About You and the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Fundraising Team at Somerset Wildlife Trust. By providing great supporter care and key administrative support to the team, particularly membership, you will help to maximise engagement and income from supporters of Somerset Wildlife Trust.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The Supporter Care Coordinator will provide exceptional supporter care and key administrative support to the fundraising team, particularly membership, to maximise engagement and income from supporters of Somerset Wildlife Trust by:

Supporter care:

• Being the first point of contact for the majority of our supporters and offering first-class stewardship to ensure our members and donors feel well-supported.
• Maintaining the highest standards of supporter care, including when responding to enquiries, judging when to involve colleagues to maximise potential support and income.
• Providing efficient data entry and administration, including for membership, fundraising appeals, community fundraising and events, processing all donations, including credit card payments and cheques, accurately.
• Supporting the Fundraising Data Specialist with the efficient processing of monthly Direct Debit and Gift Aid claims. Assist in financial reconciliations.
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the online shop, which includes the management of the website presence, fulfilment of all shop purchases and payments, and developing new products/adoptions as agreed with the Fundraising Development Manager.
• Being able to manage multiple tasks and requirements whilst demonstrating excellent time management
• Demonstrating good problem-solving skills and being able to work independently to deal with most enquiries and issues arising during the day.
• Providing administrative support for the Fundraising team.
• Identifying and proposing improvements that can be made to internal processes to help make the team more efficient.

CRM (Raiser’s Edge) & Systems:

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the Trust’s supporter database (Raiser’s Edge), including by uploading new memberships, donations and event attendees and updating records.
• Work with other team members to manage the recording of fundraising activity and income to help them become confident users.
• Producing electronic member retention letters and working with the Fundraising Data Specialist to make other improvements to processes to maximise effective use of Raiser’s Edge.
• Assisting in the ongoing development and improvement of Raiser’s Edge and in the support of other teams using the system.
• Supporting Fundraising colleagues with other systems used in the day-to-day work of the team.

Stakeholder relationships:

• Managing the day-to-day relationship with our membership recruiters at SWWFL, including the member upload processes, maintaining data quality, providing additional equipment and resources, and organising SWWFL team days and inductions.
• Managing stock levels and organising the printing and updating of membership materials. Liaising with suppliers to gather quotes and order new materials.

About the Role

As a Customer Adviser, you will be playing an important role in this vital service; providing information and advice for older people in need, and signposting them, their families, carers and other professionals to relevant bodies that can help with their specific requirements. You will speak to older people facing a wide range of situations, including loneliness, financial difficulty, and occasionally safeguarding concerns.

This role offers hybrid working between home and our offices in Blackpool or Ashburton (a robust home broadband connection is essential). We are looking for a committed, highly organised administrator to join our Leeds team on a permanent basis. You will play an important part in helping disabled people, older people and people with long-term conditions access advice, assessments and services that support independence.

This is a busy and varied role, combining telephone enquiries, appointment administration, accurate data entry and general office tasks. You will need to remain calm, organised and accurate when workloads change or increase.

William Merritt Disabled Living Centre is a registered charity based in Rodley, Leeds, supporting people across Yorkshire and beyond. We have grown significantly over the last decade and now employ around 40 staff across a range of services and locations.

You will receive training across our administration services which include: reception, assessment booking, training & room hire, driving school support and shopmobility cover. As we grow, we are looking for someone who can help us improve, document and embed clear administrative procedures for the future.

You will join a busy, friendly and supportive office where service users are our priority. We are looking for someone who communicates with warmth, patience and respect, while supporting people’s independence and treating every person as an individual.

You will need a confident telephone manner, strong IT skills, accurate data entry and the ability to handle enquiries from clients, carers, suppliers and healthcare professionals in a patient, competent and professional way.

Experience of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is essential; knowledge of CRM databases is also expected.

This role may suit an experienced administrator, recent graduate or early-career applicant who can clearly demonstrate the required skills, attitude and commitment.

The role is responsible for delivering data governance, data quality, architecture, engineering, reporting, analytics and the effective use of cloud native data platforms across the organisation.

This leadership role accelerates the Foundation’s journey toward becoming a data-mature, insight-led organisation, supporting strategic decision-making, regulatory confidence, operational excellence, and impact measurement.

Reporting to the Director of Transformation, the Head of Data builds and develops the team, shapes the Foundation’s data culture, and ensures data is a strategic asset that drives value, trust and innovation.

The Head of Data delivers a modern, secure and trusted data environment supporting the Foundation’s mission, and ensures high quality of data that strengthens insight, transparency, regulatory confidence and impact measurement. The role also supports a future-ready data capability, supporting long-term transformation across the Foundation, and helps foster a culture that sees data as a shared asset powering decisions, partnerships and community impact. 

Job Description 

Strategic Data Leadership 

• Develop and deliver the Foundation’s enterprise data strategy aligned to mission and organisational goals.
• Enable data-driven decision-making across all Foundation operations, including Finance & Legal, Endowment, Charities and Impact on Urban Health. 
• Embed data into customer experience, operational resilience, risk management and strategic planning. 
• Ensure measurable outcomes linked to data quality, adoption and organisational value. 

Data Governance & Compliance

• Lead and mature a robust data governance framework, including standards, policies, ownership models, quality controls and metadata management.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, Data Protection and relevant regulatory and audit requirements.
• Establish trusted data across the organisation through strong controls, lineage, classification and lifecycle management. 

Data Architecture & Engineering

• Lead on the enterprise data architecture design, including data lakes, warehousing, integrations, pipelines and modelling. 
• Own and optimise cloud-native data technologies across Microsoft Azure, including Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse and SQL. 
• Ensure the data platform is scalable, high-performing, secure and aligned to organisational transformation needs.
• Partner with the Business Systems team to deliver seamless integrations with CRM, finance, impact measurement tools and third-party platforms. 

Analytics, Insight & AI

• Lead on the development of enterprise reporting and analytics, delivering timely, accurate and actionable insights. 
• Oversee Power BI governance, semantic models and self-service enablement. 
• Drive predictive analytics, operational insight and (where appropriate) responsible AI/ML adoption to enhance outcomes and impact measurement.
• Champion the delivery and innovation in line with emerging technologies to support operational insight. 

Leadership, Culture & Collaboration

• Work closely with the Head of Change, Head of Business Systems, and IT Operations Manager to develop end-to-end solutions for business systems, data and infrastructure.
• Over time, build and lead the multidisciplinary data.
• Champion data literacy, high-quality data habits and a culture of curiosity across the Foundation.
• Represent the organisation externally with regulators, suppliers and strategic partners.
• Effectively manage internal and external delivery, including procurement and vendor oversight.

• Proven experience leading data functions in regulated or complex organisations (charity, financial services, healthcare, public sector or similar) – (essential)

• Deep technical expertise across the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem (Fabric, Data Lake, ADF, Databricks, Synapse, SQL, Purview, DevOps) – (essential)
• Experience scaling cloud-native data platforms and modern data stacks (Lakehouse, pipelines, BI tooling) – (essential) 
• Strong understanding of GDPR, data protection, compliance and data risk frameworks (essential)
