businesses, community groups, volunteers, supporters and potential donors, and identify opportunities to raise funds for our services.
You will also help us strengthen our fundraising systems, improve supporter communications, and ensure that donors and funders understand the difference their support makes.
The post is initially offered for 24 months, with the aim of extending it if the role helps secure additional income and future funding allows.
Key responsibilities
As our lead fundraiser, you will:
Grants and trusts
- Research and maintain a pipeline of suitable grant-making trusts, foundations and local funding opportunities, identifying those that align with the charity's objectives.
- Prepare clear, persuasive funding applications where appropriate, ensuring they demonstrate the impact and difference DTW has made.
Community and local fundraising
- Develop and deliver a realistic fundraising plan with a strong focus on grant funding, local business fundraising and community fundraising.
- Build relationships with local businesses, community organisations, faith groups, schools, clubs and individual supporters to develop opportunities for ongoing support.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for sponsorship, donations, community fundraising events, and charity partnerships.
Participation, stewardship and communications
- Encourage and support volunteers, trustees and staff to participate in fundraising activities and help foster a culture of fundraising across the organisation.
- Help organise and promote community fundraising events, campaigns and initiatives, identifying creative ways for local people and organisations to support DTW.
- Maintain accurate fundraising records and help ensure good donor and funder stewardship, including appropriate follow-up and acknowledgement.

Essential
- Experience of successful grant fundraising and community or local business fundraising.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, persuasive funding applications and reports.
- A target-driven and organised approach, with the ability to manage a fundraising pipeline, work to deadlines and report progress against agreed targets.
- Creativity, resilience and initiative, with the confidence to develop new ideas and persist in a challenging fundraising environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak engagingly about DTW’s work in meetings, presentations and community settings.
- Good IT and record-keeping skills, including the ability to use a CRM or similar database, email, spreadsheets and digital communication tools.
- A practical, hands-on approach suited to a small charity, with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends when required for community fundraising, networking, events and supporter activity, with flexibility agreed in advance wherever possible.
Desirable
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, dementia and the needs of people living with dementia, their carers and former carers.
- Knowledge of the Code of Fundraising Practice and relevant fundraising standards.
- Experience of using Donorfy or another CRM system.
- Experience of working or volunteering in a charity, community organisation or small team
- Ability to travel across the Wirral Peninsula for meetings and events. Access to a vehicle for business use would be desirable.
Reporting arrangements
Reporting to the Charity Manager, you will also work closely with trustees and volunteers to identify fundraising opportunities and gather evidence of impact.

Finance & Governance Lead
Salary: £45,000 - 47,500 FTE (£22,500-£23,750 pro rata depending on experience)

Lewisham Parochial & Almshouse Charities is looking for a Clerk to the Trustees: an experienced, independent-minded governance professional to support our board on governance, finance and administration.
We are a small group of four historic charities, amalgamated by Charity Commission scheme in 1990 but with roots reaching back over 400 years in the ancient parish of Lewisham. We run the Lloyd Court almshouse in Ladywell, providing independent housing for older residents, and award small grants across the parish. Our staff team is small — a House Manager and a Premises Manager on site — supported by a board of volunteer trustees.
What you'll do:
- clerk the board and its committees, including agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up;
- maintain the three-year budget and prepare the annual accounts for audit and filing with the Charity Commission;
- keep statutory and operational records, policies and compliance in good order;
- advise trustees on charity law, regulation and good practice;
- and work with the House Manager so trustees stay sighted on day-to-day operations.
What you'll need:
- demonstrable experience of clerking, company secretarial or equivalent governance support to a charity board;
- sound knowledge of charity governance and Charity Commission requirements;
- financial acumen across budgets, management accounts and annual accounts;
- excellent minute taking and clear written English

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Policy Manager to lead IPSEA's policy and influencing work to achieve positive change for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Head of Legal and Training, trustees and colleagues across the organisation, you will set strategic policy priorities and develop evidence-based influencing plans that support IPSEA's mission and long-term objectives.
Drawing on insights from our advice and tribunal services, legal expertise and the experiences of families, you will identify systemic issues within the SEND system and develop policy solutions that improve children and young people's access to the support and education to which they are entitled. You will ensure that IPSEA's policy positions are credible, legally robust and informed by the lived experiences of those we support.
You will lead IPSEA's engagement with government, Parliament and other key decision-makers, identifying opportunities to influence legislation, policy and practice at both national and local level. This includes overseeing responses to consultations, parliamentary inquiries and calls for evidence, as well as preparing briefings and strategic advice to support senior-level engagement and advocacy.

Hackney Migrant Centre (HMC) is a community-based charity providing free legal advice, casework support and holistic support services to refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants.
Approximately 50% of the people we support are homeless, and many are experiencing destitution due to precarious immigration status, the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) restriction or whilst living undocumented in the UK. HMC’s work is informed by our vision of a UK where no one is forced into destitution, exploitation, or vulnerability because of their immigration status.
HMC is currently a small team of 7 employees, including a CEO, Community Manager, Immigration Team Manager, Immigration Caseworker and Access to Justice Coordinator, and an Administrative Support Officer alongside a larger team of up to 60 volunteers.
ABOUT OUR SERVICES
We are based in our office in Stoke Newington, where we provide immigration advice & representation and our housing advice and casework support services. We also offer regular community sessions in a local venue on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. We call these sessions our ‘Wednesday Service’. The Wednesday Service has historically been the heart and soul of HMC, and it continues to play a key role in our service delivery, accessibility and community presence.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Housing and Destitution Caseworker will provide or co-ordinate advice on welfare and housing issues to migrants. This will include people visiting the Wednesday Service or referred by the Immigration Team. The post holder will assist with follow-up casework, and recruit and develop a small volunteer Housing and Destitution Support Team to support with these tasks. The post-holder will work to build partnerships with external specialist advisers, to expand our diagnostic advice provision and support with successful referrals for onward legal challenges.
Main duties
- Provide casework and advocacy support to homeless and destitute migrants regarding housing, and welfare entitlements including asylum support, Children Act and Care Act duties, mainstream benefits and homeless duties.

Develop and coordinate partnerships with external specialist housing advisors to deliver housing advice and take on cases where able.

Recruit and induct volunteers to a small Housing and Destitution Support Team and supervise their work.

Keep up to date with legislation and practical guidance required to support destitute migrants, including attending relevant training sessions.
