ILPA is a charity and professional membership body working to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law. Our training programme is a core part of our work and one of our largest income streams. We deliver over 60 courses and conferences a year to an average of 2,000 practitioners across the UK, supporting lawyers, caseworkers, advisers and organisations working with migrants.
The Training Manager will not directly teach any training content but will run this programme end to end, ensuring all trainings and events are delivered professionally, to a high standard. Purpose of role
We are looking for an exceptional programme leader to help us achieve our ten-year ambition. The Director of Programme Delivery leads Lumos' global programme portfolio, ensuring the organisation delivers high-quality and impactful programmes that contribute to sustainable systems change for children and families. The role is responsible for translating organisational strategy into effective delivery, strengthening programme quality and performance, and supporting Country Directors in achieving measurable results.
The postholder will also lead the continued evolution of Lumos' programme delivery model, strengthening localisation and national leadership, building organisational learning and evidence, and developing innovative approaches that extend Lumos' impact and influence beyond traditional country office structures.
Reporting to the Chief Programmes and Advocacy Officer, the role provides strategic and operational leadership across Lumos' global programme portfolio.

You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery of management accounts, budgeting and reporting. Alongside this, you’ll bring an active Christian faith, playing a full part in the spiritual life of the organisation and working sensitively with people of all backgrounds.
