The Grantmaking Operations team sits within FGHR’s Operations department and is primarily focused on
ensuring that resources are reaching frontline activist organisations. The team seeks to hire a Grants
Specialist who will report to the Director of Grantmaking Operations and manage FGHR’s most complex
grantmaking programmes.
The successful candidate will join a high-performing, enthusiastic grants management team, a deeply
committed global staff, and an organisation constantly learning and adapting to global contexts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Grantmaking
• Manage due diligence and enhanced grantmaking protocols for a complex and high-volume
portfolio of grants spanning low and high-risk operating environments.
 Inform the development and implementation of grantmaking plans, ensuring they are
robust and responsive to changing contexts and needs.
o Research compliance and financial regulation for various country contexts as needed and
flag potential areas of risk appropriately and in collaboration with GMO Leadership
o Identify and flag operational challenges that may have an impact on programmatic
grantmaking ambitions, potential donor commitments or grantmaking advisory bodies.
 Coordinate with Programme and Grantmaking Operations to ensure grants and grantee
relationships are managed according to their risk level and operating context.
 Together with Program, Fundraising and Finance teams, coordinate grant
recommendation processes, and timeline for grantmaking portfolios.
▪ Prepare and organise applicant materials and prospective grantee documents for
all grants.
▪ Manage incoming grant proposals and reporting, conduct due diligence in line
with grantmaking policies and best practices.
▪ Communicate with grantees in Arabic and French, serving as a primary contact at
FGHR, to support troubleshooting and accompanying them through partnership.
▪ Monitor and safeguard grantmaking, safety and security contexts within regional
and/or initiative programmes.
▪ Translate grant and Programme materials in alignment with Programme
strategies, portfolio priorities, and compliance requirements,
▪ Lead regular grantmaking check-ins and strategic meetings as needed.
▪ Analyse data and develop grantmaking insights and sessions to inform and shape
grantmaking workflows.
▪ Monitor and track grantmaking budgets and manage budget stakeholders.

Database and Systems Administration
• Manage FGHR’s grants management system.
 Maintain accurate grant and grantee records – updating grant, organisation, and contact
records daily, updating budget trackers periodically and ensuring OFAC compliance.
 Generate reports and dashboards for colleagues across departments, as needed.
 Code all grantmaking requests and budgeting information.
 Support enhancements to the grants management system, including the testing and
implementation of back-end developments, to improve user experience, workflow
efficiency, and data integrity.
 Collaborate with Grantmaking Operations colleagues to test new releases and system
updates, identify areas for improvement, and support the resolution of bugs and
technical issues.
 Contribute to the design and creation of the EOI and proposal forms in the grants
management system.
 Support the successful launch of newly implemented workflows and forms by testing
functionality, identifying issues, and assisting with troubleshooting and resolution.
 Support the design and implementation of grantee portals to improve grantee
interactions and reporting.
 Apply systems thinking and user-centred design principles to support operational
innovation and process improvement.
Project Coordination
• Lead on GMO internal projects; brainstorming and implementing workflow solutions to team
endeavours, ensuring cohesive and aligned project reporting and closing.
• Provide support to GMO Leadership
 Support engagement with all project stakeholders, gathering, and integrating feedback to
improve project management processes.
 Proactively identify risks associated with projects, recommending effective solutions to
ensure successful implementation.
 Inform the scheduling and coordination of project activities, including meetings and
deadlines.
 Document project outcomes and adaptations ensuring learning is embedded in
grantmaking operations.

iniva is seeking an experienced, thoughtful and collaborative Website & Communications Manager to join our team at a pivotal moment for the organisation. The role sits at the heart of Living Legacies: Collaboration, Community and Radicality, a four-year National Lottery Heritage Fund project that activates iniva’s archive and connects it with communities through exhibitions, events, podcasts, oral histories and digital resources. Working at iniva is dynamic, creative and purpose driven. As a small organisation, we value people who can work confidently on their own initiative while collaborating closely with colleagues, freelancers and partners. This part-time role (3 days per week) is offered as a fixed-term contract over four years, with responsibilities evolving across the project lifecycle — from strategy and planning in the early stages to website redevelopment, major public programmes and legacy outputs in later phases. The Website & Communications Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and wider team to support clear communication, shared understanding and joined-up audience engagement. The role plays a key part in shaping how audiences encounter Living Legacies and iniva more broadly, ensuring communications are inclusive, accessible and grounded in the organisation’s values. IDEAL CANDIDATE

