About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join IRMO as our Youth Project Coordinator and lead the Latin American Youth Forum (LAYF) – IRMO’s youth-led group for migrant and refugee young people aged 13–19.

LAYF offers a safe, supportive and trilingual space (Spanish, Portuguese and English) where young people can overcome barriers and begin to find their feet in the UK. Activities are designed to build confidence, support integration and foster leadership. Through the programme, participants can learn English through fun and engaging ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes, take part in weekly educational, arts-based and themed workshops, and receive one-to-one support through a targeted coaching programme focused on education, volunteering and employment.

Young people also have the opportunity to join the LAYF Youth Steering Group, where they can develop leadership skills and inspire other Spanish and Portuguese-speaking young people, while exploring London and beyond through cultural trips and residentials.

As Youth Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for registering and onboarding new participants, designing and delivering a creative weekly programme of LAYF Space Workshops, and offering one-to-one mentoring to help young people access opportunities and build confidence. You’ll work closely with IRMO’s ESOL and Advice and Advocacy teams to ensure a joined-up and holistic approach.

This is a varied role that requires empathy, creativity and excellent organisational skills. You will play a key part in ensuring all activities are inclusive, engaging and safe, while monitoring progress and capturing the achievements of the young people involved. You’ll also be a positive role model, helping each participant realise their potential and feel empowered in their journey.

LAYF is delivered as part of Building Young Brixton (BYB), a consortium of ten Lambeth-based organisations working together to inspire and empower young people in the borough. Partnership working is central to the LAYF ethos, and the Youth Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with BYB partners to co-create activities, share skills and strengthen impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and register LAYF participants by assessing individual needs and matching them with appropriate activities

• Plan, co-produce and deliver a dynamic and engaging programme of LAYF activities – from arts and sport to inspirational talks – designed to build young people’s confidence, life skills and social connection

• Coach and support young people to thrive in their education and personal development through a targeted one-to-one coaching programme

• Plan and deliver quarterly trips and events that promote peer interaction and engagement with the local community

• Signpost and refer young people to relevant services at IRMO, BYB or other external partners

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including registration forms, attendance, surveys, feedback, session plans and coaching logs

• Input and manage baseline and progress data using IRMO’s database and monitoring tools

• Produce compelling case studies and success stories to share with young people, funders and supporters

• Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all participants, following IRMO’s safeguarding policies and National Youth Agency (NYA) guidance

• Communicate with LAYF participants and families in a timely and appropriate way, respecting boundaries and overcoming communication barriers

• Promote LAYF activities through newsletters, social media and IRMO’s communications channels

• Represent LAYF and IRMO in meetings and forums with partners, funders and youth sector networks

• Work closely with IRMO colleagues to ensure the wider needs of young people and families are supported holistically

• Recruit, supervise and support LAYF volunteers

Antenatal Family Support Coordinator

Do you have midwifery experience, antenatal education experience or professional knowledge of pregnancy, birth preparation and early parenthood?

We are looking for a Family Support Coordinator to support families from pregnancy through the early years.

Position: Antenatal Family Support Coordinator

Location: Stroud & Gloucester /Hybrid (covering office, family hubs and community sessions)

The Role

You will deliver the core support offer, including home visiting, 1:1 support, group work and volunteer-supported family support. You will also lead delivery of the Bump antenatal programme, helping expectant parents prepare for birth, early parenthood and the transition to family life.

In this role, you will:

• Support families during pregnancy, early parenthood and the early years
• Provide practical, emotional and educational support to expectant parents
• Help parents prepare for birth, baby care and the transition to parenthood
• Support early attachment, bonding, infant development and parental confidence
• Manage a caseload of families with different levels of need
• Work with and support trained Home-Start volunteers

This is a non-clinical role. You will not be providing medical advice or clinical care, but you will use your knowledge and experience to support parents, strengthen early family relationships, and help the team respond confidently to pregnancy-related needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who understands pregnancy, birth preparation, early parenthood and the emotional realities of becoming a parent.

You may have worked as a midwife, maternity support worker, antenatal educator, early year’s practitioner, family support worker, health-related practitioner, or in another relevant role supporting families during pregnancy and the early years.

