Summer Program Director

Contract: November 2026 - September 2027
Salary: Grade 7 on the support staff scales, £45,934 - 48,732 depending on experience
Overall purpose
To have overall responsibility for the successful planning and delivery of the ASL Summer Program. The selected candidate will be accountable for designing, budgeting, recruiting, promoting and supervising the day-to-day operations of the program, providing a safe, enjoyable, and age-appropriate experience for campers that is culturally aligned and similar to the day program at ASL. This leadership position is charged with the long-term objective of evolving and changing the program to improve offerings, and experiences and ensure sustainable financial performance.
Responsibilities
Program oversight
Work with school administration to set strategy and goals for the summer program, in alignment with the overall goals of the school
Develop and monitor budgets and KPIs
Design and create the program of offerings (before the portal opens in March)
Actively enhance and grow all aspects of the summer program
Create or enhance program policies and procedures
Conduct a post-summer debrief, incorporating surveys, performance data analysis and a report to management
People
Ensure appropriate staffing for all programs, including the recruitment and ongoing management of staff
Hire and schedule teachers, coaches, assistants, and counsellors with the assistance of the Canons Park Manager (s) and other team members.
Ensure counsellors are interviewed, trained and supported to work in the program.
Hire supporting staff when needed.
Support HR to ensure all summer program hires are correctly DBS checked and complete necessary training materials before starting work.
Planning / Operations
Conduct advance planning for all aspects of the program during the school year
Coordinate between various departments to ensure the summer program and facilities are adequately prepared
Work with the Transport Manager to ensure appropriate busing is arranged for offerings. Also, manage buses during the summer weeks..
Supervise the morning drop-off and collections during the summer weeks.
Support the Canons Park Manager and other program leads with any challenging parent communications or interactions during the summer weeks.
Support the coordinator(s) with any issues related to parent registrations or refunds.
Respond to messages from the summer email inbox from December.
Supervise the careful release of campers by counsellors, coaches and teachers to their parents at Waverley Park.
Manage any possible parent complaints, including but not limited to refunds, camp swapping etc
Manage and support any child safeguarding concerns that may arise during the summer.
Work with the Facilities Manager to organize room locations and spaces
Other
Update and test the employment pages and forms, the summer web pages, and the Veracross portal listings.
Manage and confirm the weekly payroll and submit it for processing.
Work with the Accounts department on payroll, purchasing (Soldo cards), budgeting and abiding by the ASL financial procedures.
Work with the Advancement department (ASL communications/website team) to set up / update the webpage and advertise the programs internally and externally through school announcements, emails and local magazines

RCJ Advice is an exceptional Citizens Advice and Law Centre delivering national legal advice services, both frontline and second tier, to people who are unable to afford legal representation and advice. We are based within the Royal Courts of Justice, the Central London Family Court and community sites across London, where we deliver local Citizens Advice services.
This post is a new role within our Miscarriage of Justice Support Service, the only national service in England and Wales providing specialist support to people affected by miscarriages of justice. Our role is to support individuals whose criminal convictions have been quashed by the Court of Appeal. Many clients have spent many years, and sometimes decades, in prison before their convictions were overturned. As a result, many experience complex trauma, institutionalisation and significant challenges associated with release and reintegration.
Our work is grounded in the belief that those affected by miscarriages of justice deserve not only to have their convictions overturned, but to be supported with dignity, continuity, and recognition as they rebuild their lives. We offer long-term, person-centred, trauma-informed support tailored to the needs of each individual.
Working alongside the two MJSS Caseworkers, the specialist Mental Health Nurse will provide mental health assessments, psycho-social support and interventions to people affected by a serious miscarriages of justice.
The role includes support planning, delivery of interventions within professional competence, facilitating access to appropriate services, liaison with health and social care providers, and supporting individuals through key stages of their journey, including whilst waiting on their appeal to be heard (whilst still in prison), possible release from custody and community reintegration. The focus will be on MJSS clients but may expand to their family members or other close relations who can also be deeply affected by the client’s incarceration and subsequent release.
The two Caseworkers are based at our offices within the Royal Courts of Justice in London. The team meet clients in person initially, to build a relationship, which will involve travel across England and Wales. Once a relationship has been established, typically we then communicate via telephone and online, but people may still need in-person support e.g. attending appointments with them.
Ideally the post-holder would come into the office at least several times a month to build and maintain an excellent working relationship with the Caseworkers, giving the option to work at other times from home or to travel. Travel for this role will vary according to the needs of each client, but we expect this to be round once a fortnight. All travel expenses will be paid by RCJ Advice.

You will manage a caseload of female survivors within the National Referral Mechanism, advocating on their behalf to ensure access to ECAT rights and supporting them to navigate complex systems. Your role includes conducting regular safeguarding risk assessments, maintaining detailed case records, and responding promptly to incidents or urgent issues to protect residents' safety and wellbeing. You will carry out daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks to ensure the accommodation remains secure, while also covering other safe houses as needed and supporting new staff members. Your responsibilities extend to liaising confidently with public and private services, writing official correspondence to agencies such as the Home Office, and keeping up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and child welfare considerations. Additionally, you will participate in team meetings, supervisions, clinical support sessions, and mandatory training, all while working to help survivors maintain positive and safe relationships with their children.

JOB PURPOSE
To assist the Programmes & Funding Manager in coordinating the day-to-day delivery of AdviceUK's funded programmes. The role will keep projects running smoothly, maintain accurate monitoring data, and be a reliable first point of contact for members and delivery partners. We are seeking a dynamic senior campaigns and communications officer to drive our public impact. You will lead communications for our high-profile FairChecks campaign for criminal records reform, coordinate our popular podcast, and elevate the digital presence of Transform Justice. This is a multi-faceted role combining grassroots movement-building, digital marketing, and creative content production.
The role is home-based and you will use your own equipment, so you will need to be able to work on your own with little day-to-day supervision.
