We are seeking a Reserves Officer (Hook) to join our cause.
Reporting to the Senior Nature Recovery Manager (North Hampshire) and functioning as a key member of the North Hampshire Area Team, this post is responsible for the habitat management of Hook Commons, Bassetts Mead and North Warnborough Greens. This portfolio of sites includes a diverse mixture of heathland, acid grassland, woodland, woodpasture and wet meadow habitats; all of which are being managed or restored to favourable condition with support from the team and in partnership with organisations such as Natural England, our inhouse grazing team, local landowners and Hook Parish Council. You will lead on wood pasture creation, heathland restoration, as well as wet meadow management on the Whitewater catchment.
The Reserves Officer (Hook) will deliver Countryside Stewardship Scheme and other work plan objectives, working with fellow staff, volunteers, contractors, project partners and the grazing team to implement habitat management activities. Estate management will also include the maintenance of reserve infrastructure and gathering ecological data through working with partners and carrying out surveying when required. This role will also involve working closely with colleagues in the north reserves team to support the team objectives across our sites including large areas of MOD estate and Pamber Forest; while also maintaining a close and supportive relationship with our grazing team.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.
We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.
We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa holder (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.
We are recruiting Senior Employment Advisors to join the STEP team delivering this new programme, working directly with participants who have specialist careers. The Senior Employment Advisors will have expertise in one or more of the following areas of recruitment: education, accounting and finance, health, and IT.

Job Summary:
Barnardo's Bewick Road Service is excited to offer an opportunity for a qualified social worker to join the Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Centre at James Cook University Hospital, Teesside. This part-time role offers the chance to develop your social work skills within an established and supportive multi-disciplinary team (MDT). The position also includes flexible working options Monday to Friday (working over 3 days), with ongoing support and training provided.
To be considered for this role, candidates should have at least three years' post-qualification experience working with vulnerable children or adults, and be registered with Social Work England (or equivalent). A full UK driving licence is required.
Main Duties:
The CF social worker will provide support to children with Cystic Fibrosis, their families, and carers, focusing on the social aspects of care. The service covers a large geographical area, including Teesside, Redcar and Cleveland, and Durham, with the role based at James Cook University Hospital.
Key responsibilities include:
- Attending outpatient clinic appointments, inpatient ward admissions, and conducting home visits to assess and follow up on community-based needs.
- Supporting the Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis team in addressing the emotional, social, practical, and financial needs of children and families affected by CF.

This is an extremely diverse job, supporting all aspects of the CSA Centre's busy and impactful policy and communications functions, from assisting in the production and design of digital content for our website, social media channels and newsletter, to helping us respond to emerging trends in policy and practice. As Policy and Communications Assistant at the CSA Centre you will play a key role in tackling child sexual abuse, alongside the work of our colleagues across practice, research, policy, communications and training. This is important work - the CSA Centre conservatively estimates that one in ten children will experience some form of child sexual abuse before age of 16, and our ambitious programme seeks to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of professionals (social workers, teachers, social workers, nurses etc.) in identifying and responding to child sexual abuse. We have already made great progress, but there is much more to be done – and we need your help to do it!
This role is currently funded until 31 March 2026, in line with the current grant funding arrangements for the CSA Centre. This will be reviewed in late 2025, as future funding for the CSA Centre from 2026/27 onwards is clarified.
Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding currently until March 2026 and therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement. This contract is due to expire on 31.03.26.

We are the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse (CSA Centre). Our aim is to reduce the impact of child sexual abuse through improved prevention and better response. To tackle child sexual abuse we must better understand its causes, scope, scale and impact.
First established in 2017, we are a multi-disciplinary team that is funded by the Home Office, hosted by Barnardo's and we work closely with key partners from academic institutions, local authorities, health, education, police and the voluntary sector. We're proudly independent and our team will challenge any barriers, assumptions, taboos and ways of working that prevent us from increasing our understanding and improving our approach to child sexual abuse.
We bring about change by:
- Collating and analysing existing research, policy, practice and the real experiences of those affected, and filling the gaps we identify with new research, insights and analysis;

About the Role
Advice Giving
- Deliver a multi-channel advice service, including home visits, to clients regarding their energy needs and income maximisation support, ensuring advice provided meets the requirements of Citizens Advice quality standards.
- Ensure all case recording and other record keeping is completed within agreed timescales and conforms to the Office Manual and the Advice Quality Standards
- Use sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and to identify the next course of action.

About the Role
Inclusion Coordinator will design and deliver creative arts activities for young people, overseeing the programmes for the Sensory Room and Duty Management of the Sunday Beyond Session. As well as this, you will provide line management support, coaching and development for arts sessional workers in their areas. About You
With a relevant qualification in SEND or Youth Work Essential Evidence of ongoing professional development (for example Safeguarding, health & Safety, Management), you will have experience of delivering SEND activities to young people in-line with relevant guidance and good practice.
You will have essential, proven experience of working with young people aged 8 to 19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs) in a range of settings and experience of engaging vulnerable, disengaged or hard to reach young people in activities. We are also looking for someone with experience of managing a staff team, ideally including volunteers and with a strong commitment to safeguarding children.

The Health and Wellbeing Manager must:
· Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in community programme development (health sector desirable)

· Have experience of managing people
· Have experience of monitoring and evaluating community programmes
Ideally, the Health and Wellbeing Manager will:
· Have experience delivering community programmes with adults and young people
· Have experience building stakeholder relationships with organisations such as the NHS and Local Authorities
· Have knowledge of the NHS landscape and future plans, particularly across South West London
· Have experience building and developing new health and wellbeing initiatives from scratch
· Have an understanding of the non-for-profit and charity sector

About You
You will have a relevant qualification in Youth Work or Sports Development (or substantial demonstrable experience across multiple sports disciplines and evidence of ongoing professional development, for example Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Management) and the ability to officiate and lead a range of Sports activities/projects.
With proven experience of working with young people aged 8 to 19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs) in a range of settings, you will have experience of engaging vulnerable, disengaged or hard to reach young people in activities in-line with relevant guidance and good practice. We are also looking for someone with experience of managing a staff team, ideally including volunteers.
