Hillside Clubhouse is a coproduced mental health charity based in Islington that works collaboratively with people with mental health conditions across Islington. We work with people wherever they are in their Recovery journey, supporting those with long-term and enduring conditions such as personality disorder and schizophrenia and people with more common mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. 

We aim to maximise our members' (service users) opportunities by enabling them to grow in confidence and develop skills to support them to access employment, education, training and volunteering. Our ethos is one of co-production and partnership; everything we do is led by our members. 

We are seeking someone who is passionate about mental health and eager to support the growth of our recovery team. This role involves working directly with members both one-on-one and through group sessions.

As a Recovery Worker, you will divide your time between individual casework and facilitating group activities.

Your role

As a Senior Legacy Engagement Manager – Stewardship and Blended Giving, you will focus on:

• Inspiring and managing the team, working in partnership with the other Senior Legacy Engagement Manager, to deliver a world-class stewardship programme for legacy supporter
• Leading the development of a more structured, insight-led stewardship approach, ensuring clarity on when a personalised, relationship-led approach adds the most value
• Supporting and guiding Legacy Engagement Managers to prioritise and build relationships with supporters most likely to leave significant gifts
• Driving a more proactive approach to identifying and engaging high-value legacy supporters, moving beyond passive acquisition routes
• Playing a key role in developing our Blended Giving approach, working closely with the Philanthropy team to connect legacy and major giving opportunities
• Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to deliver a seamless, supporter-centric experience that secures and grows long-term income
• Using insight and data to continuously evaluate and improve our stewardship approach, identifying opportunities to enhance supporter experience and value

About you

As an experienced fundraising or engagement leader, you’ll be comfortable building meaningful relationships with supporters, working collaboratively across teams and inspiring others to deliver excellent stewardship.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

• Strong leadership experience, including managing and motivating a geographically dispersed team and driving performance
• Demonstrable experience in managing high-value relationships, including stewardship of major donors or legacy pledgers
• Experience of developing and delivering personalised engagement approaches that drive long-term value
• Proven ability to use insight and data to inform decision-making and prioritisation
• Experience of working across teams to deliver integrated approaches, ideally including exposure to both legacy and major giving
• Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and drive change in a complex organisation
• Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate strategy into clear, practical delivery
• A valid driving licence

The Role

The Witness Service provides free, independent support to any witness giving evidence in criminal courts in England and Wales, both for the prosecution and the defence. The trained staff and volunteers help people understand what to expect before, during and after a trial, and offer practical and emotional support every step of the way, so witnesses can give their best evidence. The Witness Service also supports bereaved family members, friends and family who are accompanying witnesses in court.

The postholder leads Clinical Housekeeping and Ward Volunteers while coordinating clinical equipment, consumables, shared spaces and patient-facing hospitality areas to maintain regulatory readiness, infection prevention standards and service continuity.

The Clinical Facilities Coordinator also ensures that the Hospice’s built environment actively enhances patient experience, enabling clinical teams to deliver care without environmental or equipment-related delays.

Background

Buckinghamshire has a fast-growing older population who are the heart and soul of our communities – for example as employers, workers, volunteers, mentors, carers and child-minders. They help make our worlds go round. But when the challenges of older age feel overwhelming, and someone’s own world shrinks, Age UK Bucks is there to support them. Based in Aylesbury and working across the county, our services support older residents to maintain their independence and well-being, especially when times are difficult, helping local older people age batter and access support they deserve.

Job purpose
Lead services and teams that support, champion and empower older Bucks residents to meet the many challenges and opportunities of ageing, through charitable services that have high impact and that are sustainably funded, working with all communities in Bucks and through partner collaboration.

The role

Will oversee the development and delivery of high quality, person-centred, compassionate and effective support and services for older people across Bucks that has demonstrable impact and quality - building community connection and championing older people’s needs and opportunities. Job Purpose:

The Head of Operations at Skillway oversees all operational aspects of this arm of the charity, ensuring the successful delivery of all our educational programmes. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and day-to-day management, including student recruitment and retention, staff oversight, fundraising, and partnership management. Key Responsibilities:

1.  Management and Delivery

• Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training in woodwork, metalwork and other crafts.

6.  Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.  
 
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 
 
This role is a fixed term role until 31st March 2027 with the opportunity to be made permanent subject to contract renewal.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, passionate charity dedicated to caring for the Chilterns – protecting its natural beauty, cultural heritage and environmental sustainability.

Following an internal promotion, this role will play a key part in delivering the organisation’s new strategic plans. You will help grow and diversify the supporter base through creative and impactful digital communications, alongside coordinating a varied programme of public events, including the annual Heritage Festival.

