Foxhill Housekeeping Assistant – Part-time, term time only.

Foxhill is the retreat house and conference centre for the Church of England Diocese in Chester, located in Frodsham.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable part-time Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain the smooth running of Foxhill House. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Foxhill and the rest of the team to ensure our environment is welcoming, clean, and well-organized.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and teamwork in a dynamic, supportive environment. We value flexibility, a positive attitude, and attention to detail. If you're passionate about providing excellent service, we'd love to hear from you!

The contract will be for 15 hours a week (term time only), spread over 2 or 3 days on a 7 day rota and will vary according to the workload at Foxhill. It will be paid at an hourly rate of £12.60 per hour. There may be the option of additional hours when required.

Key Responsibilities

Spear Programme

• Lead group sessions of up around 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics

Relationship management

• Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
• You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre

Church Community

• Spear South Wales is run in partnership with Citizen Church, meaning you will work alongside a vibrant church staff team and have the support of the church in the running of the programme
• You will be required to establish a personal presence within the community, and build a strong and committed network of supporters in the partner church. While it's desirable that this is your regular place of worship, we would consider candidates already in other local churches who are unable to move

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that the charity is successful in achieving its objective to rescue and secure a growing supply of surplus food direct from farms, helping us to meet our ambitious future meal targets to feed those in need. You will take a lead role in maintaining relations with the farms and managing large groups of corporate volunteers who change day to day. You will be the First Aid point of contact, provide support with resource planning, daily reporting and measurement. You will also work with the Felix media team to capture photos, case studies and other activities. This is a hands-on role that requires being on your feet and frequent manual handling and is 100% outdoor based regardless of weather.

About the opportunity

The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Lead, the Account Management Officer will manage relationships with STEM Learning’s valued funders while working to ambitious targets, ensuring they have an exceptional experience.

This role will be mostly home-based, with an office day every week at either London (City) or York University (walking distance from York city centre). Travel for meetings will be expensed. The National STEM Learning Centre based at York University is a unique and impressive teacher CPD venue, mirroring the modern classroom and laboratory facilities, as well as housing their inspirational resources centre. 

Key responsibilities for the Account Management Officer role include:

• Stewardship of Funders: Manage and streamline communications with STEM Learning’s growing group of funders.
• Creative Engagement: Develop innovative ways to engage with funders, including strategic partnerships, commercial activities, and employee engagement through the STEM Ambassadors programme.
• Effective Communication: Correspond with funders using creative and engaging methods.
• Creating “Wow” Moments: Build personal connections between funders and STEM Learning’s mission.
• Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to ensure effective partnership delivery.
• Impact Evidence: Leverage STEM Learning’s impact evidence and collaborate with the Evaluation Team.
• Growth and Renewals: Ensure the growth and renewal of existing partnerships.
• New Partnerships: Work with the Fundraising Development team on pitches and ensure a smooth handover of new wins.

Ideal skills and experience:

• Track record in building and sustaining exceptional relationships with supporters and funders
• Strong organisational skills, enthusiasm and tenacity
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration are a must
• Specialist knowledge of the trends and developments in the sector completed through relevant training is desirable. In the role, you will need to stay up to date on relevant press and industry news.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver the community fundraising strategy in the South Lancashire region. You will report into the Senior Regional Fundraiser and focus on building strong relationships with existing supporters, as well as recruiting new support to maximise fundraising activities and income.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a local fundraising plan to maximise income generation across the designated geographic area.
• Ensure all activities are delivered within budget, achieving agreed ROI and making sure  they are in line with the organisation’s values and ethos.
• Support the wider team to achieve income budgets and agreed objectives in line with the overall fundraising strategy.
• Research, identify and develop long term partnerships with appropriate groups and associations, individuals and volunteers at a local level, offering excellent donor stewardship

The Person

We are ideally looking for someone who has experience in a Community Fundraising role with previous knowledge of working to targets. However, NWAA are flexible and will consider applicants with the relevant transferable skills.

Most importantly you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to build long lasting relationships, and have the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences. In addition experience in developing and delivering plans, managing budgets and financial forecasting would be advantageous as well as working with databases.

These are innovative roles to develop social prescribing in the local NHS. Based in one of the six Primary Care Networks (PCN) you will work in different GP practices across that Network to deliver their specific priorities. You will join a team of ten Social Prescribing Link Workers working in Haringey PCNs and be part of a wider community-based Borough team which offers information, signposting and short-term support across the eight localities in Haringey.

Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical Social Prescribing Link Workers, who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.

Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

At the centre of the social prescribing process is the Social Prescribing Link Worker, working with GP Practices in a Primary Care Network, who connects patients who are referred to a range of activities and services in the local area depending on their needs, interests and capacity for engagement. This is a complex role as the SPLW will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the patient and have a comprehensive knowledge of the services and activities available in the local area.
