About the role

We are hiring for this role to expand our capacity to deliver our National Events for a fixed period. You will support a portfolio of successful national events. You will be involved in all aspects of the event cycle from marketing and participant recruitment to supporter stewardship and race day logistics. Full training will be provided to help you succeed in this role.

Responsibilities include:

· Deliver best-in-class stewardship (across phone, email, SMS and post) to ensure supporters have the best experience with Meningitis Research Foundation

· Deliver marketing and recruitment strategies to ensure we reach our targeted number of participants for each event

· Lead on a selection of national events – plan, deliver and evaluate these with the support of your line manager

· Inspire individuals with a connection to the cause to take on events for Meningitis Research Foundation to support our vision of a world free from meningitis

The Director of Finance will lead on all aspects of the Museum’s financial management, including producing monthly accounts and strengthening internal controls and processes. They will oversee treasury functions, including the management of the Museum’s cash holdings and endowments. Serve as Company Secretary, ensuring full compliance with Charity Commission requirements and the Companies Act.

As part of the Leadership Team, they work closely with our board of trustees to manage the Museum’s finances in line with the forward plan and wider Museum strategies.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare annual budgets, working with managers to achieve realistic targets and review figures throughout the year.
• Prepare monthly management accounts including cash-flow forecasts for presentation to the Director and Trustees.
• Prepare monthly management accounts to report and analyse any significant variance between actual and budget result.
• Prepare year-end draft accounts ready for audit and assist the audit team with any queries.
• Manage the Finance Team.
• Organise and oversee the daily and monthly accounting procedures in respect of banking, cash handling, data entry, bill payments etc.
• General financial and business management as well as co-ordination of Museum affairs including Investments, Banking, Legal, and Insurance, Contracts, Licence Agreements and other associated matters.
• Provide the accounting function for fundraising projects including Heritage Lottery, Arts Council, other grants and any other fund providers.
• Provide financial and textual information in support of major capital expenditure projects being an active and crucial team member.
• Preparing Month Gift Aid returns and Quarterly VAT returns and providing advice on VAT and Gift Aid or any other tax matters.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly Pension contributions to Scottish Widows.
• Provide statistical information and returns to various local and national bodies.

What you'll bring

Experience:

• Proven experience of leading a finance function at a senior level is essential, along with extensive experience shaping and delivering financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Experience of managing partial exemption VAT calculations and compliance is vital, along with a track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with auditors, regulators, trustees and external stakeholders.
• We would particularly welcome candidates with experience of working within the charity, not-for-profit, or a similarly regulated sector.

Knowledge & Skills

• You will be an excellent people manager, who has exceptional attention to detail and a robust understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Able to demonstrate strong initiative and accountability in delivering work to a high standard.
• Knowledge of restricted/unrestricted fund accounting and Gift Aid.
• You will have comprehensive knowledge of the full MS Suite, but will excel at Excel.
• Knowledge and experience of using Iplicit and Sage accounting and payroll is preferred.

RCJ Advice is an exceptional Citizens Advice and Law Centre delivering national legal advice services, both frontline and second tier, to people who are unable to afford legal representation and advice. We are based within the Royal Courts of Justice, the Central London Family Court and community sites across London, where we deliver local Citizens Advice services.

This post is a new role within RCJ Advice and forms part of the Improving Access to Justice for Domestic Abuse Survivors project. The three-year project aims to improve access to legal advice and support for domestic abuse survivors living in areas where legal aid services are limited.

The project will strengthen referral pathways, increase awareness of legal remedies and build sustainable links between domestic abuse organisations, frontline professionals and legal providers to ensure survivors can access appropriate legal support.

During the first year, the postholder will likely focus on developing the project in Suffolk. This will include mapping existing services, building relationships with domestic abuse organisations and frontline professionals, developing referral pathways and strengthening links with local legal providers.

In years two and three, the postholder will move the focus of the project to new legal aid deserts in England (we have a similar role in Wales) identified during the course of the project, developing new local networks, referral pathways and partnerships to improve access to legal advice and support for domestic abuse survivors in those areas.

Alongside this project development work, the postholder will provide specialist family law advice and support to domestic abuse survivors, including advice on protective remedies such as Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders and other family law matters including Domestic Abuse Protection Orders (DAPOs). This will include providing advice through appointments, telephone and email advice, and supporting survivors with CourtNav applications.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with experience of family law and domestic abuse work. They will have strong legal skills, experience of developing partnerships or services, and the ability to build trusted relationships with survivors, professionals and community organisations.