You will be responsible for creating engaging content across digital channels, managing and developing the organisation’s website and CRM systems, and supporting the delivery and promotion of events. Working closely with colleagues, volunteers and stakeholders, you will ensure communications are timely, relevant and inspiring, encouraging more people to connect with and take action for the Chilterns.

This role is ideal for someone creative, organised and proactive, with a passion for nature and strong digital skills. You will enjoy working across multiple projects, building relationships and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

The Organisation: YCS (Cwmni Siarad) was originally set up in 2011 to improve access to and meet the needs of groups traditionally under-represented in taking up psychological therapies, through the provision of accessible, evidence-based therapies and other support.   It has been mainly run by volunteers but is now progressing widening its services to provide facilities for private and contractual counselling support.  Any profits from its activities is used to subsidise the provision of counselling support to individuals who have difficulty accessing counselling services for a variety of reasons.  Apart from the delivery of face-to-face counselling in South East Wales, the organisation provides on-line counselling services throughout Wales.    

Job Purpose: To lead, manage and develop YCS Counselling services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible and ethical counselling provision. The postholder will support the safe and effective practice of student and volunteer counsellors, overseeing both the client journey and the placement experience to ensure positive outcomes for clients and a supportive, structured development environment for counsellors.

The role requires a strong understanding of the counselling sector, with the ability to work empathetically with a diverse client group, while supporting and guiding counsellors on placement.

As part of a small charity and an NCPS-recognised service, the postholder will adopt a hands-on approach, contributing directly to the day-to-day running of the service, working flexibly as part of the team, and supporting the practical operation of the therapy centre.

Salary: £30,030 pro rota (£18,018 for 21 hours)

Accountable to: Director

Working Pattern: 21 hours per week. Currently the post will be expected to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (9am – 5pm) at our Therapy Centre including one late shift per week (11am - 7pm).

Objectives:

(i)Ensure the delivery of safe, ethical and high-quality counselling services in line with professional standards (BACP/NCPS).

(ii) Develop and implement processes that improve client access, flow, and outcomes (e.g. waiting times, engagement, completion).

(iii) Strengthen and expand the volunteer counselling programme, including recruitment, retention, and development.

(iv) Embed a culture of reflective practice, continuous improvement, and clinical excellence.

(v) Contribute to the financial sustainability of the service through efficient resource use and support for income-generating activity.

Service Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of YCS counselling services, ensuring a high-quality, accessible and well-coordinated provision.
• Oversee the full client journey, including referral, assessment, allocation, engagement and endings.
• Manage client assessment appointments, waiting lists and allocation to counsellors to ensure timely and appropriate access.
• Maintain a small caseload, including undertaking client assessments and delivering counselling where required, particularly in more complex cases.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the therapy centre, including opening and closing the premises and working flexibly as part of a small team.
• Work collaboratively as part of a small, values-driven team, contributing to a supportive and flexible working environment.

Student & Volunteer Counsellor Support

• Lead on the recruitment, induction and onboarding of student and volunteer counsellors.
• Provide ongoing guidance and support throughout the placement journey, ensuring a positive, structured and professionally enriching experience.
• Act as a key point of contact for counsellors, supporting them with queries relating to client work, processes and placement requirements.
• Monitor counsellor progress, including review of client logs, attendance and placement requirements, and completion of reports for training providers.
• Support counsellor wellbeing and development through regular communication, informal support and signposting where appropriate.

Clinical Quality & Safe Practice (in collaboration with Clinical Lead)

• Support the delivery of safe, ethical and effective counselling practice in line with NCPS (or equivalent) standards.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to counsellors on managing risk, safeguarding concerns and complex client presentations, escalating to the Clinical Lead where appropriate.
• Act as a safeguarding point of contact during operational hours (e.g. when locking up) and ensure concerns are appropriately recorded and escalated.
• Monitor client engagement, endings and overall service quality, identifying areas for improvement.

Service Development & Partnerships

• Support the Director in the ongoing development and growth of the counselling service.
• Build and maintain relationships with counselling training providers to support the recruitment and retention of placements.
• Contribute to the development of systems, processes and policies that improve service delivery and consistency.

Operations, Systems & Data

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and service records in line with GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
• Use digital systems (including Microsoft 365 and client management databases) to support efficient service delivery, communication and reporting.
• Monitor key service data, including waiting times, engagement and outcomes, supporting reporting requirements.
• Contribute to the effective administration of bookings, cancellations and client communications.