This role would suit a practical and organised communications professional with strong writing and digital skills. You will be a confident and clear communicator, able to produce engaging, accessible content for a range of audiences across web, email and social media. You will have experience working with websites, including contributing to or supporting a WordPress (or similar CMS) website redevelopment, and be comfortable collaborating with website developers to deliver user-friendly, accessible digital experiences. You will bring the ability to plan and coordinate work across multiple projects, managing timelines, contributors and priorities effectively. Experience supporting or overseeing freelancers such as PR consultants, graphic designers, photographers, videographers etc or external partners is helpful, alongside a collaborative approach and good organisational skills. Role Purpose

The Website & Communications Manager will lead iniva’s communications for a four-year fixed-term
project (3 days per week), with responsibilities evolving across the project — from setting up systems
and plans in Year 1 to delivering public activity, website redevelopment and legacy outputs in later
phases.

Focusing on Living Legacies, the postholder will lead communications activity to grow and diversify
audiences while maintaining strong engagement with existing audiences. They will manage a small
communications team, including the Communications Coordinator, and coordinate different
freelancers over the life of the project, such as a PR Consultant, Website Developer and Podcast
Producer to deliver clear, consistent and values-led communication across the organisation.
Working closely with a freelance Website Developer and internal teams, the postholder will oversee
the redevelopment of iniva’s website, ensuring it is accessible, user-friendly and supports the
project’s digital content and long-term needs. They will also work collaboratively with the Senior
Fundraising Manager, Project Manager and Project Curator to ensure joined-up, timely storytelling that
reflects the aims of the project and supports audience engagement.

Project Specific Duties

The duties below reflect the role across its four-year term. Activity in Years 1–2 will focus on
communications planning, audience development, team coordination and early digital work. Website
redevelopment (Years 2–3) and press activity for exhibitions (Years 3–4) will increase in later phases.
Not all responsibilities will be active at the same time.

Communications Strategy, Planning and Audience Development

• To review, refine and deliver the Living Legacies Communications Plan in collaboration with the wider project team, ensuring alignment with audience development goals, legacy planning and funder expectations.
• To lead audience development activity for Living Legacies, balancing growth and diversification with the retention of iniva’s existing audiences.
• To ensure consistent application of iniva and Living Legacies brand, tone of voice and values across all communications outputs.
• To establish and maintain communications systems, workflows and standards to support effective delivery across the team and with external contributors.
• To manage marketing, communications and documentation budgets ensuring activity is delivered within agreed resources for the organisation.

Website Redevelopment & Digital Experience

• To provide oversight of the redevelopment of iniva’s website (2027-2028), working closely with the Website Developer and internal stakeholders to ensure the site meets accessibility standards, audience engagement objectives and digital preservation needs.
• To manage the Website Developer and relevant budget lines to deliver a user-friendly, accessible website that supports archival access, digital outputs and the wider public programme.
• To ensure the website reflects the interpretive aims of Living Legacies and supports long-term access to project outputs, including oral histories, exhibitions and archival content.
• To gather and commission content from project partners and programme leads to ensure inclusive, participant-led storytelling is reflected across digital platforms.

Content, Campaigns & Creative Management

•  To oversee the creation, scheduling and publication of engaging digital content for Living Legacies, working with the Communications Coordinator across social media, email newsletters and website updates to raise awareness of the project, grow and engage existing and new audiences, and share stories, opportunities and project milestones.
• To commission and manage promotional materials, including digital and print assets, working with graphic designers, photographers, videographers and other freelance creatives to create compelling content that reflects the project's values and reaches diverse audiences.
•  To provide clear briefs, quality control and sign-off for commissioned content, ensuring outputs are on brand, accessible, high quality and delivered on schedule, and support meaningful engagement with participants, partners and audiences.
• To coordinate the promotion of project events and exhibitions, including digital and print listings, invitations, ticketing and on-site communications logistics, helping to maximise attendance, participation and the visibility of Living Legacies across communities and partner networks.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• To oversee monitoring and evaluation of communications activity for Living Legacies, drawing on digital engagement data across web, email and social media platforms to understand audience reach, engagement and impact.
• To lead on communications-related reporting for senior management, the Board and funders, working with the Communications Coordinator to collate insights, data and evidence that demonstrate impact, learning and audience development.
• To use evaluation findings to inform ongoing communications strategy, audience development activity and project learning.

