Mind The Gap Emotional Health Support offers young people an alternative way of accessing mental health support. The service offers support to young people who are struggling to find or engage with the right services. This support offer is youth-work based non-clinical support. Working primarily from Worthing Library, you will deliver face-to-face sessions using evidence-based interventions to engage, educate and empower young people around issues affecting their emotional wellbeing.

Key responsibilities: 

• Offer 7 sessions of support to each young person, including initial needs assessment and weekly sessions
• Lead on facilitation of emotional well-being and psycho-educational groups
• Support young people transitioning from specialist CAMHS/AMHS services
• Work systemically with parents/carers, educators, and health professionals
• Develop links with agencies and make appropriate referrals
• Promote service user participation and voice

We are  recruiting for a Collection Development Worker to join our team who will work with the print Commonweal Collection and, through development of a digital strategy, increase the use and visibility of the Collection. Collection Development Worker: Primary purpose of the role

To manage the Commonweal Collection, including responsibility for digital strategy, in order to provide access to resources for activist individuals and organisations, and increase nonviolent action within movements for positive social change.

Duties and responsibilitie:

The post-holder acts as the main point of contact for the Collection and is resonsible for ensuring it is is up-to-date and accessible. The intial focus of this fixed term contract is to build on work already undertaken with the print collection by scoping a digital strategy linking the Commonweal Collection to the CivilResistance.info website building on its role as a rich source of materials to inspire, support and informactivists seeking nonviolent transformative change.

• To  liaise closely with the J.B Priestley Library, including with its Special Collections archive.
• To undertake a discrete scoping project (60 hours) on integrating the work of the CivilResistance.info website and Commonweal Collection ahead of future funding and development.
• To manage, maintain and develop the physical Commonweal Collection and updating the online library management system.
• To develop and implement a digital strategy for Commonweal to ensure Commonweal resources reach national and international audiences.
• To work with the Outreach Worker to develop emotionally engaging resources on nonviolence that speak to a diversity of traditions, so that people learn practical ways to puruse change and maintain hope.
• To update the Commonweal website and its social media/online presence, including responsibility for the Commonweal blog, in collaboration with the Outreach Worker.

Purpose of This Role:

The Role

As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme; through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The Community Coordinator will work across their designated area, with the following key outcomes:

Community Coordinators build and maintain relationships between food partners and local charities by educating colleagues about their charities, promoting volunteering opportunities and maximizing the value of local relationships between charities and food partners.

As the territory owners for their areas, Community Coordinators use their local knowledge to increase the volumes and food types that their charity accounts can accept and use, to ultimately maximise the social value of food distributed through the programme.  This includes supporting charities to increase their capacity to take more chilled and frozen food, expand their services into new areas or new distribution channels and reach more members of the local community.

About the role:

Are you a dynamic, collaborative and compassionate individual with a proven track record as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system, whether in the community or in prisons?

If so, St Giles is looking for a Wonder +Link Worker (Female Only) who will be responsible for providing an initial assessment and a time-effective, whole-system support service for women within the Norfolk area who have come into contact with the Criminal Justice System. 

The service users supported by this role will be individuals facing various and multiple disadvantages, including; mental health needs, housing issues, debt, substance misuse, family and relationship issues, individuals who have suffered domestic and sexual abuse, and those at risk of offending or reoffending.  You will be required to tailor the service to meet the needs of the women on your caseload and assist in diverting them away from the Criminal Justice System.

The role will be community-based and client-led and will involve significant partnership working within the local area to enable you to offer a whole system approach to overcoming barriers and empowering the service user to make better life choices. 

You will be part of a comprehensive service delivering Wonder+ across Norfolk, representing St Giles Trust, being mindful of and promoting the organisation’s Vision, Mission, Values, and strategic aims at all times.

• Experience of working successfully with challenging people, for example, people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused. 

• Understanding of the issues faced by females involved or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system. 

• A knowledge and understanding of providing support, advice, and advocacy to vulnerable clients and the ability to communicate this knowledge in a variety of ways. 

• Ability to assess clients’ needs and provide client-led support. 

• Ability to calculate risk and implement safety procedures when engaging with clients in the community.

• A good understanding of Safeguarding.

• An understanding of rural issues and working across the region in isolated communities. Candidates must be willing to work flexibly and travel across the county as needed. 

• The ability to use monitoring systems to record all aspects of the project, including actions, outcomes, and referrals, and demonstrate achievement of targets. 

• The flexibility to work some early mornings and evenings and travel (where necessary) throughout the region and occasional travel to head office for relevant training.

The Role

The Advice Team Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day support and line management of a team of advisers and caseworkers. This includes for example 1-2-1s, appraisals, mentoring, return to work interviews and generally ensuring that workers feel supported and enabled in their roles. 

The postholder will also help to ensure that service delivery meets appropriate quality standards, and provide some duty supervisor cover on a Rota and ‘as and when’ basis. The post will suit someone who has an advice background, but is keen to use their skills in a management capacity.

This is a new role for us here at Citizens Advice Southampton. We are seeking to take some of the day-to-day pressures off our Service Manager, allowing him to focus on more strategic and developmental tasks. 

We are a flexible, collaborative and supportive team, and the postholder will be able to make this role ‘their own’.

About You
