Job purpose
This role serves as a liaison for the BDA’s specialist group, sub-group and branch volunteer communities. Working closely with colleagues across the BDA, the role ensures a high level of support, maintenance and development of the organisation’s member led networks.
The role supports the work of the membership, marketing and communications team to coordinate activity and projects that promote the work of member volunteers and the wider volunteer programme.
In collaboration with the Volunteer Manager, the role supports and coordinates volunteer activity, providing advice, training and guidance to member volunteers as required. It is also responsible for developing, maintaining and managing strong relationships with stakeholders to drive engagement and enhance services for members.
The role acts as essential support to colleagues and works effectively across the MMC team and the wider organisation.

Salford CVS is recruiting a Volunteering Development Worker (Women and Girls in Football) to lead our work in increasing the participation of women and girls in off-pitch volunteering roles across grassroots football in Salford. This new role has been created in alignment with The FA’s priorities to strengthen inclusive volunteer pathways and ensure club and league environments are welcoming, supportive and accessible for female volunteers.
The main purpose of the post is to increase the number of female volunteers in off-pitch roles across grassroots football in Salford by supporting clubs, leagues, sessional football providers and community groups to create, promote and sustain inclusive volunteer opportunities. The role will coordinate learning and development for volunteers, help organisations understand their volunteer needs, and strengthen their capacity to recruit, retain and recognise women and girls in volunteering.
You will use Salford CVS’s established volunteering expertise to support England Accredited clubs, leagues and sessional football providers to attract, recruit and retain more female volunteers. This includes addressing known barriers such as lack of visible role models, sex-based discrimination, childcare demands that fall disproportionately on women, limited flexibility and traditional recruitment practices that may favour men.
Working in connection with our Volunteer Centre and wider Active Communities teams, you will join a service that already supports hundreds of organisations to develop safe and high-quality volunteering opportunities, matches hundreds of residents to roles, and delivers a wide range of volunteering training and good-practice guidance. The role will involve building strong relationships with clubs and leagues, engaging women and girls through targeted outreach in multiple settings (for example, community events, education environments, VCSE spaces, etc.), supporting grassroots clubs to understand their volunteer needs and barriers, and developing sustainable volunteer plans that help address these. The Network Engagement Officer is responsible for growing the community through recruiting and onboarding new members and ensuring high levels of engagement across the diversity of the community through writing and scheduling regular communications to them via email and LinkedIn and delivering an engaging content series to help them collectively improve their outreach, as well as tracking their participation across activity.

We’re seeking a Fundraising Officer to support the growth of all our programmes, services, and campaigns. Primarily working on a new area of trusts and foundations fundraising, including researching prospects. The fundraising team is responsible for income generation including donors, campaigns, grants, and exploring new ways we can sustain and grow our fundraising. This includes planning and leading giving campaigns; donor and funder stewardship (working with the Chief Executive’s Office); developing and maintaining an income pipeline; and identifying new opportunities to diversify our income streams.
Key Tasks & Activities
Implementing and further developing Humanists UK’s grants, trusts, and foundations fundraising strategy, with key tasks including:
Researching new funding prospects
Maintaining and growing our funding pipeline.
Supporting colleagues across the organisation to develop, bid for, and report on appropriate projects for funding
Writing clear and compelling funding bids, proposals, and appeals, and produce timely, high-quality reports for funders

You would undertake research to identify new potential funding partners, write grant applications, and manage successful partnerships.
