Job description

This is a fixed term contract of 3 months, for 21 hours per week.

The Supported Housing Service Manager is responsible for leading and managing supported housing services, ensuring high-quality, safe, and person-centred support for residents with diverse needs, including mental health, young people, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing both strategic oversight and operational management to ensure services are compliant, effective, and aligned with organisational objectives and contractual requirements.
  • Embedding trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches across services, enabling residents to develop independence, improve wellbeing, and achieve goals in employment, training, education, and life skills.
  • Leading service performance, development, and growth while maintaining strong relationships with commissioners, landlords, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and delivery of positive outcomes for residents.

The Services

Service 1 - Mental health supported housing service: Adults living with moderate to severe mental health conditions, many of whom have experienced trauma, social exclusion, homelessness, substance misuse or other complex needs. Some residents may present with behaviours associated with their mental health, including heightened anxiety, emotional dysregulation, suicidal ideation, self-neglect or periods of crisis. The successful candidate must be comfortable working within these settings.

Service 2 - LGBTQ+ supported housing service. We provide both shared and self-contained accommodation, commissioned by LB Haringey, offering housing and tailored support to LGBTQI+ adults aged 25 and over.
This service supports individuals who may face challenges within mainstream homelessness provision due to their sexual orientation or gender identity, as well as those who have expressed a preference to live within an LGBTQI+-specific environment.
