We are recruiting a Van Peer Coordinator to support our Hepatitis C peer project in the Oxford & Thames Valley area. This role involves driving a van across the region and working with people affected by substance use and hepatitis C. 

Peers use their lived experience to raise awareness of hepatitis C, reduce stigma, and help people access testing and treatment. 

About you 
You will: 

• Be confident driving a van and travelling long distances 

• Have experience working with people affected by substance misuse 

• Have lived experience of hepatitis C, or experience supporting someone who has 

• Be reliable, compassionate, and well organised 

• Have good communication skills 

• Hold a clean driving licence (essential) 

What you’ll do 

• Recruit and support volunteer peers 

• Work with NHS hepatitis C teams, drug and alcohol services, and homelessness services 

• Coordinate education sessions and community-based hepatitis C testing 

• Support people into hepatitis C treatment and ongoing care 

This role requires regular travel across Oxford & Thames Valley. 

Housekeeper

Purpose of the role:

The Energy Advice Coordinator will provide essential advice to people affected by spinal cord injury who are struggling with, or at risk of fuel poverty, helping them to improve their situation while recognising and responding to the unique challenges that spinal cord injury can bring. They will manage a caseload offering practical solutions, whilst developing referral pathways to connect them with relevant services to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their fuel costs.

The role will also lead the development of knowledge and skills across Back Ups’ staff and volunteer teams, developing easy to use resources and an understanding of when and how to escalate cases for more in-depth advice. They will work closely with sector charities and advice organisations to ensure a high quality of seamless support while creating a lasting legacy for people affected by spinal cord injury.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide impartial advice to householders on the telephone, at events or online group events.
• Make use of internal and external referral systems to ensure clients’ needs are met;
•  Respond to enquiries from the public, local authority staff, private and voluntary sectors or installers and, where appropriate, redirecting them to members of staff or other agencies;
• Maintain quality of advice and information as required
• Work with the wider Back Up team to create resources to support people affected by spinal cord injury, both digitally and physically.
• Work with Back Up’s services team to embed and deliver group based online advice sessions in our support groups and course modules.
• Develop and lead a programme to ensure Back Up’s services staff and volunteers develop a baseline of knowledge that enables them to identify and provide basic information to people affected by spinal cord injury around energy efficiency.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' energy needs and identify potential solutions and further sources of support through telephone-based support.
• Provide tailored advice on energy-saving measures and support schemes to the caseload.
• Work collaboratively with local authorities, energy providers, and other relevant organisations to ensure comprehensive support for those in the caseload.
• Educate people affected by spinal cord injury on energy efficiency and ways to reduce their energy consumption.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and support provided, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Support the project manager with the development, delivery, and evaluation of the energy advice project.
• To maintain up to date, working knowledge of sustainable energy matters, affordable warmth, renewable energy, water heating and usage.
• At all times, ensure that advice service and activity are in line with the requirements of the project;
• Effectively utilise existing sources of data to identify suitable opportunities to meet customers’ needs.
• Stay up to date with relevant policies, schemes, and best practices related to fuel poverty and energy efficiency
• To develop and implement partnerships and referral routes that support people affected by spinal cord injury with relevant energy advice.
• Liaise with organisations to develop partnerships by utilising appropriate resources and support mechanisms;
• Represent Back Up at various partner meetings;
• Develop and maintain effective operational partnerships with key delivery agents and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on the impact of interventions and support provided.

Essential:

• Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within Energy Advice or similar area.
• City & Guilds Energy Awareness 6281-01 or the ability to achieve this.

We are looking for a Prevention and Intervention Programme Manager to line manage the Advisors (Sexual Violence Liaison Officers) and be responsible for an SVLO programme to support students who have experienced sexual violence, sexual harassment, gender-based violence and/or domestic abuse at any point in their lives. The Programme Manager will need to work closely with the Advice Service Manager to support the Specialist Advisors in working alongside the generalist advice provision. The Programme Manager will oversee the Active Bystander Programme as well as the expansion of new and existing programmes, including developing personalised packages for departments and an attractive offer for external partner organisations.

TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced and committed professional to join our team as our Services & Operations Manager.

Based across our sites in Trafford, you will provide clinical and operational oversight of TRC’s service areas (counselling, ISVA, helpline & digital, and Pathfinder) and provide direct day-to-day service management. The Role 
 
Reporting to the Head of Retail Property and Estates, as Centre Manager, you will lead a multiskilled team that delivers a consistently positive visitor experience at our flagship Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre at Hornbeam Park, Harrogate. This team provides a high level of customer service to the public across face-to-face interactions, email and telephone, while also creating a supportive working environment for employees and volunteers. This includes ensuring that the right resources, refreshments, and a clean, well maintained workspace are always available. 

