The Grants and Trusts Manager will play a vital role in growing income from Charitable Trusts, Foundations, and Statutory funding by identifying new funding opportunities, developing compelling, high-quality funding applications, and delivering excellent stewardship. This role will support Lakeland Arts’ artistic, heritage, learning, and engagement programmes across our sites in the Lake District including Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house, Abbot Hall art gallery, and Windermere Jetty Museum. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop strong, place-based cases for support aligned with the charity’s strategic priorities. Key Responsibilities Trusts, Foundations & Statutory Fundraising • Identify, research, and qualify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies – including Arts Council England - to support the conservation of our artistic, heritage, learning, and engagement activity. • Lead on writing and submitting high-quality funding applications, securing both unrestricted income and project-specific funding aligned with Lakeland Arts’ strategy. • Develop compelling proposals that clearly articulate the significance of our extensive collections, the benefit of public access to these and the value of our heritage, and community impact, using evaluation data, audience insight, and partnership testimonials. • Maintain ownership of a proactive and balanced funding pipeline, ensuring prospects are thoughtfully approached and progressed through the fundraising cycle. Stewardship, Reporting & Relationship Management • Steward a balanced portfolio of funders, building strong, long-term relationships through regular communication and engagement opportunities (including site visits where appropriate), while complying with funding agreements. • Maintain a clear calendar of applications, reports, renewals, and deadlines, ensuring all funder requirements are met to a high standard and on time. • Produce clear, engaging funder reports that demonstrate impact, successful financial management, and agreed outcomes. Internal Collaboration & Funding Priorities • Work collaboratively with colleagues across curatorial, participation & learning, conservation workshop, visitor experience, finance, and leadership teams to shape strong, well-informed funding bids. • Proactively gather information to ensure funding proposals reflect current and emerging organisational priorities. • Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture that values shared learning and cross-departmental working. Data, Systems & Performance Management • Use CRM systems to accurately record fundraising activity, funder communications, deadlines, and outcomes. • Track and analyse fundraising performance against income targets and KPIs, contributing to internal reporting, forecasting, and strategy reviews. • Ensure compliance with fundraising best practice, data protection, charity law, and internal policies and procedures. Representation & Wider Development Activity • Act as a confident and knowledgeable ambassador for Lakeland Arts, representing the charity at funder meetings, networking events, and sector committees. • Support wider development activity, including campaigns, events, and partnership work as required. • Provide administrative and project support to the Development team when needed. The service provides mild‑to‑moderate mental health support for children and young people aged 2–24 years living in Brighton & Hove.

We’re looking for accredited professionals from a CWP, EMHP or similar background, with proven experience delivering low‑intensity CBT interventions.

In this role you will be working with children and young people with ADHD and/or Autism, where neurodivergence is diagnosed or suspected, and presentations are mild to moderate. This is a low‑intensity, first‑line CBT offer, delivered through in‑person sessions and/or group work.

Key responsibilities include triaging referrals, completing wellbeing assessments, and delivering short‑term, evidence‑based treatment.

About you

You will have solid experience of delivering evidence-based, short term low-intervention therapy to Children and Young People (8-24) in a community setting. Along with substantive experience of working with Children and Young People (8-24) with suspected or diagnosed Neurodivergent conditions (ADHD and Autism).

You will already be accredited or eligible for accreditation under HCPC, BACP, BABCP, UKCP, BPS, PTUK or AFSP.

You are a strong team player, confident working under supervision, and able to safeguard young people while running groups or structured activities. You can communicate complex information clearly both verbally and in writing, while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team. 

A teaching or training qualification (e.g. Level 3 AET) would be an advantage, along with experience of delivering training groups.

We’re looking for someone to build missionally on the existing foundations of our youth project which has been running for around 8 years. You will be an important part of an innovative youth project, with opportunities for vibrant missional outreach, making use of our excellent facilities including a fully equipped youth centre (details are available in the accompanying booklet). JOB DESCRIPTION

Overall responsibility of the job:

Duties will vary from week to week, but essentially responsibilities will include the following:

●  Oversee all areas of ministry to the rising generation (0-18 year olds) within the church and local community, including holding the overall vision of vibrant missional outreach, making innovative use of our excellent facilities.

