Ascension Community Trust (ACT) is a much-loved community-based charity in Custom House, Newham.  We deliver a range of projects including Newham District Foodbank (a Trussell Trust foodbank), welfare benefits advice, ESOL classes, work with adults with learning difficulties, as well as work with children, young people and their families.

Digital Fundraising Officer - 12-month Maternity Cover

The Veterans' Foundation is entering its second decade with a clear ambition to build a more sustainable, diversified and data-led fundraising model. Following ten years of rapid growth driven primarily through lottery acquisition, the organisation is now evolving its approach to strengthen supporter engagement, improve retention and maximise fundraising performance across a wider range of income streams.

This role will play an important part in that transition. As the Foundation launches a new website, develops its use of Salesforce and strengthens its supporter communications, the Digital Fundraising Officer will help deliver effective digital fundraising and engagement activity across multiple channels. The postholder will support campaign delivery, manage digital content and platforms, and use data and insight to improve performance and supporter experience.

Principal Duties

The main duties of the Digital Fundraising Officer are:

· To plan, create and deliver fundraising, supporter engagement and stewardship communications across digital channels including email, website and social media

· To manage content across the Veterans' Foundation website, ensuring it remains accurate, engaging, accessible and aligned to fundraising and organisational priorities

· To support delivery of integrated fundraising campaigns across digital channels, helping to maximise income, engagement and supporter retention

· To use Salesforce and other digital systems to support campaign delivery, audience selection, reporting and data management

· To coordinate digital activity with external agencies, suppliers and partners, ensuring work is delivered to agreed standards and timescales

Person Specification

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

· Experience of working in a digital fundraising, communications or marketing role

Professional development delivery: Deliver evidence-based CPD, mentoring, and coaching to support practitioners, particularly early-career and out-of-field teachers, to build subject knowledge and confidence in teaching physics in line with the Curriculum for Wales.

Equity and inclusion: Contribute to equity-focused interventions that explore and address systemic and school-level barriers to post-16 physics participation, including unconscious bias and science capital gaps.

Monitoring and reporting: Track and evaluate programme delivery, capturing data on participation, feedback, outcomes, and impact. Contribute to quarterly monitoring reports and support external evaluation.

Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools in Wales, education stakeholders, and fellow partners. Represent the IOP in local networks and act as a regional champion for physics education.

Continuous learning: Develop and maintain your expertise in science education, curriculum reform, inclusion strategies, and subject-specific pedagogy to ensure interventions are current, effective, and aligned with practitioners' needs.

• Carry out regular walk rounds of the site to support Welcome Team members, collaborate and provide feedback and ensure standards are consistently met;
• Cover Welcome Team positions as an when required, providing a welcoming, friendly and engaging visitor experience to all visitors to the Cathedral;
• Organise monthly rotas for the Welcome Team to ensure all days are adequately staffed, managing annual leave, sickness and overtime requests;
• Work alongside the Head of Engagement to develop and maintain training sessions and ensure mandatory training is up to date;
• Attend weekly Cathedral Diary meetings and manage daily service sheets and promotional materials;
• Handle complaints procedure and any difficult customers;
• Manage the recording of daily visitor numbers and donation figures;
• Take the lead on card payments for on the day ticket sales for public and group tours, and other engagement events;
• Attend the Health and Safety Committee and ensure the Welcome Team are confident and compliant with all health, safety, security and safeguarding policies and procedures;
• Take an active role in providing visitors with information about the Cathedral and its history, upcoming events, donation points, services and more;
• Communicate with pre-booked and un-booked tour groups requiring access to the Cathedral;
• Refer any visitor in need of pastoral care to the Day Chaplain or clergy;
• Encourage visitors to donate to the Cathedral through the various platforms available in the Cathedral and online and to encourage those making a donation to Gift Aid it should they be eligible to do so;
• Direct visitors to the Cathedral Shop and Café encouraging secondary spend;
• Promote the sale of information products such as the Visitor Map and Guidebook;

Job Summary
Working closely with the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager, this role will support the delivery of high value corporate partnerships, including stewardship and engagement activities, as well as business development, identifying opportunities with aligned brands and up-coming charity of the year applications, to develop new corporate partnerships. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with one day a week in the office in West London, and expectation to attend partner events where required. 

You will be a creative, organised and reliable individual, ideally with experience in a fundraising team, supporting corporate partnerships or community fundraising. An excellent communicator, able to manage your time effectively and build good working relationships, you will support the Income team to deliver and secure corporate partnerships, working with colleagues across the charity to identify opportunities for engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support with high value corporate partnerships, including the delivery of employee engagement activities and communications, fundraising events and challenges
• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship and identifying and maximising opportunities for wider engagement
• Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to steward and engage partners and prospects, including thought leadership, communications, events, volunteering and fundraising activities
• Support with business development, utilising Salesforce, Pearlfinders and LinkedIn to identify and track opportunities
• Support the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager to create proposals, offers and presentations for new and existing partners
• Support with challenge events, including fostering corporate participant journeys, organising cheer points, being familiar with various fundraising platforms, coordinating event logistics, resources, and post-event wrap-up reports 
• Support with stewardship of a select few high-value donors and ambassadors throughout their fundraising challenges, helping to deliver an engaging, bespoke and positive supporter experience 
• Manage team administration, including merchandise orders
• Build excellent stakeholder relationships, keeping key contacts updated and ensuring partnership renewals
• Work with Commissioned Partnerships and Trust and Foundations colleagues to identify cross and upsell opportunities

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience developing and managing corporate partnership relationships.
• Proven ability to write compelling, creative, and tailored partnership proposals.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including delivering pitches to external stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities.
• Flexibility to support at challenge events, office fundraisers and awareness campaign activities.
• Ability to contribute and help develop creative ideas for challenge events and awareness activities.
• Ability to work proactively and manage multiple partnership opportunities simultaneously.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience using CRM or database systems to manage partnerships and supporter information.

The Head of Experience is a senior cross-organisational leadership role building and leading a new Experience function at the heart of the Engagement and Income Generation directorate.

It exists to change how the organisation understands and responds to the people it exists for. That means identifying where experiences can be improved and creating the conditions to act on it.

The postholder will drive cross-functional collaboration so that audience insight and data consistently inform strategic decisions. They will create the systems and governance that turn insight into action across the breadth of MS experience.

The postholder is accountable for driving measurable improvements in how audiences experience every interaction with us. This builds the conditions for integrated, audience-led engagement at scale, in service of delivering greater impact and sustainable income.

Here, young people aged 16–30 access employment support, develop skills, and build confidence in a welcoming, inclusive environment. More than just a service, Elevate 100 is a platform for youth voice, co-production, and real influence.

As Youth Involvement Lead, you’ll be the key link between young people and the project. You’ll coordinate and support the Youth Action Board, helping young people shape decisions, manage budgets, and influence how services are delivered. You’ll facilitate engaging sessions, build trusted relationships, and ensure every young person feels heard, valued, and empowered.

Alongside this, you’ll mentor a small group of young people, supporting them to identify their goals and take steps towards employment, education, or training. You’ll also work closely with partners including Lewisham Council and Phoenix Community Housing, contributing youth insight to strengthen delivery and ensure services truly reflect local needs.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role for someone who is passionate about youth voice, confident facilitating groups, and committed to creating inclusive spaces where young people can grow and lead.
