This role is central to telling the stories that bring Carers Trust’s work to life and inspire people to engage with our mission. Through the creation of high-quality, engaging digital content across social media, video, web and written channels, the Digital Content Officer will help raise awareness of the challenges facing unpaid carers and demonstrate the difference that Carers Trust, our Network Partners and supporters make across the UK.
Working within the Marketing and Communications Team and closely alongside colleagues across the organisation, the postholder will develop and deliver compelling content that supports campaigns, fundraising, influencing and engagement activity. They will gather stories from carers and Network Partners, create and coordinate digital content across multiple platforms, and help ensure our communications remain creative, timely and audience-focused.
The role will also play an important part in ensuring the voices, experiences and achievements of unpaid carers are at the heart of Carers Trust's communications. By creating impactful and accessible content that informs, inspires and engages, the postholder will help strengthen public understanding, increase support for carers, and contribute to positive change for unpaid carers across the UK.
As the postholder you will:
- Work with Marketing and Communications colleagues to turn these stories into high-quality creative content for Carers Trust's online channels.
- Act as a brand guardian: maintaining consistent, on-brand content across digital channels in line with our brand guidelines, and providing quality control over social media requests from other departments.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Fundraiser to join our growing Income Generation & Communications team and support the delivery of fundraising events that make a real difference to local people and their families.
Reporting to the Community & Events Fundraiser Lead, you will play a key role in organising and delivering a range of fundraising and challenge events, helping to maximise income, recruit participants and provide excellent supporter experiences. You will combine strong event organisation and project management with a clear focus on fundraising, ensuring our events are delivered safely, professionally and cost-effectively while encouraging participants to develop a longer-term relationship with Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
You will work with volunteers, participants, suppliers and colleagues to ensure events are delivered successfully while building strong relationships with supporters and acting as an ambassador for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
Duties and Key responsibilities
- Support the Community & Events Fundraiser Lead in delivering the Events Fundraising Strategy and contribute to annual income and activity planning.
- Coordinate and deliver an agreed portfolio within the annual fundraising events programme, working towards agreed income, participation and activity targets.
- Identify, research and recommend opportunities to develop and diversify the Hospice’s fundraising and challenge event portfolio.
- Create and manage detailed project plans, event schedules, timelines and critical delivery milestones.
- Work with the Community & Events Fundraiser Lead to plan and deliver flagship fundraising events such as the Twilight Walk and Colour Run, taking operational responsibility for agreed events within the programme.
- Coordinate event logistics including venues, suppliers, contractors, equipment and other operational requirements, ensuring events are delivered on time and within agreed budgets.
- Develop and grow the Hospice challenge events programme, researching new opportunities and managing relationships with relevant third-party event providers.
- Recruit, engage and support event and challenge participants, providing fundraising advice, resources and encouragement to help maximise their fundraising.
- Develop strong participant stewardship and communications, ensuring supporters receive timely recognition and thanks and encouraging repeat participation and longer-term engagement.
- Identify opportunities to maximise event income and return on investment through participant fundraising, additional income opportunities and effective cost management.
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers required to support fundraising events, including rotas, briefings and appropriate event-day support.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to promote events, support participant recruitment campaigns and develop effective event communications and content.
- Monitor event budgets, income and expenditure and regularly report performance against agreed income and participation targets.
- Complete post-event evaluations, using participant feedback, financial results and performance information to make recommendations for future events.
- Complete appropriate risk assessments and ensure licences, permissions, insurance and event documentation are in place.
- Ensure events comply with relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, the Code of Fundraising Practice and Hospice policies.
- Maintain accurate participant and supporter records on the fundraising CRM and ensure information is recorded in accordance with GDPR requirements.
- Work collaboratively across the Income Generation & Communications team and support wider fundraising activity where required.
About You
- Experience & Knowledge
- Experience of successfully organising and delivering events or complex projects from initial planning through to delivery and evaluation.
- Experience of managing budgets and working towards financial or other measurable targets.
- Experience of coordinating suppliers, contractors, stakeholders or volunteers.
- Experience of managing multiple projects or events simultaneously.
- Fundraising event or challenge event experience would be advantageous.
- Experience of working within the charity or not-for-profit sector would be desirable.
- Knowledge of event health and safety, risk assessment and compliance requirements would be advantageous.
- Experience of using CRM/database systems would be desirable.

