An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Placement Officer to join our Business Commissioning and Placements Team, on a twelve-month fixed term contract starting in October 2026. The role of Placement Officer is to provide high quality support to all placement, admission and discharge processes associated with all children’s placements.
You will provide centralised administrative support planning, attending, and minuting meetings, as well as managing and executing processes associated with children’s placements, including managing and updating our children’s records system, supporting on billing processes, in particular debtors’ management, and contracting, whilst also supporting the wider business development and commissioning team on clerical matters, ensuring operations run smoothly.

Role Requirements
· Circulating enquiries/referrals, coordinating assessments, gathering information from internal and external counterparts and formatting, and circulating Referral Screening Reports alongside Referral Manager in preparing for placements.
· Coordinate admission planning tasks including arranging parental accommodation, putting together welcome letter and parental agreement, informing reception, and updating relevant spreadsheets.
· Drafting and circulating pre-admission commissioning paperwork such as ICB letters and funding applications.
· External liaison with parents, referrers, and funders to ensure they are kept updated throughout the pre-admission process, alongside the Referral Manager.
· Supporting with in-person and virtual tours for children and their families directed by Placement Managers.
· Provide cross cover to main aspects of Placement Manager or Referral Manager role short-term, if required e.g. sickness, annual leave.
· Minute taking of meetings (including but not limited to complex discharge/transition planning meetings), and distribution of minutes within timely manner following meeting.
· Coordinating children placement reports, including chasing completion, formatting, and circulation in liaison with Placement Managers/Senior Placement Managers.

The Public Engagement team is responsible for developing and delivering the strategy that will drive significant, long-term income growth by inspiring and engaging public audiences to support the work of the NSPCC.

Job purpose
The Associate Head of Engagement Delivery will lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of engagement and fundraising activity to key agreed audiences, ensuring alignment with the audience engagement strategy and campaign plan.
· Take accountability for Engagement Delivery team outputs, ensuring high-quality execution across creative, campaigns and channels

· Campaign Planning and Delivery

o Oversee direct line management of campaign delivery teams, coaching and developing individuals to build capability, confidence and high performance across the full channel mix, while fostering an inclusive and supportive culture
o Oversee campaign briefing, scheduling, and performance tracking, ensuring campaigns are delivered in line with audience strategy and organisational priorities.

Purpose of the Role
The Director of External Affairs and Growth is an SLT role responsible for leveraging the voice and power of the eoa's network to influence and accelerate the growth of the employee owned sector.
The role leads the eoa’s external affairs, policy and insights, marcomms and events, shaping the external environment for employee ownership and securing the funding and commercial income needed to support sustainable sector growth.

- Lead external affairs strategy, building the relationships and influence needed to shape policy, remove barriers and expand EO.
- Build strategic relationships and secure grant funding and commercial partnerships, generating income to support advocacy, events and sector growth initiatives, including the UK EO Growth Strategy.

The role:
This is an exciting role within the Communications Team at Glass Door Homeless Charity. The Marketing Officer will lead on the creation and delivery of multi‑channel marketing campaigns that drive engagement, help generate vital income and maximise impact across our Communication and Fundraising activities.
This is a highly collaborative role with the Fundraising team, acting as a strong marketing support function for fundraising appeals, events and community fundraising.
This role will also provide marketing support to the wider organisation to encourage engagement across a wide-range of audiences; from supporting with key messaging in Volunteer newsletters, to ensuring clear messaging for front-line service collateral to helping draft a speech for a flagship event.

About South East London Community Energy
South East London Community Energy (Selce) was founded in 2014 by people in Greenwich and Lewisham who wanted to help create a clean, fair and affordable energy future.
Over the past decade, we have developed projects that tackle inequality, reduce carbon emissions and support communities at different points in the energy system.

