About the role

Guided by Nene Park Trust's Business Plan and Fundraising Strategy, the Head of Fundraising will lead and develop a comprehensive fundraising programme across all income streams. You will need to be highly competent at applying to Trusts and Foundations, including Lottery funders - our most lucrative channel for charitable income, whilst also able to drive the growth of our corporate and individual fundraising programmes which are at an exciting stage of development. 

As the senior member of the Fundraising Team, you will oversee and lead innovative fundraising campaigns, appeals and events, and build and steward lasting relationships with donors, partners and supporters at local and national levels.

You will lead and manage the Fundraising Team, setting clear objectives, supporting professional development and driving high performance aligned to the Trust's values and culture. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, you will ensure fundraising activity is well-coordinated, compliant and  mpactful, helping to secure the income needed to realise the Trust's considerable ambitions.

Key areas of work:

Fundraising Strategy and Planning

• Lead the delivery of the Trust's Fundraising Strategy, devising and managing an annual work programme that covers a wide range of fundraising opportunities, maintains diverse and sustainable income streams, and builds the organisation's voluntary income capacity to meet its strategic aims and objectives.
• Initiate, manage and coordinate major project-based fundraising campaigns, events and other activities in support of the Trust's Business Plan.
• Monitor best practice among close competitors and the wider charity sector to ensure the Trust's approach to fundraising is coherent and delivering the required impact.
• Ensure that all fundraising activity is responsible, delivery-focused and compliant with relevant charity and statutory legislation, fundraising regulations and recognised codes of practice.

Trusts, Foundations and Statutory Funding

• Lead the development and submission of grant applications to charitable trusts, foundations and statutory/public bodies to support standalone projects, capital purchases and core cost recovery.
• Help develop cases for support, business cases and budgets for projects and activities, and support project leads to monitor and control work programmes and expenditure.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to funders and other stakeholders in line with grant conditions. 
• Identify funding information sources and carry out in-depth research on funding opportunities. 

​Corporate Fundraising and Partnerships

• Build relationships through networking with local and national organisations to attract sponsorship, corporate donations and other partnership opportunities.
• Lead the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate supporters and donors in collaboration with the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.
• Develop strong cases for support to present a compelling proposition to corporate partners and sponsors.

Individual and Community Fundraising

• Oversee and support the team to raise money from individuals, including community fundraising, regular giving, in memoriam giving and membership.
• Plan and coordinate the stewardship of individual supporters and develop the donor journey, including the provision of NPT membership.
• Manage a schedule of regular appeals and campaigns to supporters through a variety of communication channels.
• Utilise fundraising and marketing tools, such as online donation platforms, crowdfunding and mailshots, to encourage donations and other forms of giving. 
• Develop and implement fundraising events and supporter engagement activities within the Park and elsewhere.
• Subject to strategic priorities, develop the potential for major donor and legacy fundraising.

Supporter Relations and Data

• With support from colleagues, maintain and develop the Trust's CRM system to underpin effective individual and corporate supporter management.
• Ensure the fundraising function remains compliant with all relevant data protection laws and fundraising regulations at all times.
• Manage and oversee fundraising budgets responsibly and in line with the Trust's financial policies and procedures.
• Contribute to reporting on the Trust's fundraising performance, providing regular and accurate updates to the Chief Executive and Trustees.

Team Leadership and Management

• Provide clear, values-based leadership to the Fundraising Team, creating an environment where people can bring their best to the Trust.
• Effectively manage and support staff through regular meetings, setting and reviewing work programmes and objectives, annual performance reviews, and identifying training and professional development needs.
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation to engage their support for fundraising initiatives.

Knowledge, skills and expierence

• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience, with evidence of recent and ongoing professional development relevant to fundraising
• Extensive experience of fundraising across multiple income streams, including writing successful applications to charitable trusts, foundations, Lottery and statutory funders 
• Demonstrable experience of building and implementing individual giving and corporate fundraising programmes 
• Track record of securing corporate partnerships, sponsorship and grants
• Experience of creating and implementing a successful fundraising strategy that has significantly increased revenues
• Experience of leading and line managing a fundraising team, motivating individuals to achieve their potential
• Experience of compiling and overseeing budgets for projects, taking into consideration funders' requirements
• Familiarity with CRM software, databases and MS Office
• Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to write compelling, persuasive funding applications and cases for support
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present confidently to donors, funders and partners
• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to work within agreed budgets and maximise return on investment
• Ability to collate and analyse data to produce informative reports for funders and internal stakeholders
• Strategic thinker with creativity and an entrepreneurial attitude towards fundraising
• Self-motivated, proactive and resilient, particularly when faced with setbacks

About the Role 

As Service Manager – Community Services, you will lead the operational delivery of community-based domestic abuse services, including IDVA, triage and outreach support for adults, children and young people. Working closely with the Area Operational Lead and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strong, values-led leadership to frontline teams, drive service performance, and ensure delivery is safe, responsive, trauma-informed and survivor-led. You will also play a key role in strengthening partnerships, supporting service development and ensuring services remain compliant, effective and sustainable.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of community domestic abuse services, ensuring support is safe, timely, trauma-informed and survivor-led.