About the Role
This role leads all aspects of Foodrise’s communications, ensuring our campaigns reach key audiences, drive systemic change in the food system and achieve our new strategic goals:
- Dismantling the animal industrial complex and supporting the transition to plant-rich food
- Eroding the social licence of large supermarkets and building alternative food economies
You will develop and implement a media and communications strategy, build our media profile, oversee digital channels, and act as guardian of our brand. This includes centring communities at the heart of campaigns, building our public profile with key audiences including journalists, developing our range of allies, reflecting our understanding of historical injustice in the food system, and fostering an experimentation and learning culture. This role will also oversee all website and social media channels, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure communications are built into campaigns from the outset to enhance reach and potential.
This role would suit an experienced communications professional who is excited to think deeply about the way communications can support systemic change in the food sector. About the Role
The Parliamentary and Public Affairs Manager is a brand-new role for Foodrise. The successful candidate will lead on developing our first public and parliamentary affairs strategy to engage with political representatives and policymakers to advance our campaigning objectives and ensure progress towards our new strategic goals:
- Dismantling the animal industrial complex and supporting the transition to plant-rich food
- Eroding the social licence of large supermarkets and building alternative food economies
Ultimately, this role is about securing wins to meet our vision of a greener, fairer food system, where food is a commons, not a commodity.
This role is key to shaping public policy and legislative outcomes by building relationships, influencing decision-makers, and positioning Foodrise as an ambitious yet trusted voice in Westminster, Holyrood and amongst civil society across the UK. Job Description
Parliamentary and Public Affairs Strategy
- Develop and deliver a public affairs strategy aligned with organisational priorities and campaigns
- Identify and maximise opportunities to influence legislation, policy development, and public debate

Political Engagement & Influencing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with MPs, Peers, civil servants, special advisers, and political stakeholders

As an Operations Support Officer within SSAFA’s Glasgow’s Helping Heroes service, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of services to the Armed Forces community. The team is based in a dog friendly office at the Pearce Institute in Govan, Glasgow, with the option to work remotely one day per week after probation. GHH is a partnership between SSAFA and Glasgow City Council, delivering trusted support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families during times of need.
Our approach is trauma-informed and focused on delivering intense, holistic wraparound support. This means addressing not only housing needs but also the wider challenges that impact stability, such as mental health, financial wellbeing, and social inclusion. Every intervention is designed to reduce risk, build resilience, and empower beneficiaries to sustain long-term housing solutions.
The GHH team works closely with key partners. These include Glasgow City Homeless Casework Teams, Citizens Advice Scotland, Veterans Housing Scotland, Erskine Veterans Village, Scottish Veterans Residences, and Defence Medical Welfare Services. You also attend stakeholder events out with office hours.
About you
This is a rewarding role for someone who is organised, proactive, and compassionate, with a genuine interest in supporting the Armed Forces community. We welcome applicants with relevant experience or transferable skills who are keen to learn and make a positive difference.
You will manage your own workload while supporting the wider team to stay organised and focused on priorities. You will use good judgement and act with integrity, particularly when priorities change. You will contribute to a supportive working environment and show an understanding of the challenges involved in working with individuals in difficult or crisis situations.
You will support the coordination of complex and sensitive situations, ensuring information is accurate, shared appropriately, and followed up in a timely way. You will also provide practical support to colleagues and help maintain standards around safeguarding, data quality, and professional boundaries.
Good communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are important in this role. You will also take a practical approach to identifying simple improvements to systems and processes, helping the service to run smoothly and effectively.
Your work will help ensure people receive the right support at the right time and contribute to positive outcomes for the Armed Forces community.
