Legacy giving plays a vital role in ensuring lasting change for people living with sight loss. The Legacy Giving Manager will help deepen supporters’ connection to our mission to Save Sight. Change Lives.

Reporting to the Head of Supporter Development, you will lead the development and delivery of the legacy and in-memory giving strategy, delivering thoughtful, inspiring campaigns that celebrate the impact of legacy and in-memory giving. You’ll combine creative storytelling with data-driven insight to nurture meaningful supporter journeys, ensuring everyone who chooses to remember the charity in their will or in tribute to a loved one feels valued, respected, and part of something truly transformative.

Role Responsibilities

Strategy Development

• Develop and deliver an ambitious legacy and in-memory giving strategy and operational plan, driving sustainable income growth and achieving KPIs.
• Develop and implement associated objectives, workplans and KPIs to track progress.
• Work closely with stakeholders, to curate and implement compelling legacy marketing plans to promote awareness of gifts in wills and recruit new pledgers.

Management of Legacy Programme

• Responsible for ensuring legacy programme meets annual targets, with appropriate stretch targets in place.
• Work collaboratively across all Income streams, Communications and Impact to drive growth in the identification and cultivation of new legacy pledgers.
• Organise legacy events to support cultivation and stewardship of legacy givers.
• Work with Retail to embed legacy messaging in our charity shops and use in‑store activity to grow awareness and legacy leads.
• Provide exceptional stewardship of legacy pledgers individually and collectively, through the development and implementation of a legacy stewardship programme.
• Sensitively and expertly co-ordinate with the legacy administration function (which is outsourced), including regular communication with our professional legacy advisor, exploring and initiating stewardship and impact reporting activities.
• Collaborate on and personally take steps to maximise existing initiatives such as Gifts in Will month and identify new opportunities to market legacies and grow pledgers.
• Lead on developing and leading initiatives to improve awareness of legacies amongst charity staff, volunteers, charity shop customers and the Board.
• Collaborate with the Individual Giving Managers to identify and maximise legacy marketing opportunities through existing and new activities. 
• Take personal and collective responsibility for ensuring legacy fundraising is conducted in a legal and ethical manner in line with Charity Commission guidance, and other regulators as appropriate.
•  Advise and effectively manage legacy income targets and expenditure budgets, including reforecasting and target setting.
• Identify and develop strategic opportunities across fundraising, championing new initiatives and ways of working as necessary.

Person specification

ESSENTIAL

• Proven experience and knowledge of legacy giving, including channels for direct marketing to drive legacy giving.
• Experience of developing and producing legacy marketing and stewardship materials.
• Knowledge of key trends affecting legacy fundraising and able to apply insights to own work.
• Experience of using a fundraising database/CRM for effective analysis of legacy marketing campaigns and trend giving patterns.
• Strong understanding of donor stewardship and the motivations behind legacy giving.
• Strong organisational planning and project management skills.
• Proven skills and aptitudes to complete complicated procedures.
• Demonstrable analytical skills and highly numerate with experience of keeping and monitoring financial & budgeting reports.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

Interview process

· Round 1: Successfully shortlisted applicants will be invited for a 1st round interview online via MS Teams – comprising a standard competency-based interview question format.

· Round 2: Those shortlisted for the 2nd round stage, will be invited for an in-person interview the following week – which will include a presentation, with further instructions provided prior to the interview. Candidates will be asked to present to the panel at the start of the 2nd round interview.

As our Philanthropy Manager, you will lead our major donor programme and manage a growing portfolio of high-value individuals, trusts and partners. The Salesforce and Systems Manager will play a key role in the Programmes team ensuring that our systems and processes run smoothly, that data is accurate and well maintained, and that we continue to innovate through our use of data systems to improve delivery and working across the wider Trust.

You will lead the usage and development of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, Salesforce, for the delivery and evaluation of our programmes. You will be responsible for overseeing the building and management of application and evaluation forms ensuring that internal and external colleagues views have been considered. Whilst this role sits within the programmes directorate, you will lead on Salesforce for the Trust as a whole and collaborate with other teams to ensure optimal running of the platform.

You will manage a number of external relationships, including our external Salesforce partners, application site partners and other digital and data partners to ensure that work is well managed, delivered on time and on budget. You will work closely with the Senior Impact and Evaluation Manager to ensure data on applications, evaluations, and long-term destinations is of high quality and securely held.