• Provide effective leadership, supervision, reflective practice and case management oversight to staff, supporting wellbeing, accountability and professional development.

• Oversee referrals, allocations and case progression to ensure survivors receive an appropriate, equitable and responsive service, with risk managed effectively.

• Monitor service quality, performance and outcomes through audits, data, survivor feedback and reporting, and use this insight to drive continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, legal, contractual and organisational requirements, maintaining accurate oversight of governance and risk.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with statutory, voluntary and community organisations to strengthen referral pathways and improve outcomes for survivors.

• Support service planning, workforce coordination and cover arrangements to ensure safe staffing and consistent service delivery across periods of leave and absence.

• Contribute to strategic development, identifying emerging needs, supporting service growth and helping to shape high-quality, inclusive responses for diverse communities.

What we are looking for

• Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records and reporting.

Desirable 

• ILM, CMI or another relevant management qualification, or evidence of continued professional development in leadership.
• Experience of service development, project delivery, change management or supporting new initiatives within a support service setting.
• Knowledge of Women’s Aid National Quality Standards and relevant legislation and frameworks relating to domestic abuse and safeguarding.
• Understanding of budget monitoring, contract requirements or income maximisation within a commissioned or grant-funded service.

Key Responsibilities:

Advice, Casework and Targets

• Provide 1‑to‑1, face‑to‑face energy advice appointments, including home visits.
• Support vulnerable households, ensuring advice is accessible, inclusive, and person‑centred.
• Offer tailored guidance on:
  • Reducing energy usage and costs
  • Understanding bills, meters, and tariffs
  • Heating systems and basic energy efficiency measures
  • Fuel debt, payment plans, and priority services registers
  • Accessing grants, discounts, and energy‑related support schemes
• Assist clients with energy correspondence and form‑filling where required.
• You will be part of a larger team working together to reach specific delivery targets.

Outreach and Events

• Deliver outreach sessions, information stands, and workshops in community venues.
• Attend and support community events to promote the charity’s energy advice services.
• Work proactively to reach under‑represented or harder‑to‑reach groups.

Safeguarding

• Undertake lone working, including home visits, in line with organisational lone‑working policies.
• Identify and appropriately respond to safeguarding concerns, following charity procedures.
• Maintain personal safety and professional boundaries at all times.
• Onward referral to local provision for complex cases or support needs beyond our scope.

Administration and Partnership Working

• Maintain accurate case records, monitoring outcomes and impact.

Key Skills and Qualifications: 

• Experience of working directly with vulnerable people, including disabled people.

Position Summary

The Head of Finance is the lead finance professional at GSG Impact, and, with the support of the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for leading all aspects of the charity's finances.

The Head of Finance will be the owner of the external audit relationship and be responsible for the production of the annual report and accounts, including all regulatory compliance associated with a UK based charitable entity. They will support the leadership’s preparation for, and presentations to both the charity’s Finance and Audit sub-committee and the main GSG Board.  

The postholder will ensure that the charity’s budget and financial position are closely monitored and that established financial controls, spanning the procurement to payments cycle, are firmly adhered to. 

They will lead on the annual budget setting process, including interim reforecasting, and financial reporting.

In addition, the postholder will provide budgetary support, business partnering and technical advice to non-finance staff, and build strong relationships across the organisation, particularly the Fundraising and Programme Support Teams, positioning GSG for continued success and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to the day-to-day Leadership of the Finance Function and staff management the Key Areas of Responsibility are:

Regulatory Compliance & Audit

• Preparation of the Annual financial statements and Audited accounts for the charitable entity and trading subsidiary.
• Completion of regulatory returns as required by the Charities’ Commission.
• Co-ordination and filing of the quarterly VAT returns and annual Corporation Tax return
• Review of the VAT registration position for continued appropriateness
• Ensure gift aid is calculated and paid over from the trading subsidiary to the charity, as applicable

Management Accounting and Planning

• Leadership of the Annual organisational budget process, including multi-year financial plans and Scenario modelling
• Lead mid-year reforecast process for review and approval of the Board
• Production of Monthly – Quarterly summary management accounts with accompanying narrative to support analysis of significant variances and trends
• Oversee Budget vs actual reporting and analysis by department-function for circulation to nominated budget holders

Financial Accounting, Cash and Treasury Management

• Ownership of the month end financial accounting processes and adjustments
• Manage monthly payroll process with outsourced provider
• Oversee completion of monthly Balance sheet reconciliations including bank accounts
• Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely fulfilment of obligations to suppliers and 3rd party payments
• Monitor domestic and foreign currency bank accounts and ensure optimal balances are maintained in the various currency accounts
• Prepare regular cash flow forecasts utilising updated income and expenditure information to monitor working capital needs in the short and medium term