Collaboration & Internal Coordination

• To work collaboratively with the Project Manager, Project Curator, Senior Fundraising Manager and wider iniva team to ensure consistent messaging, joined-up communications and coordinated project delivery across all strands.
• To support shared understanding of communications priorities across exhibitions, podcasts, oral histories and community engagement activity, ensuring coherence of messaging and audience experience.
• To contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing, collective responsibility and values-led working across the organisation.

Press & Public Relations

•  To provide oversight and be the main point of contact for press and media activity for LivingLegacies, setting priorities, approving messaging and coordinating delivery with the Freelance PR Consultant, annually for three major project exhibitions and public programme (2027-2030).
• Liaise with external PR consultants to support programme promotion, ensuring assets and information are shared accurately and on time.
• To support the development and approval of press materials, including press releases and image assets, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with project messaging and organisational values.
• To oversee media listings, press scheduling and coverage tracking, using insights to inform future communications planning in consultation with the PR Consultant.
• To ensure compliance with funder branding and visibility requirements, including National Lottery Heritage Fund acknowledgement guidelines.

Job Title: Philanthropy Officer

Reporting to: Philanthropy Manager

Purpose of the Role

The role of the Philanthropy Officer is to manage the gift administration and stewardship of supporters, lead on the stewardship of regular and individual givers, and support the Philanthropy Manager to grow the Individual Giving income stream for Chance to Shine. 

This includes responsibility for the coordination of individual giving campaigns, management of the administration of legacy gifts, and wider regular giving campaigns and appeals.

Key responsibilities

Supporter Care

• Ensure all donations are efficiently and accurately recorded and acknowledged in a timely fashion.
• Process all individual giving bank donations including website/third-party fundraising/gift-collection platforms and ensure they are efficiently and accurately entered onto our Raisers Edge database and processed (cash, cheques, credit cards, Direct Debits and vouchers) daily. 
• Maintain accurate electronic supporter records including donations, personal details, Gift Aid declarations, communication preferences and any other data relating to their support. 
• Write and update template thank you letters. 
• Respond to donor enquiries and provide personalised information as and when requested.
• Work with the Philanthropy Manager and the Communications and Marketing team to develop the supporter care strategy, proactively identifying and implementing new ways of improving supporter care.

Supporter Cultivation 

• Coordinate appeals and campaigns to help upgrade supporters and bring in new donors.
• Regularly identify lapsed committed supporters with a view to reengaging them via fundraising cultivation. 
• Produce copy for fundraising materials alongside the Communications and Marketing team and organise the distribution of these materials to supporters in a coordinated manner. 
• Support the Philanthropy Manager on the organisation and execution of project visits for supporters including attending visits where needed. 
• Support the Philanthropy Manager and Director of Fundraising with funding proposals and reports as needed.

Legacy gifts

• Lead on communications with legacy and in-memory supporters to ensure that this is sensitively managed and reflects the values of Chance to Shine. 
• Monitor and maintain legacy gifts on the database and support with the administration of legacies for the organisation.

Compliance and Data Protection

• Support on data protection compliance for the fundraising team working with the Director of Finance and Resources and Fundraising team as appropriate.
• Ensure all fundraising processes comply with data protection regulations, (including Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR) the Code of Fundraising Practice and any other regulatory bodies. 
• Lead on updating supporters’ consent and preferences to comply with fundraising regulations and best practice.

General Support 

• Manage fundraising income administration, including donation processing and income reconciliation with Finance Team.
• Lead on organisational Gift Aid, including Gift Aid promotion and submitting claims.
• Undertake other responsibilities not outlined above which are commensurate with a role of this nature and which have been discussed and agreed with the line manager.