We're looking for a Head of Communications to help tell that story. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Engagement, and leading a team of three (Internal Communications Officer, Media and Campaigns Officer, and Parish Communications Enabler), you'll provide strategic leadership for communications across the diocese, helping it communicate with clarity, consistency and confidence.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer and communicator to tell the stories of SAT-7 and the people of the MENA in fresh and powerful ways. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, creative environment as part of the Communications & Marketing Team, delivering high quality content across a range of platforms. You’d be writing engaging podcast and video scripts, powerful viewer testimonies, inspiring articles for our website or print magazine and attention-grabbing email copy. You’ll be one of the main points of contact with our international office and Middle Eastern TV studios, gathering and repurposing impactful stories and resourcing the wider UK team.
All of this would support our 5-year strategic outcomes:
1. To see an increased and actively engaged support base giving regularly to sustain the work of SAT-7, so that SAT-7 UK is raising a sustainable £4M with over 3,500 donors.
2. Supporters and funders have a deepened understanding of the challenges faced by Christians and the people of the MENA region, and impact of SAT-7, to create opportunities to pray, engage and partner for change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write engaging content for a range of platforms, including print and digital, such as articles, scripts and email copy
- Prepare episode templates, invite and research guests for the ‘Around the Table’ podcast with captivating and informative topics through highlighting regional issues and Christian context
- Assist the Senior Editor in writing copy and copy editing for prayer resources, such as monthly 7 Ways to Pray and seasonal campaigns at Lent and Advent, that will encourage prayer engagement, raise awareness of SAT-7’s work and expand SAT-7’s support base
- Show how God is at work in the MENA, and mobilise increased prayer for the issues affecting different people groups and MENA Christians
- Inform supporters and the wider public about the context, news, challenges and opportunities for the MENA region and Church
- Assist the Senior Editor in the production of copy for Insight magazine, writing effective and inspiring copy to demonstrate the impact of SAT-7 and inspire supporters to take action
- Repurpose written content from SAT-7’s international office for use across a range of platforms, and adapt and upload articles to the SAT-7 UK website
- Gather news and contextual information to generate content for flagship supporter publications, and support other teams as required (e.g. for events, campaigns, appeals, church presentations, prayer updates and reports)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure consistent messaging, branding and tone of voice and that content conforms to SAT-7 security, communication and style guides for a range of different audiences
- Communicate sensitively and positively about the MENA region and the work of SAT-7
- Assist the Communications & Marketing Manager and other colleagues as required
- Operate at all times within relevant statutory requirements and guidelines, following best practice recommendations wherever possible, and especially ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator Code and GDPR legislation
SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP
- To set Christian standards in the working environment and to lead by example
- To attend appropriate staff meetings to hear updates and share and coordinate activities and spend time in prayer and worship together

ABOUT YOU
Essential Skills and Abilities Required
- Passionate about telling the stories of God at work in people’s lives
- A degree-level qualification in Communications, English, Politics or a similar field
- A talented writer with a portfolio of published written work
- Experience in developing podcast episode templates and writing/developing scripts for podcasts or video
- Ability to copy edit and demonstrate exemplary grammar and spelling
- Experience of working in a communications role
- A fast worker, able to prioritise and multitask a number of ongoing projects to set deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, prioritise and work to deadlines
Desirable Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience of the Middle East and North Africa
- Experience working for an international Christian ministry or development organisation

