The Job
USPG are looking for an experienced fundraising and marketing professional to take ownership of our individual giving strategy and deliver it to achieve our objectives. About the role:
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up and see the direct impact of your work on people experiencing homelessness across London. As our first Philanthropy and Major Gifts Officer, you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Fundraising to bring our new strategy to life, shaping how we engage major donors and grow a powerful community of supporters who are motivated to stand alongside Single Homeless Project (SHP) and our clients. Every relationship you build and every gift you secure will help create real opportunities for our clients to move away from homelessness and towards safety, stability and independence.
You will take the lead in developing and managing meaningful relationships with major donors, creating thoughtful and engaging journeys that bring them closer to our work and the difference it makes day to day. Alongside nurturing existing supporters, you will identify and secure new funding opportunities, building a strong and sustainable pipeline of donors and driving forward this new area of income generation within the team. Working collaboratively across SHP, you will connect philanthropists with our services in a way that feels personal, impactful and rooted in the realities of our work, while contributing to the wider fundraising targets that enable us to keep delivering life changing support.
Hybrid working for us means a mix of in office working in Kings Cross and home working. Currently two days in the office (usually Wednesday and Friday) with the rest from home.

The role
This is a fixed-term maternity cover post for 1 year. The post holder will step into the co-Executive Director role with co-responsibility for Foxglove's strategy, impact, advocacy, operations, fundraising and public facing work. The post holder will work very closely with Foxglove’s other co-Executive Director and will make all sizable decisions about Foxglove together. UK and international travel (approx. 20%) is required.

Strategy, Leadership and Impact

Length and Salary

The Sickle Cell Society (SCS) is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder. We provide information, advice and support to enable people to improve their overall quality of life. Over 19,000 people in the UK have a sickle cell disorder, an inherited condition that predominantly affects people of Black African and Black Caribbean heritage; and to a lesser extent people of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Central/South American heritage.
Job Purpose:
To assist the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of our Fundraising Strategy and on-going development to achieve our fundraising priorities and targets. An exciting and varied role, we are seeking a strong team player, and someone with the confidence and initiative to help develop and grow charitable income. The post holder will be someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the enthusiasm to want to learn and get things done. We are a small, friendly and closely knit team of 20 skilled and highly committed staff and over 50 active volunteers.

You will be responsible for the membership and donors’ database (Beacon) keeping it up to date and reporting back on results, whilst ensuring data compliance and implementation of data. You will be highly proficient in the use of business IT systems in particular Microsoft Excel to analyse data, and you will also have at least one year’s experience, or equivalent, in producing detailed and insightful reports.
The post-holder will be a confident communicator and collaborator with proven relationship building and creative and innovative fundraising skills. You will also support the development of our fundraising communications, monitoring performance across all channels driving best practice and income growth. You will generate and develop engaging fundraising communications and be responsible for your own copywriting, including thanking our wonderful donors via the most appropriate communication channels.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. Who are we looking for?
Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising. This role blends the strategic oversight and leadership of a Head of role across multiple income streams, with the hands-on expertise of an IG fundraiser. Experience across other income streams and areas of fundraising delivery would be a huge benefit as the role leads community fundraising and events, will take on digital fundraising - currently led by the Chief Engagement Officer, as well as manage the data and supporter care functions, but experience in individual giving is essential as Coeliac UK has defined that as an area of priority income.
The successful candidate for this role will be someone who has already operated at a senior level within a charity such as at Senior Manager level, or Head of in a specific income stream.
Hybrid working
The role has a hybrid expectation of a minimum of a day a week in the High Wycombe office (HP11 2QW) to build relationships and provide support to the fundraising team, and there will be flexibility required for other in person meetings and events. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and supporter-focused Challenge Events Officer to help deliver an exceptional experience for Thames Valley Air Ambulance’s London Marathon 2027 participants and wider challenge events community.

Your role
Working closely with the Events Manager, you will lead on the recruitment, delivery and stewardship of London Marathon 2027 participants, while also supporting other events across the challenge events portfolio. You will be the main point of contact for participants, providing outstanding supporter care from registration through to event day and beyond, helping each person feel motivated, supported and valued throughout their fundraising journey.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of the challenge events programme, with a primary focus on recruiting, supporting and stewarding London Marathon 2027 participants.
- Providing excellent supporter care from registration through to post-event thank you, helping participants feel informed, motivated and valued.
- Keeping in regular contact with participants by phone, email, post and in person to encourage fundraising activity and maximise income.
- Supporting recruitment through digital campaigns, partnerships and enquiries, and helping to share supporter stories with colleagues across marketing, communications and volunteering.
- Coordinating event administration and logistics, including registrations, fundraising packs, participant tracking, event-day support and accurate CRM records in Dynamics 365.
About you
You will be a confident communicator with excellent customer service skills and a warm, professional approach to building relationships. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple deadlines and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You will bring strong attention to detail, good administrative skills and a genuine enthusiasm for charity fundraising.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience of building positive relationships, delivering excellent customer service and communicating clearly with a wide range of people.
- Is highly organised, able to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines, and brings strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Understands charity fundraising, is motivated by the difference supporters can make and can work with others to achieve income goals or targets.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records, with experience of fundraising databases or digital platforms being an advantage.
- Is positive, enthusiastic, flexible and professional, with a can-do attitude and willingness to support occasional evening or weekend activity.
- Experience of events fundraising, supporter engagement, digital fundraising platforms such as JustGiving, or motivating runners and challenge event participants would be an advantage. A UK driving licence and access to your own car would also be desirable.

You will be part of a newly formed Technology team of developers, testers, and product specialists, working closely with brilliant colleagues to improve processes, manage donor data, and deliver innovative solutions.
This role suits someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can support end users with technical issues and requests while managing multiple initiatives with ease.
You will need an understanding of fundraising processes and donor management, experience with CRM systems like Dynamics 365, familiarity with campaign management and reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI, and ideally a background in application support or not-for-profit organisations.

Role Purpose
The Relationship Fundraiser will support the Philanthropy Manager to secure and increase income through the charity’s Philanthropy strategy.
The post holder will support with developing a robust pipeline of prospects and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing major donor relationships. You will be creative and analytical and provide first class research, administration, relationship management and database skills and provide excellent donor stewardship.
Main Responsibilities
· Work with the Philanthropy Manager to prepare and implement creative donor cultivation and stewardship plans to secure new donors and develop current relationships, including:
- Creative cases for support with associated budgets.
- Adapting information for specific donors using different approaches for different audiences.
- Developing engaging thank you letters and reports.
· Manage an agreed portfolio of mid-value major donor relationships and prospects, with the support of the Philanthropy Manager and deliver excellent stewardship and tailored fundraising proposals.