Build Studios is a charity that works to inspire the next generation about the built environment through collaboration and learning. We have been working from our central London base in Waterloo since we were established nearly ten years ago.

We work with our community to improve awareness, access and aspiration for young people to careers in the sector. This takes place through outreach work with schools, careers enrichment and events.

Our engagement with young people takes place at a number of points in their school journey – from our ‘Healthy Homes’ programme with primary pupils, built environment careers enrichment with secondary aged students and digital design for sixth formers – inspiring them about the importance of good city design to their everyday lives. Job Description

The role will involve the following:

Line management: managing and developing Build Studios and Build Workspace’s small staff team, with access to retained HR support agency. Leading annual appraisals and regular 1:1s.

Governance : managing the annual cadence of quarterly board meetings, AGM and associated companies house and charity commission filing, liaising closely with the boards of directors of both companies.

Business Planning: annual business planning, working with the board, staff team and other stakeholders to develop an ambitious annual plan in line with Build Studios five year strategic plan.

Budgeting and financial management: production of annual budget, working closely with the Treasurer and Chairs of Build Studios and Build Workspace; quarterly monitoring of financial performance in liaison with accountants; day to day management of project budgets and payments.

Fundraising: Leading fundraising bids with relevant grant funding bodies, developing new programmes in line with their (and Build Studios’) strategic priorities. Approaching sponsors for financial support, making a compelling case for investment.

Project management: Taking a lead role in managing projects, ensuring delivery, reporting and impact measurement are conducted in line with funder requirements and our own standards.

Communications and marketing: Supporting the team with delivering strong communications and marketing through our various channels (website, LinkedIn, Instagram, newsletters). Other information

The contract of employment will be with Build Workspace, but the post-holder will work across both Build Studios and Build Workspace.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Major donors and philanthropists are currently responsible for over a quarter of Caudwell Youth’s annual income – due in part to the generosity of the networks of our founder, John Caudwell.

As Caudwell Youth enters its fourth year, we are seeking a Senior Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships manager to help us expand beyond our strong founder-led base into a sustainable major donor and corporate supporter portfolio.

Proactive and commercially-minded, you will be confident driving and developing all stages of the major donor and corporate supporter stewardship process. Confidence in engaging in new business research, prospecting, initial meetings and pitches is a must, as you will be responsible for growing our small pipeline of supporters and warm prospects into a long-term income stream.

This is essential to Caudwell Youth’s future sustainability, with corporate partnerships and major donor income currently making up 30% of Caudwell Youth’s annual fundraising income (forecast to be around £450,000 this year).

Our ambition is to increase this revenue stream by around 50% to over £800,000 by 2030, in order to support more at-risk young people from across the UK, as set out in our recently launched strategy, Going National.

This is a role for a self-starter who is excited to drive high value growth and be a key part of Caudwell Youth’s upward trajectory, working within a small but dynamic fundraising team. It offers significant opportunity to shape and lead this area of fundraising as it grows.

You will be an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of securing major gifts of four, five and six figure gifts, familiarity with managing corporate partnerships and evidence of growing and developing new pipelines and revenue streams.

You will own a significant portion of this income stream, with responsibility for securing new high-value relationships and growing existing supporters.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operating at a senior level within the fundraising team, this role will take the lead across Caudwell Youth’s philanthropic and corporate giving.

Working closely with the Fundraising Director to drive income growth and strategic development, your key duties will include:

MAJOR DONORS & PHILANTHROPISTS

You will manage a mixed portfolio of existing supporters and warm prospects, while building a pipeline of new high-value opportunities. To do this, you will:

• Take personal responsibility for securing, retaining and growing high-value (four, five and six figure) gifts and philanthropic partnerships, by engaging in detailed prospect research and building contacts with high-net-worth individuals and their intermediaries to create a pipeline of new opportunities.
• Provide a high-quality supporter stewardship experience to Caudwell Youth’s existing major donors and philanthropists and warm prospects, tailoring this to their wishes to create a unique journey for each donor which seeks to deepen their engagement with the charity. This may include:
• Personalised reporting

