As Deputy Programme Director, you will play a key role in the leadership, delivery and ongoing development of the MSc Psychology and Trauma (Child & Adolescent) programme, working closely with the Programme Director to ensure students receive a high-quality learning experience and that the programme meets UCL academic standards and objectives.

What you'll do:
- Ensure all live and test application environments are maintained in compliance with Look Ahead's IT policies and guidelines to meet business needs by working with colleagues and the Business Systems Manager to manage system security and coordinate system changes, patch installations, database copies and upgrades, as applicable.
- Provide application configuration, support, and administration for Nourish (Care plans) and Camascope (eMARS), and cover for other key business systems including MHR's iTrent (Recruitment, HR & Payroll), Cx (Housing Management & Customer Support Plans), OnTrack (Domestic Abuse) and any other applications and products being deployed through the Digital Transformation programme.
- Act as the subject matter expert and coordination point for Nourish and Camascope specific support activities, including updating support tickets and associated details and responses via the ticketing system.
- Manage ticket and incident escalations, as appropriate.
- Support the application owners, business users and team members with the building and running of reports from Nourish and Camascope when required for urgent organisation needs, such as regulator requirements or responding to serious incidents.

Who are we?
The Outrunners are a running charity based in Hackney, on a mission to empower young people through movement. Backed by an incredible crew of volunteers and partner brands like Nike and Moju, we help young people in East London to build confidence, wellbeing, health and leadership skills.
We deliver free, fun, sociable, youth‑led running and movement sessions for 8–18 year olds every week - during term time and holidays. But we’re about more than just running. We also create spaces for young people to explore creativity and culture, go on exciting trips, access wraparound wellbeing support, and develop the skills and opportunities they need to shape the futures they want.
Over the past five years, we’ve supported thousands of young people and helped push greater diversity within the running world.
Last year we launched an exciting partnership with Nike’s Social and Community Impact team. As a Youth Practitioner, you’ll deliver our programmes across schools in East London, aiming to engage more young people in movement and running.
What do we want?
We are looking for a new sessional Youth Practitioner to work alongside the Youth Programme team to develop and deliver our Nike-funded schools programme across East London.
You need to be passionate about getting young people moving, in particular girls and young women, and believe in the power of excellent youth work. You'll have a good understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by young people living in East London.
What you’ll be working on:
Supporting our movement programmes
You’ll deliver fun and engaging sessions in schools to young people aged 11-18, alongside teachers and other coaches.
You’ll work with the Youth Programme Lead and other Youth Practitioners to design movement programmes, with a focus on running and movement whilst also bringing other sports, games and wellness activities.
You’ll support the development of our programmes targeted at 8-18 year olds outside of schools.
You’ll undertake administration tasks such as planning sessions, ensuring evaluation forms are completed and uploading data to our database.
You’ll complete any other business required by management and pitch in to help with other tasks at busy times during the year.
Working with young people and their families
You’ll develop and maintain relationships with young people and parents.
You’ll support young people's attendance at approximately 5 races per year (weekends)
You’ll work with the Youth Programme Team to plan and deliver activities over half-term and summer holidays.
You’ll ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld for all young people.

Purpose of the job
UK Youth exists to widen the reach and deepen the impact of youth work and outdoor learning.
As we enter an exciting new phase of our five-year strategic period, we are looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Officer to help us build on political momentum around young people and youth work to inspire lasting change.
You will support the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, within the Impact department (covering research, evaluation, service design, policy and public affairs, and communications), working closely with colleagues across the organisation to build and develop UK Youth’s relationships with a broad range of external stakeholders, including: Westminster government (e.g. ministers, officials and special advisers), parliamentarians, the devolved administrations, NGOs and third-party organisations, while shaping and responding to a wide range of public policy issues.
The role will require a strong understanding of complex policy issues and an interest in the political landscape and how it interacts with third sector organisations. You will have a can-do attitude, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong time management and organisational skills and an ability to develop positive relationships with colleagues internally and externally to support our goals.

Key responsibilities
Public Affairs support
Produce briefings and speaking notes for UK Youth leadership and trustees relating to important policy issues and external events.
Manage relationships with politicians, civil servants, and staff in local authorities and regulatory bodies to brief them on matters relating to UK Youth’s policy objectives.
Identify opportunities for UK Youth to publicly intervene on key policy priorities – including responses to government consultations, speaking at events, meeting with key influencers, etc.
Develop written content, including blogs, and support colleagues in our Communications team to respond to breaking news relating to UK Youth’s policy priorities.
Work closely with the Communications team to support the development of influencing plans that promote our policy messages on public channels.

Ensure that there is a clear record of UK Youth’s policy positions on key issues, along with rationale and suggested messaging.
Contribute to external-facing policy reports and briefings on topics relating to UK Youth’s work.
Stakeholder engagement and event management
Build strong working relationships with policy professionals across the youth sector and identify opportunities to work in partnership, where appropriate.
Develop relationships with key external stakeholders including other policy and public affairs teams in the youth sector and civil servants.

As Deputy Programme Director for the MRes in Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology (DNP), you will play a key role in delivering and developing a world-class postgraduate programme, combining academic leadership, teaching, student support, quality assurance and programme management to ensure an outstanding student experience and high academic standards.
What you’ll bring
You will be an experienced academic leader with a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience or a related field, bringing expertise in developmental neuroscience and child psychopathology, alongside a strong track record of postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, student support and programme management within a Higher Education environment.

Hours: Part-time 17.5 hours per week worked across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