As part of the visitor experience, you will be accountable for the safe and legally compliant operation of the Hornbeam Café and for ensuring it provides a comfortable and pleasant environment for customers. This includes managing the Café Manager and offering an appropriate balance of support and challenge in what is a high activity, high impact role 

You will be responsible for all health and safety elements within the Centre, including weekly fire alarm tests, routine checks and food preparation audits. The team also manages a range of consumables, so the role requires strong cost control, effective stock usage, and regular feedback on Yorkshire Cancer Research materials. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Ensure that all Health, Safety Fire and COSHH checks are carried out as required diligently, regularly and to the required standard. 

• Work closely with the Café Manager to maintain high standards of food safety through appropriate compliance adherence and regular audits. 

• Report any maintenance issues to facilities through the Yorkshire Cancer Research platform EVERY. 

• Line manage a Café Manager and a team of Centre Support Assistants and ensure they offer a positive, professional and warm welcome to all visitors. Manage the Centre Support Assistants ensuring cover on the Welcome Desk across key operating hours. 

• Develop a volunteer team with potential new role profiles to enhance the Centre Team. 

• Represent the Yorkshire Cancer Research brand positively, role modelling a professional appearance and presence in line with our values. 

• Support the team to maintain high standards at the centre with and in the Welcome Area. 

• Lead the team to provide visitors with up-to-date Yorkshire Cancer Research literature, offering the marketing team feedback on the documents provided. 

• Lead the team to ensure all working spaces including, meeting rooms and the kitchen area are well stocked and maintained. 

• Conduct recruitment processes when required and provide thorough induction and training for new recruits, ensuring new team members are well integrated into their roles and team. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• Proven experience of working in a similar role at a similar level.

• Experience of leading, building and developing a team.

• Experience of creating, developing and streamlining operational and administrative processes and procedures. 

• Proven experience of implementing systems and conducting training as necessary.

• Proven experience of monitoring budgets and tracking progress.

• Proven experience of delivering tangible process improvement.

• Experience of proactively working to advance skills through continued professional development relevant to the role and level.

• Experience of basic Health and Safety and Fire training in previous roles alongside an awareness of GDPR, Cyber Security and Safeguarding or can demonstrate awareness of the above. Good understanding of Data Protection principles and food safety 

• Experience of working in the hospitality sector. In terms of budget management and good practice. 

This is an onsite, hands on and demanding role, requiring someone who can remain calm under pressure and knows when to escalate issues.

Roll up your sleeves and deliver employability sessions directly to our incredible young people. You'll also help our Delivery Partners and volunteers do the same, both in person and virtually through our trusty MS Teams. When we're doing things face-to-face, you’ll need to hit the road and be there in person to help with programme delivery or programme visits to make sure all is running as smoothly as possible.

And if that’s not enough to keep you busy, you’ll also be keeping meticulous records of information and data on our young people, volunteers, and partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey is accurately reflected in our systems so that it complies with our funding contracts.

About the Role

As a passionate professional in the identification, development and management of a wide range of relationships in support of our programme partnership, you will ensure the Career Ready programme in Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire continues to thrive, which includes securing charitable donations from supporting partners. You will work closely with our Programme & Partnerships Manager for Glasgow, in support of our work growing there.

This role requires experience of partnership and account management and the scale and ambition of our social mobility work means you will need to be well organised, confident and able to positively influence a wide range of people including headteachers, teachers, CEOs and HRDs.

You will identify and approach opportunities that are well researched and pursue with unswerving perseverance. It’s also a great chance to develop personally.

Programme & Partnership Managers lead the delivery of our programme locally. In this role, you’ll grow, develop, and maintain the employer and education partnerships that make the Career Ready programme work — including our Local Advisory Boards, Local Authorities, school coordinators, the Developing the Young Workforce Regional Group, and the employers and volunteers who provide mentoring with the accompanying paid internship, deliver engaging masterclasses, and support events.

Once you’re confident in what, why, when, and how of our work, you will:
1. Lead, grow, and strengthen the Career Ready partnerships in Renfrewshire & West
Dunbartonshire.

You’ll ensure an excellent programme experience for all stakeholders and secure employer engagement for approximately 60+ students each year (with growth expected) who take part in our 18-month programme. This includes ensuring
sufficient mentors with the accompanying paid internship, high-quality masterclasses and purposeful events.

2. Support programme delivery, stakeholder engagement and the generation of new programme and funding partnerships across Renfrewshire & West Dunbartonshire. 

You’ll work closely with the Career Ready Glasgow & West Areas Local Advisory Board, the Programme & Partnerships Manager for Glasgow, the Head of Programme & Operations, the Scotland Partnerships Manager, Partnerships Lead, and your fellow Programme & Partnerships Managers — all committed to delivering quality, impact, and sustainability. You’ll also collaborate with the Scotland Operations Team to
ensure accurate data, strong processes, and effective management information for the area.