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS AND FUNDRAISING

• Develop our corporate support pipeline, seeking to strengthen connections with existing corporate donors. This will include developing partnerships typically in the £10,000 - £100,000+ range through CSR, fundraising and sponsorship opportunities which align with Caudwell Youth’s values.
• Work with major donors and philanthropists, colleagues across the charity, volunteers and other stakeholders and contacts to proactively identify new corporate fundraising opportunities for Caudwell Youth.
• Work on Charity of the Year applications, pitches and proposals in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team and representatives from volunteering and operations as required.
• Act as an account manager and first point of contact for corporate supporters of Caudwell Youth, coming up with tailored programmes of supporter engagement to maximise their fundraising, increase connection with our cause and engage them in strategic multi-year support partnerships.
• Supported by our Supporter Engagement Coordinator, encourage our corporate donors, major donors and philanthropists to meaningfully engage with our challenge fundraising programme.
• Review our existing Torchrunners model as a means of engaging corporate supporters as a group.

ACROSS THE FUNDRAISING TEAM

• Promote other ways to support Caudwell Youth, including gifts in wills, payroll giving, help in kind, challenge fundraising, charity-wide appeals and campaigns, events and digital content to your network of major donors, philanthropists and corporate supporters as appropriate.
• Work in partnership with the Grants and Impact Lead to develop applications and reporting for family philanthropic trusts where required.

• Knowledge of corporate fundraising and partnership development, including experience developing and managing corporate partnerships worth £10,000 and upwards.
• Ability to identify, qualify and cultivate high value prospects, with evidence of strong commercial awareness to spot opportunities, grow fundraising income and build new pipelines.
• Understanding of impact-led fundraising and how to communicate charitable outcomes effectively to supporters.
• Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with experience developing long-term fundraising plans and tailored donor engagement journeys.

Overview

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster. 

We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways. 

Purpose of the role

The Supporter Engagement Officer plays a key role in making sure everyone who supports Race Against Dementia has a positive and rewarding experience. They will manage day-to-day supporter communications, maintain our supporter database, and build strong relationships with donors, fundraisers and volunteers around the world. By helping people feel valued and connected to our mission, they will help inspire long -term support and generate more funding for dementia research.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporter care and fundraising

• Act as the first point of contact for supporters and fundraisers, delivering timely, professional and friendly stewardship via phone, email and post .
• Manage supporter journeys from sign-up to thank you, using tailored communications and automated journeys to maximise engagement and fundraising success.
• Record and track fundraising activity, ensuring accurate records and effective supporter communications.
• Prepare and send thank you letters, receipts and other supporter communications.
• Plan and deliver small-scale supporter engagement events, maximising both experience and fundraising potential.
• Recruit, coordinate and steward fundraising volunteers across the year. 

CRM and donor management

• Maintain accurate supporter and donation records within the CRM (Salesforce), acting as the organisational lead for CRM best practice.
• Develop dashboards and reports to monitor supporter activity, fundraising performance and trends.
• Maintain CRM integrations, ensuring data flows accurately and reliably between connected systems.
• Produce regular insights and reporting to inform fundraising strategy and decision making.
• Manage fundraising platforms (e.g. JustGiving, MuchLoved and GivenGain), ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Work with the Finance Manager to process monthly direct debits and reconcile income.
• Coordinate legacy and in -memory giving administration, providing sensitive and thoughtful supporter stewardship. 

Operations and administration

• Manage stocks of fundraising materials and merchandise, ensuring timely reordering.
• Oversee the fulfilment house relationship to ensure the efficient delivery of supporter packs and merchandise.
• Manage auction and raffle prize inventories, tracking usage and income.
• Support the planning and delivery of Race Against Dementia fundraising events, providing logistical and operational support.
• Maintain team calendars, campaign plans and shared resources to support effective team operations.

Other Duties

Carry out any other duties as required by your manager, Director, CEO and Board of Trustees including:

• To attend, where appropriate, local, regional and national meetings /events.
• To maintain a good knowledge of national and local initiatives which are of benefit to Race Against Dementia .
• To administer your own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system.
• To a ttend relevant CPD training events as required.
• To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Hea lth and Safety work related matters.
• To w ork within the guidelines of Race Against Dementia’s policies and procedures.
