Key aspects of the role

To ensure the effective management of Pdap safe accommodation services. We currently have 3 refuge sites across Kirklees and a combined bed space of 23, with plans for further expansion in 2027.

To provide regular line management and development opportunities to your team and ensure they are adequately supported on a day-to-day basis.

To be responsible for accommodation contract compliance and maintain effective relationships with our partners and commissioners in Kirklees.

Develop and maintain excellent links with our accommodation landlords ensuring they are kept up to date with any concerns, areas for development and opportunities for growth at each site.

To ensure our buildings and support services meet all legal regulations (e.g. Health & Safety/ HMO licencing conditions & Safeguarding).

Lead on the implementation and compliance of our Leading Lights accreditation within our accommodation team.
•
To work with the CEO to contribute to Pdap Strategic Planning, including opportunities for further development and expansion of our safe accommodation services.

To educate and inform the public and other professionals; raising awareness, increasing understanding of domestic abuse and improving the multi-agency response in Kirklees.

To ensure Pdap values are central to delivery of all services including that our homes are fit for purpose as welcoming places for our families to live.
• To ensure that the views of those with lived experience of domestic abuse are at the core of the work Pdap carries out and that they inform and shape the development of new services
Oversight of high quality service delivery
• To develop and implement policies and procedures relating to the accommodation service ensuring they are kept up to date and in line with current legislation.
• Embed accreditation requirements throughout service management and delivery.
• Monitor and evaluate the service, producing accurate data reports as and when required for commissioners, CEO and the Board of Trustees.
• Support the accommodation team in providing a safe, secure and welcoming environment for victims of domestic abuse.
• To ensure that our commitment to inclusion, equity and diversity is embedded across all aspects of employment and service delivery.
• To ensure our accommodation services are delivered and adequately resourced in line with the DA Act and the LA Statutory Duty requirements, identifying any gaps in delivery and working with the CEO and commissioners to address these.

Supporting our Staff • To lead on the recruitment, induction and deployment of accommodation staff, volunteers and student placements ensuring effective cover across all sites.
• To provide regular supervision, support and development opportunities to the accommodation team leader, maintenance officer and housekeeper.
• Oversee training and development opportunities for accommodation staff, empowering them to develop their skills and knowledge whilst being managed with a fair and consistent approach.
• Act as Safeguarding Lead for Accommodation services.
• Promote and foster good working relationships between all Pdap staffing teams.
Working with our Partners

Job Title:                        Farm Rescue Lead

About The Felix Project 

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that the charity is successful in achieving its objective to rescue and secure a growing supply of surplus food direct from farms, helping us to meet our ambitious future meal targets to feed those in need. You will take a lead role in maintaining relations with the farms and managing large groups of corporate volunteers who change day to day. You will be the First Aid point of contact, provide support with resource planning, daily reporting and measurement. You will also work with the Felix media team to capture photos, case studies and other activities. This is a hands-on role that requires being on your feet and frequent manual handling and is 100% outdoor based regardless of weather.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Your normal duties and responsibilities will be set out in your job description. However, the charity may require you to perform other duties from time to time. 

• Initial set up 8:00am at orchard site each day 
• Carry out Dynamic Risk Assessment each morning
• Meet, greet and check in volunteers on arrival
• Support volunteers with way finding from train station to farm
• Introduction and H&S briefings for volunteers
• Manage all aspects of picking, stacking, loading of fruit
• Arrange lunch and refreshments for volunteers
• Liaise with farmer/on-site contact day-to-day
• Liaise with Haulier to arrange collections and deliveries 
• Liaise with the depot teams regarding deliveries
• Lead & support where necessary on all farm outreach activity
• Any other duties as directed by line management

About the role

The Doncaster Therapeutic Service is based within therapeutic services in the Resettlement Team in South Yorkshire. The Resettlement team provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies, the Refugee Council Resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.

The Psychological Therapist role is designed to provide one-to-one psychological therapy to resettled refugees presenting with mental distress. We have adopted a psychosocial perspective and use a specially tailored care model to address the needs of our clients. The team have supported resettled adult refugees in South Yorkshire by providing short-term one-to-one therapeutic support since September 2017.

Contract and hours: Fixed term, part-time, 7 hours per week.

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in ensuring learning and evidence informs decisions and contributes to the foundation’s strategy. The successful candidate will be naturally curious, analytical and will share in the overall vision of the foundation. They will enjoy exploring data, asking questions and presenting insights that can make a genuine difference. They will bring substantial experience of research and analysis in addition to having the ability to work confidently across both qualitative and quantitative methods. This experience will ideally have been gained in the grant making, philanthropic, charity or not-for-profit sectors.

This person will be a strong communicator both verbally and in writing and will be able to translate complex findings into clear, compelling narratives that others can easily digest and act on. Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally, this person will be a great listener and facilitator, able to curate open and reflective conversations.

Highly organised and self-motivated, this person will be able to manage competing priorities and see projects through to completion methodically in addition to being confident using data tools and systems to produce high-quality, accurate work to tight deadlines. IT savvy across all MS packages will be essential in addition to experience of Salesforce and data visualisation/analysis software being very useful indeed.

Through practical support and casework, you will take the necessary steps to halt creditor action, prepare accurate financial statements, make repayment offers, and apply strategies to reduce, write off and manage debt effectively. Alongside this, you will provide budgeting guidance to help clients regain control of their finances and build long‑term stability. Your ability to work confidently with third parties—including local authorities, bailiffs, landlords and lenders—will be essential in preventing enforcement action and resolving arrears.

Job Purpose:

The Marketing & Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing St Hilda’s East’s marketing strategy and will take the lead in organising fundraising events and securing funds from individual donations, and rental and room hire income.

They will lead on communications with external stakeholders through the development and implementation of SHE’s marketing plans and social media strategy. There will be a particular focus on strengthening our unique link with the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, as well as with parents and pupils of the school – to raise awareness of the impact of St. Hilda’s East and to organise joint events. The postholder will work alongside freelance fundraisers who focus on maximising grant income.

It is not essential to have experience in the non-profit sector; we would love to hear from you if you have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment and are looking to bring your talents to the charity sector.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective financial management, control, and statutory reporting of the organisation and its associated entities. This is a broad and hands-on role offering exposure to financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, systems oversight, and stakeholder engagement within a values-driven environment. You will have at least two years’ experience providing specialist-level welfare rights advice and experience of providing housing casework. The role involves identifying opportunities for income maximisation, supporting clients to ensure benefits are correctly assessed, and assisting with mandatory reconsiderations and appeals. You will also support Disabled people with housing-related issues, including homelessness prevention and access to suitable accommodation.

You will work holistically, managing complex cases and advocating for clients across statutory services, specialist advice agencies, and community organisations. The role provides social welfare rights advice, advocacy, and casework support within CDA’s remit and does not involve the provision of regulated legal services.

You will be committed to developing your understanding of the Social Model of Disability and share our vision for a radically inclusive world where people are not disabled by the society in which they live.