The postholder will work closely with colleagues across RCJ Advice, including the FLOWS team and Family team, sharing learning and contributing to wider organisational work supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

The role will require flexibility to travel across England, including occasional overnight stays, to support delivery of the service, partnership development and engagement activities.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an In-Memory Stewardship and Marketing Manager to lead our in-memory giving strategy, create outstanding supporter experiences, and grow income by inspiring legacy giving and maximising gifts in wills opportunities. 

This role is advertised as full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

The Role:

• Lead the development, implementation and embedding of the Woodland Trust's in-memory fundraising strategy.
• Drive growth in in-memory income, achieving strategic income and supporter acquisition targets.
• Design and deliver a gold-standard stewardship programme to strengthen supporter relationships and encourage future legacy giving.
• Collaborate with Communications to develop compelling messaging, storytelling and campaigns that raise awareness of in-memory giving.
• Build and manage relationships with key in-memory supporters, providing personalised stewardship.
• Maximise legacy giving opportunities by promoting gifts in wills and integrating legacy fundraising into supporter journeys.
• Work cross-organisationally to develop innovative in-memory products, including launching new tribute fund initiatives with external partners.
• Use insight, benchmarking and performance reporting to identify trends, evaluate success and inform future development.
• This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average (Possibly more in the first 6 months). Occasional travel to other offices and remote locations may also be required.

The Candidate:

• Demonstrable experience in in-memory giving and legacy giving.
• A background working within the charity sector.
• Proven success in building and stewarding stakeholder relationships.
• A track record of delivering complex, cross-team projects collaboratively.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
• Confidence using CRM systems, with experience of Dynamics 365 being desirable.
• Sound knowledge of project management, including coordinating multiple workstreams.

We are looking for a proactive and organised Administrative Support Officer to help keep MaidEnergy running smoothly. This is a varied, hands-on role covering day-to-day administration, communications, finance and governance support, and IT coordination. You will work closely with our Project Coordinators and Directors, and your contribution will be central to the organisation’s effectiveness. 

MaidEnergy is a community-owned renewable energy co-operative working across Maidenhead, Windsor, Egham, Staines, and the surrounding area. Founded in 2010, our mission is to cut carbon emissions and enable community ownership of locally generated renewable energy. 

Since our first solar installation in 2015, our 250+ members have invested over £900,000, funding seven solar PV installations and one ground source heat pump, saving 605 tonnes of CO2, and supplying 2,448 MWh of clean energy to local schools, leisure centres, and community hubs. 

We are a Community Benefit Society, which means we are democratically run with an asset lock to preserve our energy infrastructure for the benefit of the community. Profits are reinvested into new projects and community action. We are part of a growing national movement putting energy in the hands of communities. 

The role is largely self-directed. You will be trusted to manage your own time and priorities, with guidance from and coordination with the team as needed. 

For the right candidate, there is scope to grow beyond the core admin function. We are open to someone who wants to get involved in project-specific and strategic work, or to serve as an extra pair of eyes on work produced by the project coordinators. This is not a requirement of the role, but an opportunity we would welcome. 

To provide support to the small Finance and Administration team at Heart Research UK.

The role is office based and for 22.5 hours per week, with working pattern to be agreed but must include Friday morning.  

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

· Assist the team in maintaining accounting records for both the Charity and the Trading Company

· Purchase Invoices – obtain relevant authorisation, code and process invoices onto Xero, produce and send remittance slips

· Process staff expenses onto Xero

· Create and upload payments on bank account

· Process all credit card transactions onto Xero

· Process expenses

· Arrange set up of new standing orders, direct debits and other regular payments

· Input any other income or expenditure onto bank as required

· To assist in uploading regular donations to Beacon

· Create sales invoices as required and maintain sales ledger 

· Credit control – periodic review outstanding balances and chase overdue amounts

· Undertake general administration tasks including call handling, sending out mail and issuing temporary parking passes.

· Cover reception area in the absence of receptionist

· Undertake any other appropriate duties as requested

About the role: AMRC is looking for a policy officer to join our small but highly influential policy and public affairs team, working at the heart of the medical research community. You will support our influencing and advocacy work, helping build a thriving research environment that facilitates innovation. We work with government and policy makers to ensure that our charities can invest in a healthy and sustainable research system across universities and the NHS. You will undertake analysis and horizon scanning to enable us to keep our members up-to-date, and you will support the development of AMRC’s policy activity. Support & Impact Manager

12 month fixed-term contract - Must be available to start October 2026.

£40,000 - £46,000 per annum dependant on relevant skills and experience.

Location – Home-based with regular travel across a designated region and to our office as required.