You will bring:

• Experience or strong knowledge of antenatal support, pregnancy and early parenthood
• Confidence delivering group sessions or antenatal education
• Good understanding of early attachment, infant development and postnatal adjustment
• Awareness of perinatal mental health and the impact of trauma, stress and isolation
• Experience supporting families during pregnancy, birth preparation or early parenthood
• Experience delivering group-based support, education or facilitation
• Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

This is a non-clinical family support role. You will not provide medical advice, diagnosis, clinical maternity care or infant feeding clinical support. Where families need specialist health, maternity, mental health or safeguarding support, the postholder will follow procedures and signpost or escalate appropriately.

The Greater Manchester Women’s Support Alliance (GMWSA) is looking for a passionate and motivated Link Worker to support women who have experienced multiple recalls to custody and are preparing for release from HMP Styal.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist, women-centred organisation committed to delivering trauma-responsive, gender-specific support to women facing multiple disadvantage.

Working directly with women in custody, you will support them to overcome barriers to successful resettlement, reconnect with services in their local communities, and build the foundations for a more stable future.

About the Role

As the HMP Styal Link Worker, you will provide one-to-one support to women from Greater Manchester who have been recalled to custody. Many of the women you will work with will have experienced trauma, domestic abuse, poor mental health, homelessness, substance misuse, family separation, and other complex challenges.

You will:

• Build trusting relationships with women whilst they are in custody.
• Assess individual needs and develop person-centred support plans.
• Support women to prepare for release and reintegration into their communities.
• Link women into local Women’s Centres, housing providers, and specialist support services.
• Work closely with prison staff, probation, housing providers and community organisations.
• Provide practical and emotional support before and immediately after release where required.
• Advocate on behalf of women to ensure they can access the services and support they need.

This role requires someone who can combine empathy, resilience and strong professional boundaries while working in a challenging but highly rewarding environment.

About the role

This is a part-time, permanent role (14 hours per week) that sits at the heart of LAH's operations and administration. As our Bookkeeper, you will ensure our financial records are accurate, our compliance obligations are met, and our senior team has the reliable information they need to make good decisions.

Day to day, you will process invoices and payments, reconcile bank accounts, prepare records for our annual audit, manage our income tracking across all programmes, and support payroll administration, all using Xero. You will report directly to the Director and work closely with the wider team.

This is not a back-office role at a distance from our mission. You will be on-site with us, part of the team, and your work will be visible and valued.

What we are looking for

You will bring at least two years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in the voluntary sector, alongside a relevant accounting qualification (IAB, AAT or equivalent). You will be confident with accounting software (we use Xero), have a strong eye for detail, and be able to work independently while being a genuine team player.

Just as importantly, you will have an understanding of and commitment to the communities we serve, and you will bring that commitment to everything you do.

As Membership Development Executive, you’ll play a key supporting role in driving membership growth by engaging with individuals and organisations and helping them navigate their journey into membership.

Working closely with the Senior Membership Development Manager, you’ll support the delivery of membership initiatives, manage enquiries, and build strong relationships with prospective members and partner organisations.

You will use Now Foster’s digital platform (a bespoke CRM system) to manage the candidate journey, track progress, record key information and help the team understand where applicants are getting stuck or moving forward. You will play an important role in making sure we are attracting the right leads, supporting them well, and learning how to improve the journey as we grow.

This role would particularly suit someone with experience of fostering or working in fostering. It could also suit someone from a related background who is deeply motivated by innovation in this area and excited by what fostering could look like if it were designed around children, carers and relationships.

You do not need to be a qualified social worker, but you do need to be emotionally mature, reflective, organised and comfortable working closely with a social work-led team. You will need to understand safeguarding, and be confident holding thoughtful conversations with prospective carers.

Working Pattern and Location

This role is offered at 4 to 5 days per week, with a salary of £34,000 pro rata.

The role can be based anywhere in England, with occasional travel to our Weekender delivery areas. Our Weekenders team is currently based across London and Manchester, and our wider organisational team is based in Oxford. Most work will be home-based, but there will be some in-person meetings, events, training sessions or bi-monthly co-working days.

The role will involve some work outside standard office hours. This is likely to include:

• Around one weekend day per month, which you would take back as time off during the previous or following week.

The Alliance

The Sexual Violence Alliance is comprised of seven organisations (The four London Rape Crisis Centres, Galop, Survivors UK, and Respond) working together to provide comprehensive support to victim/survivors of sexual violence across London. The alliance model enables us to draw on each member’s expertise and provide all victims/survivors with the specific care that is tailored to their needs. Navigators sit within each organisation in The Alliance and work alongside one another to support survivors of sexual violence.

