We are looking for a data analyst who will be working within the health intelligence function to lead programmes of work and manage projects to better understand the UK population with Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions to inform the direction of Arthritis UK's ambitions, strategy, policy and services work.

Our UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence department are responsible for developing and implementing our ambitious evidence-based policy and influencing strategy so that people with arthritis can access the treatment and support they need to live the lives they choose.

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we would love to hear from you:

• Able to demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in applying epidemiological research methods and health metrics (such as incidence and prevalence).
• Experience of drawing insights from multiple sets of health-related data and information systems, and large-scale data sets for policy, quality improvement or research purposes.
• Strong experience with statistical software including building automated analytical processes and creating data visualisations (e.g. using R, python, PowerBI, Tableau).
• Educated to degree level in a scientific or health science discipline.
• Ability to interpret, present and communicate complex data in accessible lay terms, including producing data-rich reports and/or dashboards for a range of technical and generalist audiences.
• Project management and organisational ability, including being able to prioritise activities and independently manage own workload that includes multiple concurrent projects.

Our Youth and Play Practitioners will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) team, working as a core team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and services. ​We're looking for an exceptional PR & Media Manager to lead our media function and help us tell our story with ambition, imagination and impact - playing a pivotal role in bringing our Best Lives, Bolder vision to life through powerful storytelling and high-impact media engagement.

​This is a full time permanent, national role with hybrid working. You will be required to work from our head office at least once a week, so our ideal candidate will be based within an hour's commute of Widnes, Cheshire.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and owning our national and regional Media & PR Strategy, aligned to our influencing and advocacy goals. 
• Proactively pitching compelling stories to secure high-quality national, regional, trade and broadcast coverage 
• Building and nurturing relationships with journalists, influencers and media contacts across care, sport, culture and nature sectors. 
• Leading crisis communications - protecting our reputation calmly and decisively when it matters most. 
• Translating complex policy and social care issues into accessible, powerful content for diverse audiences. 
• Collaborating closely with our Head of Influencing, Policy and Public Affairs to align media work with policy goals. 
• Working with our Partnerships & Communities team to turn high-profile community programmes and brand partnerships into media ready stories.
• Supporting and developing confident spokespeople at every level of the organisation.
• Monitoring coverage, producing insight-driven reports and keeping senior leaders informed on media trends and reputational risks. 

Our ideal candidate:

• ​Track record - Proven experience in a PR, media or communications role in the charity, public, health or social care sector. 
• ​Media instinct - You know a story, you know how to place it, and you know when to act fast. 
• ​Strategy - Experience designing and delivering media strategies with measurable outcomes. 
• ​Crisis management - Experience building proactive processes for reputation risks and leading calm, confident responses when issues arise.
• ​Relationships - A strong network of media contacts or the ability to build one quickly across sectors. 
• ​Storytelling - Exceptional writing, from press releases to opinion pieces to compelling human stories.

Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the Executive Team, this role will bring together policy, advocacy, strategic partnerships, media, communications, philanthropy and income diversification into one coherent external affairs directorate. It is a significant opportunity to shape how the organisation is understood, supported and positioned globally across governments, multilateral institutions, philanthropy, civil society, security and defence audiences, and emerging funding markets.

The Executive Director, External Affairs will lead the organisation’s global voice and external positioning, ensuring the organisation speaks with clarity, authority and impact. They will build high-level partnerships, open new doors, diversify income, strengthen thought leadership and help articulate the relevance of the organisation’s work to humanitarian, security, stabilisation and recovery agendas, while safeguarding the organisation’s humanitarian principles and values.

We are seeking an exceptional senior leader with a strong track record in external affairs, policy, advocacy, partnerships, strategic communications or income generation within a complex international environment. We Belong is a migrant youth-led charity fighting for equal and fair treatment of young migrants in the UK. The People and Culture Manager is responsible for overseeing and strengthening the organisation's people function, ensuring that staff are well-supported, processes are legally compliant, and that workplace culture reflects We Belong's values of lived experience, empowerment and inclusivity. The role requires both professional HR expertise and an understanding of how trauma, lived experience, and care considerations should inform organisational policies and staff management. 

Key Responsibilities 

• HR Strategy & Compliance develop policies, ensure legal compliance, reports to CEO and Board 

• Recruitment & Development lead inclusive hiring, onboarding, appraisals and workforce planning 

• Staff Welfare champion wellbeing through a trauma-informed, lived-experience approach 

• Employee Relations supports managers on performance, disciplinary and conflict resolution 

• HR Systems maintain accurate staff records, ensure data protection and streamline reporting 

Essential CIPD Level 5+, proven HR management experience (charity or lived-experience-led organisation preferred), strong employment law knowledge, trauma-informed practice understanding, and excellent communication skills. 

Desirable Experience in health, social care or community settings; knowledge of safeguarding frameworks; organisational change experience. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
