Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, London SE16.  Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 139 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with children and families’ programmes and a range of volunteering projects.

The Role

In this role you will:

• Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of Time & Talents’ Community Programme and volunteering offer, ensuring activities are inclusive, responsive to local need and underpinned by strong safeguarding, participation and partnership working.
•  Develop meaningful volunteering pathways, including corporate volunteering, embed community voice in programme design and evaluation, and contribute to organisational sustainability through effective budgeting, reporting and fundraising support.

· Support the Casework Services Manager and Head of Welfare in better understanding the needs of the beneficiaries in your area to inform the commissioning of specialist services

· Work in close collaboration with other providers of welfare support services within the local area, developing an understanding of each other’s services to facilitate appropriate referrals and support

The role is primarily homebased but will have regular travel around the London area, specifically to our Haig House office, for meetings and visiting beneficiaries, therefore you will need to live in a location that allows reasonable travel around this area. There will also be occasional travel nationally to attend training or meetings.

Our work is local, practical and volunteer-led: befriending, home visits, transport, weekly activities, monthly teas, intergenerational groups and occasional day trips are all delivered with warmth and care.

Interim Chief Executive Officer – North Surrey Domestic Abuse Service (NSDAS)

Location: Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Spelthorne (hybrid; 2 days per week on-site presence

About North Surrey Domestic Abuse Service (NSDAS)

NSDAS is a specialist, survivor-centred charity formed as an independent Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2024 following a period hosted by Citizens Advice. We provide confidential practical and emotional support to adults and children affected by domestic abuse across Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Spelthorne, delivering helpline and email advice, advocacy, safety planning, refuge and housing pathways, recovery programmes and targeted work for children and young people. Our practice is trauma-informed and feminist in outlook, foregrounding safety, confidentiality and the lived experience of survivors.

We are a small, specialist organisation with an average headcount of around 18 (approximately 15 frontline staff and three support roles), supported by a committed cohort of volunteers. Since independence our trustees have prioritised governance, compliance and capacity building; in our first independently reported year total income was c.£932k and trustees view the near-term financial position as stable while planning prudently for the medium term. This interim appointment offers the chance to lead NSDAS through consolidation and prepare the charity for its next strategic phase.

As our next Interim Chief Executive Officer, you will:

• Strategy & Impact: Develop and deliver a clear 12-month operational plan, with pragmatic milestones and measurable outcomes that align with trustee priorities and service needs.

• Governance & Finance: Strengthen governance and risk reporting to the Board, maintain oversight of day-to-day financial control and cashflow, and support the Treasurer in preparing budgets and regular management reports.

• Operational Leadership: Provide stable, visible leadership and day-to-day operational management, ensuring continuity and quality of frontline services.

Who you are

• A seasoned senior leader with proven executive experience in a small to medium-sized charity or comparable organisation (c.8–20 staff; turnover circa £0.5m+).

• Demonstrable experience of leading organisations through change or transition while maintaining service continuity.

• Strong people leadership skills with experience managing sensitive HR matters, staff wellbeing and clinical/therapeutic supervision arrangements.

• A track record of successful income generation and relationship management with funders, commissioners and statutory partners.

• Financially competent with experience of budgetary control, reading management accounts and reporting to trustees.

• Excellent communicator, credible at both operational detail and strategic discussion, with highly developed stakeholder engagement skills.

• Knowledge of domestic abuse and trauma-informed approaches is essential (practical experience in the VAWG sector strongly preferred).

• Commitment to equality, diversity and survivor-centred practice and the ability to travel across the boroughs and work flexibly.

Role details:

The BDA is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator (Country Boards). This role provides governance and administrative support to the BDA's four Country Boards across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, covering everything from scheduling meetings and taking minutes to tracking workplans and maintaining records. The postholder will also act as a key communication link between the Country Boards, local branches, BDA staff teams and members, ensuring information flows clearly in both directions. It's a varied, detail-oriented role that sits at the heart of the BDA's volunteer governance structure.

