2. Purpose of the Role

The HR and Admin Officer provide human resources and administrative support to ensure that project staffing, records, contractual documentation, scheduling, and general office administration are managed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policy and project requirements.

4. Scope of Work and Key Responsibilities

     Human Resources administration

• Support recruitment processes, including vacancy logistics, interview scheduling, reference collection, and contract preparation for approved roles.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date personnel files for project staff and consultants, including contracts, IDs, onboarding forms, performance records, and leave documentation.
• Support staff induction processes and ensure that policies, reporting lines, code of conduct requirements, and key administrative procedures are clearly communicated.
• Track attendance, leave, contract dates, renewal points, and other HR actions and raise reminders in advance.

   Administrative Support

• Provide administrative support for meetings, travel arrangements, calendars, document circulation, filing systems, and internal correspondence.
• Maintain project contact lists, mailing groups, organisational charts, and administrative trackers.
• Ensure that project documents requiring signatures, approvals, or controlled circulation are processed efficiently and stored appropriately.

  Policy Compliance & Staff Support

• Support consistent application of HR policies, confidentiality standards, and personnel administration procedures.
• Act as a point of contact for routine HR and administrative queries and route sensitive issues to management appropriately.

5. Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, management, Social Sciences, Humanities, or related field 
• At least 5 years of relevant HR & administrative experience, preferable In NGOs sector.
• Good understanding of HR documentation, personal administration, and ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.

Role Description

The Family Matters team provides emotional support, information, and guidance to the families (e.g. partners, parents, adult children, grandparents) of those under investigation for online child sexual abuse offences.

They are often the hidden victims of crime, facing multiple problems and isolated from sources of help and support. This role provides one to one support to family members over the phone, supporting clients with attending Court hearings, liaising with relevant professionals, and advocating for clients where necessary. 

Responsibilities:

• To work as a member of the Family Matters Team to deliver outcomes for the Family Matters Programme as agreed with The National Lottery Community Fund.
• To provide information and Trauma informed support at a time of crisis to service users.
• To manage a caseload of complex adult client cases, providing client centred, practical and emotional support.
• To conduct risk assessments / case management.
• To offer information and support to family members regarding the Criminal Justice process during investigation, court hearings, sentencing and beyond.
• To help family members remain informed regarding Child in Need and Child Protection processes.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Experience in direct support work with victims or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support.

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy & In Memory Officer to join our Fundraising team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in delivering legacy and/or in-memory campaigns and working in a fundraising environment.

The purpose of this role is to manage and grow the legacy fundraising and in-memory giving programmes. This will involve providing exceptional stewardship to supporters to build long-term engagement, managing legacy and in-memory campaigns to reach agreed objectives and building relationships with local solicitors and funeral directors alongside other stakeholders.

Working with the Public Fundraising Manager, the post holder will deliver a strategy to increase income, develop relationships and effectively deliver in-memory events and campaigns.

We’re looking for an Outreach Housing Support Worker to join our team and provide high‑quality housing advice and support to young people aged 18–24.

This is a flexible role that responds to the needs of young people in the community, helping them navigate housing challenges and avoid or move on from homelessness.

In this role, you’ll deliver tailored housing advice that helps young people understand their realistic options and take positive steps forward—particularly during times of crisis.

You’ll play a key role in preventing both first-time and repeat homelessness by building strong relationships and supporting meaningful engagement.

The young people we work with are resilient and inspiring, but may face complex barriers with limited support. We’re looking for someone who brings empathy, patience and determination, and who is committed to helping others grow in confidence and independence.

 What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll have a varied and rewarding role, including:

• Delivering high-quality housing advice and guidance to young people aged 18–24
• Supporting individuals to understand their housing rights, options and responsibilities

About the Role

The role involves managing a one-to-one client caseload while contributing to the delivery of Social Support Groups. The Social Support service provides tailored, personalised support based on each individual needs.  This includes using a range of tools and techniques to help people improve areas of their life they may be struggling with.  Grounded in the values of Hope, Courage, Togetherness and Responsiveness, the service aims to empower individuals on their journey towards improved wellbeing.

As a Peer Support Worker you will:

• Offer 1-1 support in St Albans, Hatfield and Stevenage, and within other HMN Wellbeing Centres across the County depending on client need and waiting lists
• Deliver Social Support Groups within our Wellbeing Centres
• Work with clients to identify their individual needs and support them through a personalised, person-centred approach
• Support clients in a variety of settings, including within the community, their home, and our Wellbeing Centres
• Play an integral role in embedding HMN’s values through our 1-1 and group support
• Play a key part in the development and delivery of our groups
• Ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality, responsive service that promotes wellbeing and positive outcomes for clients

The successful candidate will have significant proven knowledge of models and services to meet the needs of adults with mental health needs and of delivering mental health services within a health and social care setting as well as an understanding of the relationship between mental health and social issues and how these issues may impact on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