The role will report to the Senior Impact and Evaluation Manager, and work alongside, and with support from, the Data and Evaluation Officer.

Main duties

• Act as the Trust’s in-house Salesforce lead, keeping up to date with sector updates (including Artificial Intelligence), training staff members in how best to use Salesforce

• Lead on the management and integration between Salesforce and the Trust’s other data collection platforms including Form Assembly, Sutton Trust Online, Campaign Monitor, and Zoom

• Work cross-Trust to identify potential Salesforce process improvements or system changes that will deliver efficiencies, prioritising these and overseeing their build and deployment

• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including web developers and Salesforce/Form Assembly representatives

• Manage the build and development of programme application sites with input from programme leads

• Responsibility for quality of data coming into and held in Salesforce, complying with GDPR requirements

• Manage the design, building, and dissemination of evaluation forms and ensure high rates of completion

• Manage the two-way sharing of application and engagement data with universities and delivery partners

Terms of Appointment

Human Resources Manager (maternity cover)

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 / year

Location: Our offices are in Toynbee Hall, East London, but we welcome applicants from across the UK who do not wish to relocate. You should be willing to travel to our London office for team and project meetings up to six times per year. Project related travel costs will be reimbursed

Hours: Four to five days a week (flexible – minimum 28 hours/ week). The Young Foundation supports a 4.5 day working week and staff work this, wherever possible (pro rata for those working less than a 35-hour week)

About the role

This role would suit a motivated self-starter with a passion for the work we do, someone who can work independently while also influencing and collaborating with senior teams and trustees. You will have a deep understanding of inclusive recruitment, employment law, payroll, pensions, and HR systems.

You should be a proactive, CIPD Level 7-qualified professional (or equivalent senior-level experience) with the ability to embed equality, diversity, and inclusion into all aspects of HR practice. MediCinema is a UK-registered charity dedicated to providing cinema experiences inside hospitals to support the emotional, physical and mental health of NHS patients, their families, and carers. For 25 years, we have brought the power of cinema to hospitals, and in recognition of our impact, MediCinema was honoured with BAFTA’s Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award at the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards.

We build and run fully accessible cinemas within hospitals, screening the latest films at no cost to patients or the NHS. The Role

Reporting to the CEO, this new senior leadership role is central to ensuring MediCinema’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and people-centred culture. The Director will lead the charity’s finance, HR, and business operational functions, ensuring robust systems, compliance, and strategic alignment with our mission.

This is a hands-on role for a values-driven leader who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-led environment and is passionate about improving patient experiences through innovative service delivery.

This role will be managing external HR and IT consultants and supported by a part time (1 day per week) assistant.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

· Participate in strategic and business planning processes, supporting the CEO and trustees to develop the strategic plan

· Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) contributing to the strategic direction and day to day management of the organisation.

Finance

· Lead the finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and statutory reporting.

· Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Manage cashflow, reserves, and risk, supporting strategic financial planning.

· Lead on financial reporting to the Board and relevant committees.

· Oversee payroll, pensions, and financial administration.

· Managing the annual audit process and liaising with auditors

The Person

Experience and Background

We are seeking a strategic leader with experience across finance, operations, and HR — ideally within the UK charity or public health sector. You may have worked in healthcare, education, or social impact organisations, and bring a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and people leadership. Candidates with a relevant background in SMEs may be considered, but will need to demonstrate a commitment to quickly developing the specialist knowledge required by charity regulations and an aptitude for operating within the third sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

About Friends of Ibba Girls School (FIGS) 

Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan (FIGS), is a registered UK Charity (114620) set up in 2011, at the request of local community leaders to help build and develop a girls’ boarding school in South Sudan. Ibba Girls Boarding School now educates over 320 primary and secondary school girls from across Western Equatoria State and employs around 40 staff. 

The school provides high-quality education in a context where most girls leave school before completing primary education and very few reach secondary level. FIGS is a relatively small UK-based charity with a strong national reputation and a substantial impact, demonstrating what high-quality girls’ education can achieve in South Sudan. FIGS works closely with Windle Trust International, which provides technical, financial and organisational support to the school in South Sudan. 

FIGS raises approximately £500,000 each year to meet the running and development costs of IGBS and FIGS. Fundraising and effective communications are therefore central to our mission. We are a small team and are looking for someone who will thrive in a varied role, is proactive, organised, and capable of handling multiple demands, with a readiness to learn and take on additional responsibilities. 