●  Manage and support our youth team including Pais Apprentices, Ministry Exchange Scheme students and volunteers.

●  Engage with local secondary and primary schools through assemblies, Youth Alpha sessions and pastoral visits, building on strong existing relationships.

●  Oversee the rising generation budget and engage with the
fundraising team to seek funding opportunities to enable an excellent youth provision.

●  Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested by the Rector.

General Duties:

●  Find and initiate innovative ways of engaging with children, young people and their families both within the local community and those already engaged with church.

●  Work with the Rector, PCC and rising generation team in growing the St Peter’s vision and strategy for reaching children and young people in our local community and helping them grow as followers of Jesus.

●  Plan and run a range of different activities and projects for children and young people in the St Peter’s Community and Youth Hub.

●  Use Churchsuite to maintain accurate records of children and young people who participate in youth activities.

Schools Work

●  Building on our excellent relationships with local schools, visit local primary and secondary schools regularly and lead acts of worship within them, liasing with the Rector and the schools directly.

●  Lead lunchtime and/or after school activities in schools, including expanding the use of our bespoke Youth Alpha materials.

●  Assist in providing chaplaincy as requested within the local schools and seek opportunities to grow mission.

●  Work collaboratively with the Children’s and Youth Team, including Pais Apprentices and Guildford Diocese Ministry Exchange Scheme team members when applicable.

Safeguarding

●  Oversee the Children’s and Youth Ministry in a way that follows National Safeguarding Guidelines.

We are looking to recruit a Support and Advocacy Practitioner to provide high-quality, personalised support to young people in our Supported Accommodation service.  Bringing a resident-focused mindset, this role provides an exciting opportunity for you to work collaboratively to help the Centre’s residents build independence, develop life skills and move on successfully. Working as part of a team, the postholder will contribute to the day-to-day running of a 24/7 service, providing day and evening cover including weekends on a rota system.

Interim Senior FP&A Manager

Location: Thame (Oxfordshire) with hybrid working (minimum, 2 days per week in the office) and occasional travel
Contract: Interim, Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2027

Affinity Trust is looking for an experienced Interim Senior FP&A Manager to bring senior finance capacity, challenge and insight across a complex, multi-site organisation.

This is not a routine reporting role. We are looking for someone who can quickly get under the skin of operational performance, understand the financial drivers behind service delivery, and help senior leaders make better, faster and more informed decisions.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance, Finance Business Partners, Divisional Directors and operational leaders, providing high-quality analysis, forecasting, commercial insight and constructive challenge. The work will span income, workforce costs, agency and overtime spend, utilisation, fee rates, contract performance, forecasting assumptions and recovery planning.

This is a senior individual contributor role, adding experienced capacity where it is most needed, to help maintain pace across key priorities, and strengthen the link between financial insight and operational action.

The assignment

You will be joining at a point where strong financial planning, clear analysis and senior business partnering are critical to supporting sustainable services.

Your work will include:

• Leading robust forecasting and scenario modelling across a complex operational portfolio
• Providing senior finance business partnering to divisional and operational leaders
• Analysing key cost drivers, particularly workforce-related costs such as agency, overtime, sickness and staffing ratios
• Reviewing income, fee rates, local authority funding assumptions, utilisation and contract performance
• Supporting tenders, contract reviews, business cases and service sustainability analysis
• Helping identify whether financial pressure is driven by fee levels, operational delivery, workforce deployment or a combination of factors
• Translating complex financial information into clear insight, options and practical recommendations
• Supporting the head of finance and wider finance team with additional senior capacity during a period of increased demand.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent, and substantial experience in senior FP&A, finance business partnering or commercial finance roles.

You will be confident working with senior stakeholders and able to bring both grip and judgement. You will know how to challenge assumptions constructively, explain complex financial information clearly, and turn analysis into action.

You are likely to have worked in a complex, multi-site or operationally demanding environment, where financial performance is closely linked to workforce planning, contract income, service delivery and operational decision-making.

You will bring:

• Strong FP&A, forecasting, modelling and management reporting experience
• Advanced Excel and analytical capability
• Credibility with senior operational and finance stakeholders
• Experience supporting budgeting, reforecasting, recovery planning and performance improvement
• The ability to work at pace, prioritise well and operate with a high level of autonomy
• A practical, commercial and solutions-focused approach.

