About the Project
This innovative new project will create opportunities for people who are often excluded from heritage and community spaces. Working in partnership with the National Trust at Aberdulais, the project will:

• Recruit, train and support new volunteers using our lived experience peer-led model
• Deliver community events and activities to engage local people and visitors
• Increase access to heritage and nature, improving wellbeing
• Build a more diverse and sustainable volunteer base to support the future of the site

About this key role

You will lead on community engagement and partnership development, helping to successfully deliver this 15-month project. You will build strong relationships with local stakeholders, support volunteer recruitment and development, and coordinate a range of activities and events.

Working closely with the Wales team, you will:

• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local organisations and stakeholders
• Support delivery of a lived experience heritage training programme
• Help recruit, support and develop volunteers
• Coordinate events, activities and community engagement initiatives
• Promote the project and support outreach and recruitment
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and reporting
• Support the development of a sustainability plan for the project

About the role:

ILPA is a charity and professional membership body working to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law. Our training programme is a core part of our work and one of our largest income streams. We deliver over 60 courses and conferences a year to an average of 2,000 practitioners across the UK, supporting lawyers, caseworkers, advisers and organisations working with migrants. 

The Training Manager will not directly teach any training content but will run this programme end to end, ensuring all trainings and events are delivered professionally, to a high standard. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, confidence with digital platforms and the ability to work with experienced external tutors. The post holder will shape the training calendar with support from the Training Advisory Board and maintain ILPA’s reputation for high-quality, practitioner-led training. 

Key Responsibilities 

Programme planning and development 

• Build and manage the annual and quarterly training schedule with a balance of advanced and introductory content across immigration, asylum and nationality law 

• Facilitate and support the Training Advisory Board to identify priorities and emerging issues 

• Respond to changes in immigration law with short notice trainings where appropriate

Tutor and content management 

• Contact, contract and manage ILPA’s panel of external tutors

About the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association

The Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) is a charity and a professional association the majority of whose members are barristers, solicitors, advocates and IAA (previously OISC) regulated advisers practising in all aspects of immigration, asylum and nationality law. Academics, non-governmental organisations and individuals with a substantial interest in the law are also members.

Founded in 1984 by leading practitioners in the field, ILPA exists to promote and improve advice and representation in immigration, asylum and nationality law, through an extensive programme of training and disseminating information and by providing research and opinion that draw on the experiences of members. The Role

About You

You are an experienced and confident leader with a strong track record in managing accommodation-based or refuge services.

• Have Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Housing, Management (or equivalent experience) plus evidence of continuous professional development
• Bring significant experience of services management within the domestic abuse or VAWG sector, including managing accommodation-based or refuge services

Funding Officer - FTC until March 2027

We are looking for a Funding Officer to cover areas across London; however the role may also include working across different areas of the patch. The role will join a passionate, vibrant and friendly team and be part of ensuring our funding supports a wide variety of communities and places locally. 

You’ll be part of the North and East London team, led by a Funding Manager, and comprised of 6 other Funding Officers, that sits within the wider team of London, South East and East. LSE & E is one of the largest teams in the Fund and distributes over £130m annually.

The team is committed to learning and impact, and the role offers a chance to gain insight into and learn from the fantastic work communities are doing on the ground and how this can be used to help others. As part of our funding team, you will assess applications for funding and manage grants from our Reaching Communities programme. By working closely with people and communities from a defined geographical area, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.

The role of Interim Head of Fundraising

This is an exciting interim (9-12 month) opportunity for a strategic and people focused leader to head up our Fundraising team and help drive meaningful change for people affected by digestive conditions.

This role is primarily focused on strengthening and scaling voluntary income and leading our fundraising team and activities.  The postholder will also shape the future fundraising operating model and support a smooth transition to a permanent fundraising lead.

​You’ll be responsible for leading our small and growing fundraising team delivering exceptional supporter care, ensuring high quality service and operational delivery.  With our Chief Executive, you'll develop and implement strategies to support fundraising growth, team performance, and supporter engagement and satisfaction.  You'll work collaboratively across the charity. 

This is a hands-on role suited to a highly experienced fundraising lead who enjoys working with a growing and developing charity.

Hours & Salary range