Ideal candidate:

We're looking for a highly organised Volunteer Coordinator with experience of supporting committees, boards or governance processes. The successful candidate will be confident managing a varied workload across multiple groups, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of people, from staff colleagues to volunteer board members and branch leaders. Proactive by nature, you'll anticipate what's needed and keep things moving without being asked. A solid understanding of governance and accurate record keeping is essential, along with a collaborative, can-do attitude.

Join our team as an EDI Officer!

The EDI Officer role focuses on enhancing equity in health access and outcomes for all social groups within the local community, particularly in OUH palliative care services. The post holder will collaborate closely with palliative medicine colleagues to develop and lead projects aimed at improving EDI aspects across all Palliative Care departments.

This will be achieved by implementing the five-year EDI strategy plan, which supports hospice teams in integrating EDI considerations in all areas of care. Additionally, the role involves contributing to Trust-wide Health Inequalities initiatives through collaboration with the Trust’s EDI colleagues and Patient Experience Team and various internal and external stakeholders to meet EDI and health inequalities objectives.

What you'll do

· Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Oversee the implementation of the EDI Strategy for the Palliative Medicine Department to ensure services meet the needs of the diverse population in the catchment area.

· Service Planning and Development, Project Management: Take responsibility for the development and implementation of projects and service improvements with an EDI focus as agreed with line manager or Clinical Lead.

· Data Collection and Analysis: Review and analyse data on groups with protected characteristics and/or who may experience palliative care health inequalities within our catchment.

· Engagement: Identify and work to engage individuals and carers who are experiencing/are at risk of experiencing health inequalities in end of life and palliative care.

As Charity Officer, you will directly support our venues based at Redlibbets Golf Club, Cobtree Manor Golf Club, and Warley Park Golf Club.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery:

• Plan, organise, and execute a range of community outreach and charity events, including (but not limited to) Fun, Food, and Golf, Community Cafes and School outreach.
• Collaborate with local schools, charities, and community groups to build strong relationships and drive participation in these programs.
• Ensure the successful delivery of events, including logistics, staffing, equipment, and communication with all relevant stakeholders.
• Work as part of the leadership team at each assigned venue to ensure that charity delivery is an integral part of venue operations.

Partnership Management:

• Build and maintain partnerships with local schools, charities, and other organisations, working to enhance the visibility and impact of Get Golfing’s charity initiatives.
• Identify new opportunities for collaboration with local charities to create synergies and maximise the use of our venue spaces.
• Represent Get Golfing at community events, meetings, and partnerships, ensuring a positive and professional image of the charity.

Funding and Compliance:

• Familiarise with and navigate the local government Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) funding landscape to secure funding for eligible programs where applicable.
• Ensure all programs are compliant with relevant local safeguarding requirements for working with young people and vulnerable adults.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation for funding applications and compliance checks.

Safeguarding and Wellbeing:

• Adhere to and enforce Get Golfing's safeguarding policies, ensuring that all staff and volunteers are adequately trained and supported.
• Monitor the safety and wellbeing of all participants during events, making sure all appropriate risk assessments and safeguarding protocols are followed.

Community Engagement and Impact:

• Engage with local communities to understand their needs and feedback, ensuring Get Golfing’s programs are accessible, relevant, and impactful.
• Promote Get Golfing’s charitable initiatives through local media, social media, and other communication channels, raising awareness of the charity’s work.
• Collect data and feedback to measure the success and impact of outreach programs, activations and initiatives- assisting with the preparation of reports for key stakeholders.

Administrative and Event Coordination:

• Maintain accurate records of events, funding applications, and partnerships.
• Coordinate with other departments and teams within Get Golfing to ensure effective event delivery and administrative support.
• Manage the budget for each project and event, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.

Person Specification

Experience

• Experience in community engagement, charity work, event management, or education, particularly in a role involving young people or vulnerable groups.
• Experience working with children and young people in an educational, sporting, or charitable setting.
• Understanding of fundraising strategies and the ability to secure financial support for charitable initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills

• (Desirable) Knowledge of the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) funding landscape and local government initiatives.
• Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures for working with children and vulnerable adults.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including schools, charities, and local authorities.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple events simultaneously.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce reports and promotional content.