As this is a new role, we anticipate that the remit of the role will likely adapt in response to the support needs that are presented by service users and service delivery. We expect the post holder to contribute to the development of this role.   

The role of a Rapid Response ISVA is to provide advocacy, practical, and emotional support to survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence, recent or historic. You will also ensure that survivors are aware of their rights, options, and entitlements, and support them through any stage of the criminal justice system.  

The post holder will ensure a quality service is provided to survivors by covering cases at short notice and providing support for those that are not able to access immediate ISVA support. You will ensure that timely advice is provided to survivors on the waiting list.

About the Investment team

The Investment team is responsible for selecting portfolio partners, managing our charity investments and supporting our portfolio partners to improve and scale their impact. 

The Investment team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles. 

The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.   

The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in school engagement, school attainment and employment sectors) and an Impact Lead. Sector Leads line manage 6 Investment Directors between them. Investment Directors line manage Investment Managers (currently 7). Investment Directors and Investment Managers tend to primarily focus on a sector but might have mixed portfolios, depending on need, experience and interest. 

The Investment team has a good track record of role progression. All four Leads and a number of our Investment Directors were promoted from within the team.

​Key responsibilities
Finding high potential charities and non-profit partners for our portfolio 

• Identifying potential charitable organisations for investment.
• Leading and delivering in-depth due diligence process within the scope of a grant round, to assess and build partnership foundations with potential partners – covering leadership and governance, and their impact, scale, and partnership potential.
• Modelling from first contact of origination, our approach to engaged and trust-based investment management support.
• Developing and presenting high quality investment propositions to our Investment Committee.

Managing partnerships with portfolio partners​

• ​Managing relationships with partner Chairs and CEOs. 
• Agreeing Service Funding Agreements, including appropriate annual investment milestones to allow for a clear assessment of re-investment potential at end of phase. 
• Regularly monitoring and assessing partner progress / risks against milestones and making evidence-based recommendations on progression or exit to Leads, Portfolio Director and the Investment Committee.
• Escalating key risks on performance, leadership and safeguarding.   
• Conducting annual partnership reviews with Sector Leads and partner CEOs.
• Working with Impetus finance colleagues to ensure timely distribution of grant payments, in line with Service Funding Agreements.  

Supporting portfolio partners  ​

• ​Providing high quality advisory support to CEOs and senior colleagues on key strategic topics, using a mix of at least monthly one-to-one meetings and group facilitation to: 

• clarify theory of change
• ​define long term ambition
• ​develop growth strategy 
• ​achieve a step change in the delivery and performance management of outcomes 
• ​strengthen leadership (individual and collective) and governance capabilities
• ​develop path to scale
• ​build financial resilience

• ​Scoping and project managing pro bono capacity-building projects (in addition to providing direct management support). Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and contribute to charity progression.
• Identifying engagement opportunities for our donors and supporters with portfolio partners that are aligned with the partner’s activities and do not distract or undermine their core work.
• Collaborating with the Impetus Philanthropy team to support the development of additional funding opportunities for portfolio partners, enhancing their ability to deliver impact at scale.
• Effectively leveraging the support of investment managers to advance the objectives developed for each portfolio partner that is managed by an Investment Director.

Support to Impetus

• Developing expertise about “what works” in the sector through cultivation and use of expert input and engagement as well as investigation into key research and evaluative literature.
• Contributing insights and learning from portfolio work to inform Impetus’ strategy, model and delivery, providing evidence based recommendations to senior colleagues
• Contributing to internal priorities and working groups, bringing expertise and insight from portfolio work (e.g. team strategy discussions, digital improvement initiatives, or equity, diversity, and inclusion).
• Contribute towards Impetus’ public affairs and philanthropy objectives through input into case studies, research and policy campaigns, donor reports and fundraising events.
• Sharing the learning from our work across the team, across the organisation and externally working within Impetus strategy and agreed forums.
• Engaging in Impetus pro bono, communications, and advocacy events, and engage portfolio partners appropriately in these events. 
• Line-manage and support one or more Investment Managers, setting clear objectives and providing coaching, feedback and development opportunities to enable them to deliver high quality work and achieve their individual, project and team goals