Purpose of the Job
The Head of Comms and External Affairs will lead our narrative and steward our reputation at critical moment, following the merger of FareShare and The Felix Project to form the new Felix brand. The role will set the strategy and operating rhythm for a team of seven across media relations, internal communications and public affairs, ensuring Felix speaks with one clear, trusted and influential voice.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications and working alongside the Head of Brand Marketing who leads brand marketing and digital communication, the postholder will protect and build Felix's reputation, shape national and sector conversations on food redistribution, food waste and food insecurity, and help position Felix as a leading partner in the national endeavour to triple food redistribution in the UK.
The role will provide senior counsel to the CEO, Executive Team, trustees and senior leaders; lead high-quality media, stakeholder and parliamentary engagement; and ensure internal communications support colleagues, volunteers and partners through integration, change and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set and lead an integrated external affairs strategy for Felix, aligned to organisational strategy, the post-merger integration plan, the refreshed brand and the national programme to expand food redistribution.
- Lead, develop and empower a multidisciplinary team of seven across media relations, internal communications and public affairs, directly managing three discipline leads and building clear priorities, standards and ways of working.
- Lead Felix's media relations and reputation management, securing proactive national, regional and sector coverage, overseeing reactive press office activity, preparing spokespeople, managing issues and crisis communications and working closely with the digital marketing team.
- Working closely with the CEO and policy colleagues, leading public affairs and influencing activity, building trusted relationships with government, parliament, food industry partners, redistribution networks, funders and sector coalitions to advance Felix's mission and policy objectives.
- Set the strategic direction for internal communications, ensuring staff, volunteers, network partners and other internal audiences understand the charity's vision, values, priorities and change journey.
- Develop clear narratives, messages, evidence and thought leadership that explain Felix's mission, impact and role in creating a fairer and more sustainable food system.
- Provide expert advice to the Executive Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, CEO, Executive Team, trustees and senior leaders on reputation, stakeholder positioning, media risk, political context and communications opportunities.
- Work closely with the Head of Brand Marketing to ensure external affairs, brand marketing, fundraising, digital communication and operational communications are integrated, consistent and mutually reinforcing.
- Embed professional standards, risk management, evaluation and compliance across the function, including political impartiality, charity law, safeguarding, data protection, media protocols and inclusive communications.
- Bring innovation and experimentation to the development of content and wider communications offer.

About the role
This is a core role within the organisation's influencing strategy, and your primary responsibilities will include:
External Affairs & Influencing:
- Develop and deliver influencing plans to promote adoption of effective mental health care initiatives being funded by the charity
- Develop productive relationships with key stakeholders (journalists, NHS trust leaders, ICBs, ICSs, VCSE orgs) to gather intelligence and shape strategy to inform the charity's positioning
- Lead the charity's thought leadership development providing strategic advice to senior leadership on political, NHS and mental health policy developments
- Strengthen the charity's role in mental health policy and advocacy coalitions, by contributing to collaborative advocacy, media and communications outputs
- Lead the charity's response to government mental health care consultations and calls for evidence
- Monitor funder sector trends and conversations, and actively seek out opportunities for the charity to strategically engage and influence by sharing learning from its grant making practice
Media management
- Develop and implement integrated external affairs campaigns that support the charity's influencing work
- Create persuasive materials, including press releases, op-eds, spokespeople briefings, comment pieces, and digital content and pitch to relevant outlets
- Maintain and grow relationships with journalists, broadcasters and sector media to secure relevant high-quality coverage of the charity's activities, grant holders and their projects
- Act as first point of contact for media enquiries, managing proactive and reactive press activity
- This role is expected to grow and develop and the postholder will be fully supported from across the organisation as the position evolves, within an organisation that offers a friendly, values led culture.
We would love to hear from individuals with the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing successful influencing strategies in the mental health sector
- Experience of stakeholder management within mental health care, including NHS Trust leaders, Integrated Care Boards, commissioners and senior clinicians, and with academics and researchers
- Strong experience in media relations, including briefing senior spokespeople, drafting press releases, media handling, and securing media coverage with a good understanding of the needs and expectations of different outlets and publications
- Keen understanding of the NHS, mental health policy landscape, and the related environment, key stakeholders and sector drivers
- Understanding of the key components and considerations of successful external affairs media and influencing
- Understanding of the sensitivities around mental illness, including working in an empathetic manner with people with lived experience
- Understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles and a commitment to apply them in your work and as an organisation
- Influencing skills including confidence and credibility in working with stakeholders,
- Communication skills and the ability to produce clear and effective communications and the ability to confidently and accurately represent the organisation externally
