About us 

Established in 2021, Opportunity Green is a fast-growing not-for-profit organisation that helps to identify and unlock opportunities to tackle climate change. We build ambitious coalitions, support climate vulnerable countries in international negotiations and find innovative legal pathways to fight climate change.

The Communications team currently includes four people who work across the full breadth of Opportunity Green’s work, making sure our messages are communicated clearly to the right audiences at the right time. We are now looking for a Digital and SEO Manager to develop and deliver Opportunity Green’s digital and SEO strategy, ensuring our online presence effectively reaches, engages and inspires audiences.

What’s the role? 

The Digital and SEO Manager will report to Opportunity Green’s Communications Director. By harnessing data-driven insights and optimising our digital platforms, the Digital and SEO Manager will strengthen our communications impact and support the organisation’s mission to fill the gaps that others miss on climate change. You will also support the Comms Director in managing the communications team and their team projects, including direct line management of a multimedia-focused team member.

This is a new role to OG and it comes at an exciting time, when we are about to launch our new website. You will play a pivotal part in helping our website content reach the right audiences, monitoring its performance and developing it even further. 

Our Communications team supports all the workstreams and projects at Opportunity Green, spanning aviation, shipping, steel, agriculture, strategic litigation, climate justice, company coalitions, external partnerships and The SASHA Coalition, which is facilitated by OG and has a separate online presence. You will therefore need to be a great collaborator who is used to multitasking, a quick thinker and able to respond to situations as they arise. As the only employee dedicated to digital, you will be a strategic thinker who can shape our approach to emerging digital trends, while also being comfortable implementing the ideas you develop.

About the candidate 

We are looking for a candidate with: 

• A passion for using their digital skills and SEO knowledge to tackle climate change.

• Proven expertise in digital analysis and insights, with a strong track record of producing data-driven reports and actionable recommendations across a range of platforms. 

• Demonstrated experience in SEO account management and web development project management. 

Desirable skills and experience: 

We do not expect any candidate to have all skills listed below but rather we look for transferable skills and potential as well as past experience. 

• Genuine passion for using digital skills to tackle climate change and commitment to Opportunity Green's mission and values.

• Advanced knowledge of digital performance tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Power BI, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and Mailchimp. 

• Experience of running ad campaigns in Google Ads. 

• Hands-on familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CMS platforms including Wordpress and SquareSpace, and ability to integrate new features and functionality. 

• Strategic and analytical thinker who is a natural problem solver. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Demonstrated experience of line management.

The successful candidate will be offered an annual salary of £50,000 plus 10% employer-contributed pension. Please note that Opportunity Green has fixed salary scales, with the possibility of step increases with strong performance. When hiring we always hire at the bottom of a band and do not enter negotiations with new employees as negotiations have been historically shown to disadvantage women and minorities.

The role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Database and Insights Officer to take ownership of myaware’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) and ensure our database is accurate, compliant, and fully utilised across the organisation.

This is a pivotal role, acting as the main point of contact for all internal CRM users and our external CRM system provider. As a database super user, you will manage system settings, user access, data integrity and development, while providing expert support, guidance and training to colleagues.

Working closely with the CEO, the myaware management team and colleagues across the organisation, you will ensure the CRM system supports fundraising, communications, campaigns and wider organisational insight. You will also play a key role in identifying opportunities for system improvement, upgrades and best practice. The role will require occasional working at Derby HQ and travel for meetings.

We are looking for a confident and detail-oriented CRM professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Beacon is seeking a creative, organised, and digitally savvy Digital Content Officer, whose role will focus on two main areas: delivering day-to-day communications and supporting digital projects.

At the heart of this role is driving engagement with Beacon’s events and projects, strengthening our community connections, and communicating our impact clearly and effectively. You will coordinate content across multiple channels - including social media, email, newsletters, and the Beacon website - and monitor the effectiveness of these communications. You will support The Resources Hub (our e-learning platform) by assisting with uploading, formatting, publishing, and updating content. As you grow in the role and depending on your skills and capacity, there may be opportunities to contribute to content development, coordinate volunteers and external partners, or assist with other digital projects, such as podcast production, video series, or multimedia content.

While the focus and direction of your work will stem from ongoing events, projects, and organisational priorities, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work and play a key role in driving communications forward. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

FLEXIBLE WORKING

We offer flexible working practices to support a healthy balance between personal and professional life, including hybrid working and flexible hours. Our hybrid working policy requires staff to be office-based for at least 50% of their working time.

Given the high level of cross-team collaboration involved in the Digital Content Officer role, regular in-person working is particularly important. About the role:

In this senior communications role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategic objectives, specifically through the implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our charitable objects and goals. Your responsibilities encompass brand development, research and content creation initiatives, managing our online presence and media relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy levels amongst people in prison? 

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Drake Hall. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.   

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.  

The role will be prison-based. Responsibilities:

• Lead the business performance of the home alongside the Registered Manager, delivering agreed income, occupancy, cost and surplus targets

This review will present options and make recommendations to our senior leadership to minimise bias and promote equitable practice. The Project Manager will then work with stakeholders across the organisation to develop an implementation plan for agreed measures.

In addition to this, there are other projects and initiatives that the Project Manager has the opportunity to support depending on their skills and experience. This might include, for example, developing and managing the Foundation’s outreach plan, shaping our approach to supporting Early Career Researchers from backgrounds under-represented in research careers, and actions that develop and sustain our relationships with the Black researcher community. 

As well as your experience of working in grant giving organisations, you will be a skilled project manager, with responsibility for scoping, planning, managing dependencies, risk assessment and budget. You will have a strategic view of the need to align and balance our activities to improve the fairness of our grants processes with other organisational priorities.

You will also have excellent stakeholder management skills, working with stakeholders from across the organisation (and at different levels of seniority) to ensure that appropriate collaboration and consultation have informed this review.

You will be familiar with other research funders and networks, be able to work proactively and independently, and be enthusiastic about how equity, diversity and inclusion can be embedded into all areas of your work.