Funds Management & Programme Support

• Work with Programme Support colleagues in the preparation of standard budgets for donor proposals, ensuring cost recovery is maximised in line with our Full Cost Recovery Model
• Maintain a staff cost allocation database to provide an overview of funding gaps to be addressed in future donor proposals
• Oversee the production of Donor, project, or grant expenditure financial reports to ensure we meet our donor reporting obligations
• Maintain a Restricted/Unrestricted fund summary analysis schedule to support fund balances reported in the Balance Sheet
• Liaise with finance colleagues within the National Partners on sub-granted funds

Governance & Board Support

• Main liaison with the Audit and Finance committee, co-ordinating quarterly meeting schedule, agenda and supporting reports and documentation
• Production of additional information as required for Trustee board finance packs
• Supply of financial data for KPIs and dashboards on a quarterly basis
• Periodic review of Reserves Policy to ensure appropriateness and update as required by the Board

Financial Systems, Controls & Risk Management

• Maintain and ensure effective application of organisation wide financial policies and procedures
• Preparation and analysis of data required to support Going concern assessments
• Review and update on areas of financial risk as identified in the Risk Register updates
• Support colleagues in due diligence and risk assessments for partners engaged through sub grants
• Lead on continuous improvements to financial processes to ensure finance systems support programme management and organisational growth

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post qualification experience
• Experience of working with the UK Charity SORP and production of annual report and accounts
• Experience of managing a team and relationships with colleagues in a distributed global structure
• Experience managing a multi-donor funded organisational budget and grant budgets, including restricted and unrestricted funding, full cost recovery and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-currency income & expenditure and management of the processes around sub-grants to overseas partners

Competencies and Behaviours

• Strategic leadership; the role involves supporting SLT and the Board in the alignment of financial resources to the organisational strategy, ensuring outcomes and objectives can be achieved through the provision of concise and decision useful financial information
• Stakeholder engagement; the Head of Finance must be comfortable working closely with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholder including SLT, Trustees within the Finance Committee, wider Board members, the Fundraising Team and National Partners.
• Communication; the post holder must have the ability to communicate potentially complex financial information to non-finance specialists.

Hackney School of Food is an award-winning food education hub based in the grounds of Mandeville Primary School in Clapton, East London. Through our teaching kitchen and educational garden, we help children, families and communities build the skills, confidence and knowledge to grow, cook and eat good food.

About the role

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director (MD) will provide both strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the organisation delivers its mission while remaining financially resilient, well-governed and responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.

The Managing Director is responsible for all aspects of the organisation, including strategy, income generation, finance, governance, partnerships, programme delivery and people leadership. Strategic Leadership 

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for Hackney School of Food, ensuring delivery of its mission, vision and long-term objectives.

• Ensure the organisation operates in line with its CIC objectives and delivers clear public benefit.

We are recruiting one full time permanent Funding Officer in Yorkshire and the Humber. Funding Officers in these roles will primarily be part of a Yorkshire and the Humber regional team delivering our Reaching Communities programme, with opportunities to be involved with other programmes and aspects of the Fund’s wider operations as they arise. As a Funding Officer for the National Lottery Community Fund you will be integral to supporting the organisation to deliver our strategy It Starts With Community.  

These roles will contribute to ensuring that vital funding reaches communities and projects who need it most in our region. As a Funding Officer you will work as part of our Yorkshire and the Humber regional team, working day-to-day alongside fellow Funding Officers, supported by a Funding Manager.

About the Role

As our Fundraising & Events Coordinator, you will play an important role in helping to deliver the Association’s fundraising ambitions.

Working closely with colleagues, supporters and donors, you will help coordinate fundraising events, develop relationships with existing and prospective supporters, undertake fundraising research, and provide administrative and operational support that enables the successful delivery of our fundraising strategy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, organising events and making a genuine difference within the charity sector.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Donor Engagement

• Support the delivery of the Association’s fundraising strategy and annual fundraising plan.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors.
• Support the development and promotion of the Association’s legacy giving programme.
• Arrange meetings and engagement opportunities between senior management, high-net-worth individuals, major donors and key supporters.
• Support donor stewardship, ensuring supporters receive timely acknowledgements and updates.

Events Coordination

• Plan, coordinate and support fundraising events, ensuring they are delivered successfully and provide an excellent donor experience.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to maximise engagement and fundraising opportunities through events.

Research & Income Generation

• Identify, secure and manage sponsorship opportunities.
• Research new fundraising prospects, including individuals, trusts, foundations and corporate supporters.
• Prepare tailored correspondence, fundraising proposals and donor engagement materials.

Administration & CRM Management

• Maintain accurate donor records using the Association’s CRM database.
• Maintain accurate records of donor communications, funding applications and stewardship activity.
• Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the successful delivery of fundraising activities.

Team Working

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to maximise fundraising opportunities and supporter engagement.
