In September 2025 we launched an ambitious five-year strategy ‘From Neighborhood to National’ to confront the deep-rooted inequities facing children and young people. This is an exciting moment of organisational growth at The Fair Education Alliance. This role is central to that investment. You will be joining a small, highly capable operations team and playing a pivotal role in how FEA runs day-to-day as it grows. The Operations Officer plays a central role in ensuring that the Fair Education Alliance runs smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard across all aspects of its work. Working as part of the operations team, the postholder helps maintain the systems, processes and practical foundations that enable the organisation to function effectively.
This includes supporting people operations and HR administration, coordinating governance processes, managing organisational systems and IT access, and delivering high-quality logistics for events and organisational activities.
Acting as a trusted point of support for colleagues, the Operations Officer helps create a responsive and well-organised working environment where staff, trustees and members feel enabled to do their best work. The role requires exceptional organisation, sound judgement and a genuine pride in quality.
By ensuring that the practical aspects of the organisation run reliably and well, the Operations Officer helps create the conditions that allow the Fair Education Alliance to deliver its mission and drive progress towards a fairer education system.

Key Responsibilities
Complaints and Challenge Management
- Lead the end-to-end management of all client complaints, overseeing first-stage advice service resolutions and directly managing escalated complaints, while contributing regulatory insight to team discussions on MHCBS and Regulation 17 creditor challenges.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and fair resolution in accordance with FCA and MaPS complaint-handling procedures.
- Act as the organisational escalation point for complex or high-risk advice-related complaints, including cases involving direct client or creditor challenges under MHCBS and Regulation 17
- Liaise with external stakeholders, creditors, and partners to resolve disputes and maintain strong working relationships.

Quality and Compliance Oversight

- A minimum of two years’ full time (2,220 hours) or equivalent part-time experience of delivering debt advice
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of advice areas, with particular expertise in FCA regulations, MaPS quality frameworks, and the Mental Health Crisis Breathing Space Regulation
- Significant experience managing complaints and quality processes within a regulated advice

The Manager, International Philanthropy is part of the International Philanthropy team which focuses on raising gifts from individuals based outside of the U.S. and will support the activities of the team in managing donor accounts and coordinating day to day activities of the Senior Director and Director as required.
Major Responsibilities
• Collaborate with frontline fundraisers to implement strategies for high-net-worth individual donors and prospects within donor portfolios, bringing in critical revenue for the organization
• Draft and edit donor-facing communications, including letters, emails, contact reports, and tailored correspondence supporting donor engagement.
• Coordinate with internal teams to develop high-quality concept notes, proposals, presentations, and reports, managing drafts through final approval and formatting.
• Prepare agendas, briefings, and materials for donor meetings, prospect conversations, and internal strategy discussions.
• With fundraisers, act as the liaison between donors or prospects and field staff, ensuring both parties receive the most critical information and that it is communicated clearly and strategically reflective of its audience.
• Collaborate closely with Prospect Research and Management teams as well as Analytics and operations staff to co-lead and track the entire donor cycle.
• Support the planning and delivery of stewardship and cultivation events for international high-net-worth donors.
• Update the donor database (Salesforce) to maintain portfolio assignments, draft and update giving proposals, request prospect research, monitor report requirements and submissions, track ongoing donor communication and activity as well as additional relationship management duties.
• Support payment processing and ensure documentation complies with IRC and donor requirements.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Officer to lead a strategic approach to Net Zero fundraising across six dioceses: Worcester, Hereford, Gloucester, Birmingham, Coventry, and Lichfield.

The role
The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring Action Together remains financially robust, sustainable, and compliant as a charity and employer.
