We’re looking for a motivated Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer to help grow our high value income and build strong, impactful relationships with partners and donors.

• Location: Hybrid (minimum three days per fortnight in London SE1)

Role Details 

You’ll work closely with the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager to support and grow a portfolio of corporate partners, philanthropists and high value prospects. This varied role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing creative proposals, and coordinating meaningful supporter engagement.
You’ll help deliver tailored stewardship, identify new opportunities, and work with colleagues across Bliss to gather compelling stories and impact data that demonstrate the difference our supporters make.

What you'll be doing

Content creation

Head of Major Gifts

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Communications, the Head of Major Gifts will lead the high-value fundraising activity, personally managing a portfolio of key supporters while leading the Major Gifts team (two direct reports and one dotted-line report). Working closely with the CEO (an experienced and active fundraiser), you will oversee a robust and disciplined prospect pipeline across major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners, and you'll lead the management of the Development Board - an influential group of senior supporters and open doors to transformational philanthropy. The role will also shape and deliver inspiring donor engagement, from curated events and private tours to bespoke proposals, reports and stewardship communications, working in close partnership with senior leadership, clinicians and volunteers across the Trust.

To be successful, you will bring a demonstrable track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts (relationship-led fundraising), alongside strong influencing skills. You will be a collaborative, motivating manager, comfortable setting direction and driving a high-performance culture, and confident producing compelling written cases for support, proposals and donor reports. You'll be highly organised, detail-focused, and able to thrive in a target-driven, fast-paced environment. Experience of the healthcare sector or arts sector is advantageous but not essential.

We are now looking to appoint a Deputy Director to help steer that work and further drive the development of the Coalition. About The Role

• Executive leadership
  This will include supporting the ED with key senior stakeholder relationships including funders, ministers and policymakers. Person Specification

Essential

• Experience of leading a team or working at executive/senior leadership levels where you have managed budgets and had to make decisions related to organisational effectiveness. This should also include demonstrable experience of building and nurturing teams that can deliver an organisational strategy.
• Proven experience leading influencing functions in an advocacy or policy environment and delivering change
• Experience turning research and insight into clear, credible and persuasive policy positions.
• Knowledge of system change approaches, ideally within public service reform or similar
• Knowledge of how Government, Parliament, Whitehall, political parties and the wider policy community operate, and how to navigate them effectively.

The Role
We are looking for a Partnerships Development Manager to develop our approach to, and implement a comprehensive partnership development plan, aligning with our longer term strategic aims. You’ll collaborate across the organisation to understand business aims and objectives, and with one eye on the external market you’ll help to find solutions through seeking new opportunities and in turn developing key new relationships with organisations. Role Overview:

This is a new role. The HR Administrator will play a key role in supporting the HR function, ensuring efficient management of HR systems, accurate record-keeping, and smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for staff and volunteers. As the Head of Philanthropy, you will inherit a successful philanthropy area of fundraising for the organisation and will lead the team in securing major gifts and multi-year commitments across the individuals and trusts & foundations income streams. The postholder will join and at a brilliant moment of momentum for the organisation to secure income across the 2030 strategy period.  The Head of Philanthropy will also work closely with the Director of Development to ensure gold-standard stewardship for our high-value donors, coaching and developing line reports to ensure income generation targets are met across trusts, foundations, and individual donor income streams.

To be successful as the Head of Philanthropy will be an experienced leader and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking and ingrained knowledge of how to secure and steward HNWIs and trusts & foundations. This will ideally have been done at the six-figures-plus level and you will have significant experience in working with senior leaders and volunteers to cultivate meaningful relationships, steward HNWI, trusts, and foundations, and deliver robust prospect pipelines.

This role is a maternity cover contract position that will have hybrid working in the London offices for at least two days per week, for up to 14 months. The salary for this role is £60,000 to £72,000.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supporter Care and Donation Processing professional to join our high performing Supporter Care Team at Brooke.  You will work as part of a busy Supporter Care and Fulfilment team providing high quality donation processing and fulfilment services, and the highest levels of supporter care. You will be responsible for completing donation and fulfilment day-to-day tasks within a busy Supporter Care team, including liaising/collaborating closely with the Finance and Database teams and other internal teams; always with a view to providing a first class donor experience whilst also seeking to retain and increase support of Brooke.

You will be joining a busy team, working very closely with Supporter Care colleagues to deliver excellent service provision to a variety of stakeholders and will support across both the Donation & Fulfilment, and Supporter Contact areas to ensure excellent Supporter Care provision at every touch point, for every supporter who interacts with us.

Criteria

You will have good experience of providing excellent supporter care to supporters and processing donations and fulfilment related work within a Supporter Care or Customer Services team, be able to communicate effectively with different audiences via a range of channels, and be able to demonstrate a passion for Brooke’s cause and talk confidently about our operational work.

You will need to multitask effectively, and have strong experience of handling complex administrative processes and being able to prioritise your workload and multitask effectively, enlisting support from other team members to do so.  You will be comfortable with working reactively to the changing demands within the team.

You must be able to demonstrate a keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy of work managing your own day-to-day tasks and workload, as well as be a keen team player, contributing towards a positive team culture by engaging with and supporting others.
