Job description

Building Safety Resident Liaison Officer
Hours:
Full-time
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday 9am - 5pm
Location: ISHA, 102 Blackstock Road, Finsbury Park, N4 2DR
Salary: £38,188 per annum
Contract: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for the exciting role of Building Safety Resident Liaison Officer, a key role supporting resident engagement, communication, and coordination across building safety, remediation, and wider compliance activity.

In addition to supporting the successful delivery of remediation and safety improvement works, you will help deliver ISHA’s Resident Engagement Strategy for HRBs by maintaining regular communication with residents, supporting consultation activity, gathering feedback, and helping residents understand how building and fire safety arrangements affect them.

Working closely with the Head of Building Safety, Building Safety Manager, Housing, Development, and contractor partners, you will also support the coordination of resident support information, including assistance with PEEPs or equivalent resident support processes in line with ISHA policy, and help ensure ISHA meets its duties under the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and associated regulations while maintaining a strong resident focus.

About ISHA

We are a small but ambitious housing association at a critical juncture. Our ambition is for the communities we are anchored in and exist to serve, and we have done and achieved much over the past few years. But in these challenging times, we know we’ll achieve nothing unless we are equally ambitious for our own people.

Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions. We strive to build a more diverse organisation, where everyone feels empowered to bring and be their best self to work.

Staff Benefits

We’ll offer you a generous pension scheme (up to 10% employer matched contributions and a death in service benefit), 29 days annual leave (increasing after five years’ service), eye care vouchers, a cycle to work scheme, and other great benefits. We have an evolving wellbeing offer that is being developed following employee feedback, and we will invest in your professional development with ongoing training and career development opportunities.

We can’t be a brilliant landlord if we don’t partner with brilliant colleagues. Could you be one of them?

If this sounds exciting, we want you on our team. Please do submit a completed application

Inclusion and Diversity

We want ISHA to be a great place to work and to ensure that our communities are represented across our workforce. A vital part of this is ensuring we are a truly inclusive organisation that encourages diversity in all respects, including diversity of thinking. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and those of Other Ethnicities, LGBTQ+, disabled and neurodiverse communities to make a real difference to our residents so that passionate commitment to customers, respect for everyone, pride in Team ISHA and trusted to make the difference remains at the heart of everything we do.

Deadline: 9am Tuesday, 4th August 2026
Interview: Week commencing 10 August 2026

(a) Why do you feel you’re a strong fit for this role, with reference to the job description and person specification.

(b) Tell us about a time you supported residents through disruptive works, a safety issue, or a sensitive housing matter. How did you communicate with residents, manage concerns, and help achieve a positive outcome?

(c) What motivates you most about working in building safety and compliance within social housing, particularly in a role that helps residents understand safety measures, planned works, and their impact?