Experience in social care, healthcare, supported living, charity or not-for-profit settings would be helpful, but is not essential. Experience with Local Authority funding, high-volume staffing models, workforce cost pressures or interim turnaround environments would be particularly valuable.

About the role

As a Regional Corporate Partnership Development Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Corporate Partnership team, playing an essential role in building the capability, confidence and consistency of Fundraising Managers across the UK.

This role is all about empowering others to secure and grow high value corporate partnerships. Drawing on your own experience of winning and managing £50k+ partnerships, you’ll coach Fundraising Managers through the full corporate sales cycle from pipeline development and proposition shaping, to pitching, negotiation, contracting and stewardship.

You’ll design and deliver training, embed best practice processes, and create practical toolkits that strengthen regional corporate fundraising. You’ll also support account management activity, helping Fundraising Managers deliver excellent stewardship, renewal strategies and long term growth for existing partners.

As our ideal candidate, you bring strong experience of securing high value corporate partnerships and a strong understanding of what excellent corporate fundraising looks like. You’ve personally identified opportunities, shaped propositions, pitched to senior decision makers and successfully closed significant partnerships.

Just as importantly, you have a coaching mindset. You enjoy and have experience developing others, sharing your expertise and helping Fundraising Managers build their confidence and capability.

You bring:

• Proven experience winning high value corporate partnerships, with a strong track record of achieving financial targets while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• End to end sales cycle expertise, from identifying opportunities and shaping propositions to pitching, negotiating, contracting and onboarding partners, supported by strong organisational skills.
• Coaching and capability building skills with experience training, mentoring or upskilling colleagues to improve confidence and performance, ensuring teams stay structured and focused.
• Strong communication and presentation ability, confident engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Creative and commercially minded thinker, generating innovative, viable ideas that strengthen partnership outcomes and are delivered through clear planning and structured execution.

Working arrangements

This is 12 month fixed term contract.

This is a field-based role covering the UK. You'll need to live in England or be able to relocate to this region. This role requires regular travel within England, and occasional travel to other parts of the UK. A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

As a key member of the Trusts & Grants team, The Trusts & Grants Fundraiser will work closely with the Trusts & Grants Manager to raise funds from a portfolio of charitable trusts in accordance with Child Bereavement UK’s budgets and targets.

Initiative, creativity, excellent organization and writing skills are required, together with the ability to develop persuasive proposals and nurture effective relationships with key stakeholders across Child Bereavement UK and externally.

This role comes at a particularly important time for CBUK when the charity is looking to evolve and grow services, diversify into new areas, and raise significant funds for ongoing work. The Trusts & Grants Team are a vital part of the charity’s expansion into new areas, and the post-holder will have the opportunity to work with frontline staff to develop new projects and bids.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership

• Create timely and compelling bespoke proposals and applications to charitable and corporate trusts, Lotteries and Government bodies.
• Develop and deliver to donor care plans to provide excellent supporter care to trust funders; aim to involve supporters in the achievement of the Child Bereavement UK mission and maximise the value and longevity of their support – providing accurate and informative reports and invitations to project visits and events where appropriate.
• Support in the development of new case for support and project documents; work with front-line staff to develop new bids and budgets.
• Keep up to date with Child Bereavement UK’s work, key priorities and future plans to effectively match with supporters’ interests and identify opportunities for support.
• Contribute to the Trusts and Grants annual business planning process as well as monthly planning and budget reforecasting.
• Undertake rigorous identification of prospective grant funders and detailed research into strong leads (through desktop research and face to face/virtual networking).
• Work closely with colleagues in other areas of fundraising and other departments across the charity, as well as volunteers and supporters to build strong working relationships and maximise cross selling opportunities.
• Ensure the effective management of all relevant information, including maintaining accurate information for prospects and donors on the charity’s database (Sales Force).
• Utilise a range of internal work and planning tools to ensure bids are of a good quality, relationships are maintained, and internal stakeholders are included in any decisions.
• Develop personal knowledge of trust fundraising, including completing relevant training and regularly reviewing relevant press and publications from relevant organisations.
