Working within Baobab's welcoming and dynamic admin team in our Therapeutic Community, the Engagement and Administrative Assistant is a dual role. In your Admin assistant role you will provide comprehensive administrative support to operational, research and advocacy teams. In your Engagement Assistant role, you will lead on developing a successful programme of youth activities at the Baobab Centre (as Baobab Youth Activities Coordinator) and will focus on prioritising young people’s engagement in advocacy and research.

You will work across integrated multi-channel development campaigns, including email, mail, SMS, telemarketing, and online, creating compelling stewardship and retention experiences that make every supporter feel valued and inspired to stay with Crisis. Sounds great, what will I be doing?

Newham Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Service is a community based integrated service providing support to individuals who have experienced domestic and/ or sexual violence including Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence, Forced Marriage, Honour Based Violence, Female Genital Mutilation and Sex Workers. The services are being provided in a variety of ways including through Casework, IDSVA, and MARAC. We will be working closely with key partner agencies within the Newham Borough to provide holistic support to all individuals who have or are experiencing domestic and/ or sexual violence and to improve awareness within the community of domestic and sexual violence and the support that is available for victims. 

In this vital role, you will manage incoming referrals, liaise with partner agencies, provide compassionate short‑term support via our phone line, and ensure accurate case management across our systems. You'll also deliver domestic abuse awareness workshops, develop culturally sensitive resources, and build strong relationships with local community organisations to improve early intervention pathways. Working closely with colleagues, you'll help ensure every client receives a safe, respectful, and effective service, while upholding Hestia's values, confidentiality standards, and commitment to inclusive practice.

This is a hybrid role, with two days working from home, one day based in a co‑working location in Newham, and two days spent delivering community‑based work across Newham.

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. We're looking for a compassionate, proactive and organised Refugee Resettlement Support Worker to join our Resettlement Team and support individuals and families arriving through Government resettlement schemes. The role is predominantly focused on families resettled from Afghanistan, although support may be provided to people arriving through other schemes as well.

What you'll be doing

You'll work directly alongside refugee families as they settle into life in Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and wider Dorset, helping them navigate unfamiliar systems, access services and become active members of their new communities.

Your work will include:

• Supporting individuals and families with housing, utilities and practical day-to-day needs
• Helping people access healthcare, education, benefits and other key services
• Supporting access to ESOL classes, volunteering and employment opportunities

The role:

This role covers the current post-holder's maternity leave for an anticipated 15 months. As Financial Controller you will lead CSE's finance team, directing and overseeing the finance function in compliance with appropriate accounting standards and practices, company and charity law.

You will provide timely, accurate financial and management information to support strategic decision-making and effective budgetary control by our Senior Leadership Team, Trustees, project managers and other budget holders. What You’ll Do

• Provide 1st line (and some 2nd line) technical support to colleagues, ensuring their IT issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, escalating when needed, and always aiming to exceed service expectations.
• Support users with their computers, Microsoft Windows, Office, and more.
• Create and update user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to empower colleagues and boost self-service confidence.
• Participate in team meetings, workshops, and IT projects your ideas and input will always be valued!

About You

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a 1st/2nd line IT Service Desk support role, ideally in an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Confident with Microsoft technologies (Windows, Office, Active Directory) and end-user hardware setup and troubleshooting.
• A great communicator who enjoys helping others and can explain technical issues in a clear, friendly way.
• Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
• Eager to learn, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team culture.
