As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will take lead when the Community Shop Manager is away, ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent customer service. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework, working within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.
You’ll have excellent leadership skills and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally, you’ll have previous fashion retail experience with the ability to manage and lead the store in the absence of the Community Shop Manager (CSM).
Reporting into the CSM and working closely with the Retail Regional Manager you will aid in supporting your store to run efficiently and deliver a positive financial contribution to the Hospice.
The estate includes 26 shops and e-commerce operation with a turnover of approx. £3.5million which supports the overall income generation strategy.

About You:

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, engage, and cultivate new funding partnerships that are aligned to WAGGGS vision, purpose, and programme offer ensuring a strong and well-managed pipeline of new and qualified prospects.
- Work cross-departmentally to develop and write high-quality and compelling funding and partnership proposals with a strong case for support, ensuring they are deliverable, measurable, accurately costed, and aligned to WAGGGS strategic priorities.

Jangala is seeking an ambitious and strategic Fundraising Manager to sustain and grow our income from trusts, foundations and corporate partners. This is a hands-on role for an experienced fundraiser who enjoys translating complex work into compelling funding propositions and building strong relationships with supporters. Leading a pipeline of UK and global trusts and foundations and other grantmakers, including researching and cultivating new opportunities, developing proposals, coordinating internal inputs and submitting high-quality bids

The person we're looking for

Role overview:

The Development and Delivery Manager (Projects) is a new role for the charity. You will work with a small and growing team, who are passionate about our mission and vision. You will also work with our members (leaders of children’s public library and School Library Service leaders) and sector partners.

Job purpose
To lead and deliver a range priority projects and funding bids for the charity.
The purpose of the role includes:
- To scope and deliver a range of projects to support both organisational and sector developments.

Our Devon centre has a wonderful group of dedicated people with varying skills that meld into one team with one mission: to help as many pets as possible. We help pets through our two main services, Home Direct and our fostering network of over 80 volunteer foster carers.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring exceptional care for both pets and clients while making well-connected, efficient decisions that prioritise pet welfare. As the leader of our home-based pet operations, you’ll oversee the smooth running of daily activities, acting as the subject matter expert in practical animal handling and assessment. Your goal will be to prepare pets for adoption as quickly and effectively as possible. You’ll work closely with your team to ensure timely pet assessments, behaviour management, and training, while providing full support to foster carers.
You’ll also be responsible for achieving pet-related targets, ensuring your team of Pet Welfare Assistants and Foster Coordinator's maintains the highest standards of animal care and adheres to national processes in case management. Since we don’t have cattery or kennel facilities, innovation and teamwork are essential to address the most urgent cases effectively.
Motivating and managing your team is central to this role, enabling the centre to provide top-quality home-based pet care while helping your team develop professionally.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week and you will be required to work 1 in 3 weekends.

About the Role
As Estate Manager you will act as the primary point of contact for IDS residents across a defined patch of properties covering multiple tenures. You will play a key role in building strong relationships with residents and ensuring estates are well managed and responsive to community needs.
You will engage with residents to co create neighbourhood and estate plans, helping to develop sustainable and thriving communities while delivering a high standard of customer service and supporting estate improvements and resident engagement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Co create and deliver Neighbourhood and Estate Plans with residents to improve housing services, environments and customer satisfaction
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and contractors to remove service barriers and ensure high service performance and compliance including building safety
- Manage tenancy related matters, responding to resident queries, supporting complaint investigations and completing viewings and sign ups for new residents
- Conduct property visits, estate inspections and fire door safety checks ensuring issues are identified and resolved
- Lead on anti social behaviour case management and build strong relationships with residents, associations and local stakeholders
- Oversee estate services and communal repairs, manage service contracts and provide tenancy sustainment support including guidance on benefits and welfare
About You
You will demonstrate a flexible, proactive and customer focused approach to your work. You will have around 2 to 3 years experience within a registered social housing provider, charity or local authority setting.
Essential skills and experience include:
- Experience supporting vulnerable or older residents including the ability to assess needs and identify potential risks
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to deliver sustainable housing and tenancy solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and make confident, well informed decisions
