Barnet Mencap is a charity based in Finchley supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people across Barnet. Through our Bright Futures Employment Programme, we support individuals into meaningful employment, training, and long-term independence.

We are looking for a motivated and outcome-focused Employment Officer to join our team.

This role is centred on supporting individuals into sustained employment, managing a caseload of learners, and working directly with employers to create real opportunities.

The Role

• Manage a caseload of learners and support them into work
• Deliver 1:1 employability support and job club sessions
• Support CV writing, applications, and interview preparation
• Build relationships with employers and identify opportunities
• Support individuals in the workplace where needed

About the role

We’re looking for a senior digital marketing manager – email to jointly lead our team as part of a job share to deliver high performing email campaigns and automations to support the charity’s activity. Working closely together with the other senior digital marketing manager – email, you’ll work across large email projects and campaigns, support the team’s workload and priorities, and create processes to best support their success.

The Fellowship and Administration Officer is the main point of contact for Society Fellows, applicants and general enquiries. They administer and update records in the Society’s CRM database and undertake financial and general office administration. They also support the delivery of the Society’s annual programme of in-person, online and hybrid events.

Main Responsibilities

• Acts as the main point of contact for Society Fellows, prospective Fellows and general enquiries by telephone, email, letters and in person
• Assists with application, Fellowship and subscription queries and Fellowship applications and sends welcome packs to new Fellows
• Administers and updates database records and provides reports from the database (for example, mailing lists for sending biannual newsletters and other printed items to Fellows)
• Assists the Finance Manager with financial administration relating to Fellowship, including standing orders, credit notes, direct debits and Gift Aid, renewals and various mailings

The Chief Executive & Creative Director holds the most senior post at Dance City, unites the creative and strategic functions of the organisation, and is accountable to the board of trustees for the good management and impact of the charity. The Chief Executive & Creative Director leads and works collaboratively with the board, senior management team (SMT) and stakeholders and partners to ensure that Dance City creates opportunities for people to create, produce and experience dance at its very best. The Chief Executive & Creative Director drives the business, identifying commercial opportunities, securing financial resilience, and ensuring that Dance City’s programme is at the vanguard of sustainable dance development in the region. The Chief Executive & Creative Director is based in the northeast and plays an active role in the social life and cultural communities of the region.

Healthwatch Barnsley (hosted by Barnsley CVS), is going through an exciting redesign to enable community voices to have even greater impact on the current strategies and developments in Barnsley.  The Community Engagement Officer role is an impactful and rewarding opportunity to join the Healthwatch Barnsley Team as we navigate upcoming changes introduced through the new NHS 10 Year Plan and the forthcoming Health Bill.  This role will ensure that the voices of Barnsley residents remain central as we work towards building a health and social care system that is fit for the future.

Events and Communications Officer

• Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings for our community development work across Hull and East Riding

• Support the development of new activities with our community in Hull and East Riding, by establishing contact with other organisations and individuals in the area

• Promote and market activities in local areas to ensure our community are aware of all the offers available to support them

• Engage directly and attend meetings of groups, branches, cafes, physical activity programmes in Hull and East Riding to ensure they are delivered effectively and we meet the needs of those people delivering and attending them

What you’ll bring:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate when required at all levels internally and externally

• Excellent administration and support skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities 

• Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously that meet business requirements 

• Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders 

• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively
