Brief Outline of Job:

Scholarships: Support the development of and delivery of our scholarship fundraising strategy, including producing promotional materials and annual donor reports. Liaise with colleagues across the University to ensure effective scholarship delivery and reporting.
Legacy Giving: Lead the development of a new legacy stewardship strategy, including the introduction of a new giving circle for legacy pledgers, conducting face-to-face meetings with potential legacy donors and creating promotional content and opportunities.
Alumni Fund: Contributing to Giving Day and Alumni Fund Board activities. Support mass donor communications and stewardship initiatives.
Team Leadership: Line management of the Development Assistant and deputising for the Individual Giving Manager when required.

We are recruiting for three fixed-term User Research Officer roles for our Digital Team. Two 23-month contracts and one 12-month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to join The National Lottery Community Fund, and develop your skills as a User Research Officer within a multi-disciplinary team.
You’ll conduct user research to help us understand the needs of both the people who apply for our funding, and our colleagues who manage that funding. Your insights will inform the design of new systems and improvement of existing ones, ensuring that we make changes based on real user needs.
Working within our Digital Team, you’ll also have opportunities to collaborate with and learn from a thriving group of designers and researchers who love sharing knowledge and experience. We’ll offer you support to develop your research and design skills, and opportunities to take part in training and communities of practice.
You’ll need some practical experience of qualitative research methods, and of designing and running research. This could be from working in user research or user experience design. But we’d also welcome applications from people with similar experience from professional work, academic work, or study in fields like:

- psychology

The responsibilities of the job include:
- Designing and running user research to help us improve our existing digital services and design new ones.
- Recruiting participants for research.

We are excited to be hiring for this role, which will be transformational for the organisation, allowing us to develop our approach to financial and operational matters and support the continued growth of our team and impact. The role will act as second in command and will deputise for the CEO when absent. We are therefore looking for a highly capable and experienced finance and operations leader with the vision to ensure that we continue to grow in a sustainable, effective and efficient way.
We currently have a full-time manager and officer in our Finance and Operations team (F&O Team), which the CFOO will be joining to oversee, develop and guide all relevant functions. With the small size of the team at this time, the CFOO will be expected to jump into the detail in some areas. In the short term this will include delivering some of the more complex areas of the F&O team’s work, such as the audit process, multi-year financial planning and legal compliance, with support from other team members and external advisers as appropriate. If we continue to succeed in delivering our growth strategy, the role will progress over the medium term with increasing team size/supervisory duties and reducing involvement in immediate implementation. Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church. We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for Immingham and the South Humber Ports to support seafarers, fishers and their families.
In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.
About the role
No two days are the same. You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.
You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities. You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.

- Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.

General Overview
FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
The aim of the Interpersonal Trauma Response Service is to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of people who have been exposed to trauma arising from sexual violence and abuse and/or domestic abuse.
You will work across a specified number of GP practices across South Devon, to offer support to health professionals working in practices, people who have experience of interpersonal trauma arising from sexual violence and abuse and/or domestic abuse, as well as a service for people at risk of perpetrating abuse.
You and the team will provide training to GP surgeries to improve identification, enquiry, and response for patients. You and your team will also support adults and children who have been impacted by interpersonal trauma with emotional and practical support, focusing on trauma stabilisation. The team will be responsible for facilitating timely access to further appropriate support services where needed.
FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based with requiring travel to GP practices and for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables. Occasional travel to the FearFree office in Exeter and other locations will also be required.
This role may include evening and weekend work when required.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide specialist, individual and needs-led domestic abuse and sexual violence advocacy and support to patients who are or have experienced, who are referred from participating practices or self-refer, and to provide onward referrals where appropriate.
- Provide direct assessment, casework support, advice, information, and advocacy through telephone contact, and/or meetings at the relevant practice.
- Provide support to increase people’s personal safety, and that of any children, and inform them of their rights and options in terms of housing, legal and welfare rights.
- To provide signposting and onward referrals to patients.
- To provide ongoing specialist advice and support around Domestic Abuse (DA) and Sexual Violence (SV) to practice teams.
- To encourage general practice health professionals to ask patients about their experience of abuse and respond, record, safety check and refer.
- To provide feedback on case outcomes to referring clinicians.
- To collect and collate performance and monitoring data for reporting purposes.
- Provide in-house training and refresher training for general practice teams on understanding, recognising, and responding to DA and SV.
- Develop good working relationships and liaise with outside agencies where needed.
- Keep accurate records of all referrals received and of work done with or on behalf of service users.
- Deliver DA and SV training to clinicians and non-clinical staff in participating general practices.
- Develop a good relationship with all general practice staff and work effectively as part of the practice team.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the programme collecting required data and producing written reports as requested.

Grosvenor Chapel is a Chapel of Ease in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St George’s Hanover Square.
Located on South Audley Street in the heart of what is fondly referred to as the ‘Village of Mayfair’, the Chapel has been serving the community of Mayfair and beyond for almost three hundred years.
Over the last three years the Chapel has been going through a period of transition, renewal and growth. We currently have a modest annual income, which comes from regular giving, occasional donations, and the hiring out of our Chapel rooms and car bays, and are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to help with the day-to-day management of the Chapel’s finances.
Whilst some tasks are covered by existing staff, the Finance Officer will have responsibility for overseeing the Chapel’s accounting processes, monitoring income and expenditure, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, overseeing service cash collections and banking, completing the monthly reconciliations and preparation of financial reports, helping with any VAT and quarterly gift aid returns. The role will also be required to support the annual budgeting process, year-end audit and preparation of statutory accounts.
Most of the work will be expected to be completed remotely, with attendance in person on site at least once a month for meetings and other activities.

- Salary: £30,000 pro rata
- Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days), ideally Wednesday and Thursday
- Strong possibility of increasing to 21 hours (3 days) in future

Key responsibilities
Fundraising and donor management
- Research, develop and submit fundraising proposals to trusts, foundations and major donors
- Maintain accurate fundraising trackers for applications and reporting deadlines
- Coordinate partner inputs for monitoring and donor reports
- Support the Executive Director with fundraising and reporting to trusts and individuals
Events
- Plan and manage Action Village India events across the year
- Attend fundraising events (including evenings and weekends, as agreed)
- Attend WOMAD festival and support delivery of Action Village India’s stall and presence
Individual giving
- Plan and deliver regular appeals and supporter communications
- Develop new ways to engage supporters and grow individual giving income
- Build strong supporter journeys to retain and deepen engagement
Communications and development
- Create compelling fundraising and supporter communications
- Contribute to newsletters, annual reports and appeals
- Coordinate content for events and exhibitions, including WOMAD
- Work with partners to generate stories, updates and visual content
- Manage organisational content such as leaflets, webpages and reports
- Work closely with the Communications and Administrative Officer on social media and CRM content
Person specification
Essential experience
- Minimum three years’ experience in fundraising (trusts and foundations, events and individual giving)
- Proven success securing funding from UK trusts and foundations
- Strong proposal and report writing skills
- Experience co-organising fundraising events
Knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of UK trusts, foundations and institutional funders
- Understanding of the international development and solidarity sector
- Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection and the Fundraising Code of Practice
- Excellent written communication skills for diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Excel
Personal qualities
- Passion for social justice and supporting marginalised communities in India
- Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working independently in a small team
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural relationship-building skills
Desirable
- Experience working with NGOs, particularly in Asia and India
- International development experience

Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church. We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for the East Englia Ports to support seafarers, fishers and their families.
In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.
About the role
No two days are the same. You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.
You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities. You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.
- Provide practical help such as transport, communication access, and emergency or crisis support.
- Offer spiritual care to Catholic seafarers and facilitate the religious needs of those from other faiths.
- Recruit, train and support Stella Maris volunteers.
- Work collaboratively with other maritime charities.
- Maintain strong relationships with local parishes, the Diocese of East Anglia, and port stakeholders such as the Harbour Master, shipping agents and welfare committees.
- Support local fundraising and awareness initiatives alongside the charity's national team.
About you
You'll be someone who takes joy in helping others. You don't need maritime experiences, what matters most is your empathy and ability to offer pastoral support in practical ways.
You may come from a background in chaplaincy, parish ministry, community work or social care. You'll share our commitment to upholding the dignity of every seafarer and fisher.