The Role 

This role involves supporting both fundraising and communications activities, alongside essential administrative functions. The role is home-based but requires the ability and willingness to travel to fundraising and supporter events across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends. 

FIGS is a trustee-led charity, with an active and engaged Board that plays a hands-on role in governance, strategy, fundraising and ambassadorial work. Trustees bring a wide range of experience, including diplomacy, international development, education, finance and communications, and work closely with staff to ensure the charity is well-run, accountable and effective. 

While Trustees retain strategic oversight and are closely involved in key decisions, FIGS also has a small paid staff team responsible for day-to-day operations, fundraising delivery and communications. The culture is collaborative and supportive, with regular interaction between Trustees and staff, and a shared commitment to the success of Ibba Girls Boarding School. 

The staff team currently consists of: 

• Head of Fundraising and Communications, responsible for overall fundraising strategy, communications, donor relationships and line management 

• Fundraising and Communications Officer (this role), supporting the delivery of fundraising and communications activity, donor engagement and essential administrative functions 

Staff work remotely within the UK and collaborate closely online, with regular team meetings and clear priorities. In South Sudan, Windle Trust International acts as FIGS’ managing agent, providing professional management and operational oversight of Ibba Girls Boarding School. 

This role sits at the heart of FIGS’ fundraising and communications work. You will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications, interact regularly with Trustees (particularly around campaigns, events and reporting), and help ensure that systems, supporter engagement and communications run smoothly and professionally. 

The role is well-suited to someone who enjoys working in a small, mission-driven organisation, is comfortable with a degree of trustee involvement, and values collaboration, clarity and shared responsibility. 

Key Responsibilities 

Fundraising and Communications 

•  Support fundraising plan delivery: Assist in achieving income targets and KPIs, including helping to draft grant applications and end-of-project reports. 

• Campaign and appeal support: Assist with planning and delivery of fundraising campaigns and appeals (digital and postal). 

• Donor communications: Draft and support newsletters, blogs, appeals, event invitations, and other donor communications

• Relationship-building: Support engagement with individual donors, community groups, churches, schools, and other supporters 

• Events support: Assist with organisation, promotion, and delivery of webinars and in-person fundraising/supporter events. 

• Online presence: Help maintain and develop FIGS website, email marketing, social media content, and video content. 

• Donor stewardship: Ensure supporters are thanked promptly and follow-up actions are completed in line with policy. 

• Ambassadorship: Represent FIGS positively in communications and at events. 

Administration and Fundraising Support 

• Database and record maintenance: Update CRM and administrative records. 

• Administrative support for campaigns and events: Help coordinate fundraising activities and materials. 

• Communications materials coordination: Maintain photo/video archive, collateral, and documentation. 

• Administrative support for smooth running: Ad hoc tasks as agreed with Head of Fundraising and Communications. 

• Trustee and volunteer support: Practical arrangements for events and supporter engagement. 

• Support Head of Fundraising and Communications with monthly fundraising and communications reports

• Gift Aid and basic financial support (future): Assist with processing if needed. 

• Team meetings: Prepare for and attend weekly online meetings. 

And other duties from time to time as set out by the line manager.

Person Specification 

Essential

• Experience in fundraising, communications, charity administration or a closely related role. 

• Experience of fundraising from Trusts and Foundations, digital fundraising, email fundraising, or demonstrable transferable skills. 

• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly for different audiences. 

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail. 

• Confidence in using databases/CRMs, email marketing platforms and standard office software. 

• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, GDPR and good practice in supporter data management. 

• Ability to work independently from home and manage competing priorities. 

• UK-based, with the ability and willingness to travel to events across the UK. 

• Commitment to FIGS’ values and to the importance of girls’ education. 

Desirable 

• Experience supporting or delivering digital fundraising campaigns. 

• Experience of fundraising in a small charity environment. 

• Experience of video editing for communications purposes. 

• Experience supporting events (online or in-person). 

• Experience managing or contributing to websites and social media for an organisation. 

• Familiarity with Gift Aid processes.

With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.

The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.

This role would suit an experienced, corporate and/or philanthropy fundraiser with well-developed relationship management skills. Someone who is excited by the opportunity of shaping, developing and elevating these important supporters for the charity.

Guts UK are open to applications from those looking to develop their expertise and will be fully supported, should they not have equal experience in corporate partnerships and philanthropy. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate experience across areas such as corporate prospecting, pitching and account management. 

Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.
