About the Role
The Street Engagement Team is an innovative service that works across the West End/Westminster. The team offers an outreach response to people experiencing homelessness and also leads on several other CSTM projects that cover accommodation and health inclusion service offers.
You will be managing and leading a multi-disciplinary team who provides a blend of both long-term and short-term support to people experiencing multiple levels of disadvantages and interconnecting needs. Modelling a psychologically informed approach, you will manage a team who develops and builds relationships so that every person gets the support they need to move them away from their experiences of homelessness. Through a compassionate and adaptive leadership and management style, you will enable creativity, and professional curiosity, strengthen resilience, and team well-being to be able to meet the different needs and aspirations of the people we support. With a working knowledge of housing options, health inclusion approaches and social care entitlements, you will be both strength-based and solution focused, maximising and developing partnerships internally and externally to enhance service provision. You will be committed to embedding coproduction, so that service provision continues to improve and evolve. The Events Assistant will support EFN to plan and deliver our annual programme of 50+ events.
Location: Working from home (in the UK), ideally within 90 minutes of London by train. Regular travel to London will be required for in-person events, with occasional travel to other parts of the UK.

About the role
Events are at the heart of how EFN brings its community together, creating spaces for our funder and fundraiser networks to connect, learn and collaborate. The Events Assistant will support the Programme Team to plan and deliver our annual programme of 50+ events.

This role will have around 20% of time to focus on finding out the needs of 18-25 patients, parents, and siblings, and developing support and information for them.

Can you also research the needs of 18–25-year-olds, develop peer support and programmes for them, and deliver this on a small budget with patient and carer input throughout?
This role provides high-quality emotional, social, and practical support to children with heart conditions, their siblings, parents, and carers, from birth to 25 years. You will deliver 1-to-1 outreach in the hospital and the community, lead play and wellbeing activities, and maintain a visiting programme across children’s departments, including PICU, Cardiac, and NICU. 20% of your focus is supporting young people aged 18–25, identifying their needs, assessing numbers, and developing peer support programmes. The role also involves creating resources and accurate information for families, offering guidance for those facing bereavement or loss, promoting wellbeing across hospitals and networks, planning events, contributing to closed social media groups, maintaining records, and capturing impact through case studies and testimonials.

Terms

The Role:
This role is a part-time permanent contract designed to provide admin and practical support around donor-facing events and comms. It has been created to support reaching ambitious targets in our 20th anniversary year and beyond, contributing to the P&P team's goals of driving £2 million in income growth across the business plan to 2028.
The role will enable our P&P team to focus on philanthropic relationship building, and support the administration of our impactful, high-quality cultivation and stewardship events calendar, as well as general supporter stewardship. As our Chief Operating Officer, you will join our Senior Management Team and take clear ownership of Envision's finance, compliance, HR governance, and operational efficiency. This is a newly defined role – created to give the function the senior leadership it needs and to free the CEO to focus on external leadership, fundraising, and strategy.
You will join an SMT of four, working alongside the Director of Programmes and Impact and the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, led by the CEO. It is a collegiate team that operates with a high degree of mutual trust and collective ownership – and we are looking for someone who is as comfortable in a strategic conversation about Envision's future as they are reviewing a set of management accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Play an active role in SMT – contributing operational and financial insight to organisational planning, strategy development, and decision-making alongside the CEO and senior leadership team.
Lead finance oversight and board reporting: overseeing monthly and quarterly management accounts, leading the annual budget-setting process, owning the audit cycle, and preparing papers for the Finance, Audit and Risk Governance (FARG) Committee.
Own HR policy and governance: maintaining Envision's HR framework, handling complex employee relations matters, and overseeing the full employee lifecycle with execution led by the Business Admin and Finance Officer.
Line manage the Finance Manager and Business Admin and Finance Officer, providing clear direction and developing a high-performing team.
Lead operational improvement: conducting a review of processes and systems, building a live improvement register, and implementing agreed changes through to completion – not just to proposal.
Explore and pilot AI and automation tools for high-friction tasks. Genuine curiosity and willingness to experiment matters more than technical expertise.
Hold compliance and risk governance oversight – GDPR, Health and Safety, regulatory filings – ensuring a clear calendar of requirements is owned and met.
Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or demonstrable equivalent finance expertise.
Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role with finance oversight responsibility.
Experience of audit management and board-level financial reporting.
Track record of leading and developing small teams.
Working knowledge of GDPR and charity compliance obligations.
Demonstrable ability to operate at a strategic and governance level
Experience leading operational process or systems improvement, from diagnosis through to implementation.
Active interest in AI and automation tools, with a practical approach to exploring and applying them.

The Role
The Philanthropy Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the wider Partnerships and Philanthropy team to deliver growth income targets year on year, including an ambitious target to double income from individual donors over 3 years.
The post holder will need experience in donor prospecting, including regular, efficient and in-depth prospecting, identifying, researching and planning approaches to donors. Experience in cultivation and stewardship is desired, as well as the ability to identify key moments to engage donors through communications and events.
This role is a key link to other internal teams, the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams is essential. The post holder will be responsible for financial reconciliation, initial due diligence and data management. The role will also provide support to senior colleagues on donor meetings, diary management, room bookings, tours and cultivation events and other administrative tasks as needed.
Weekend and evening work may be required according to business needs.
About you:
You will be a highly organised and detail-oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong digital proficiency in CRM/database systems and data analysis, with the ability to manage multiple workflows, priorities, and deadlines accurately and efficiently. Experience in fundraising and/ or a similar role whilst maintaining high standards of record-keeping is a must; alongside being committed to putting young people at the centre of work.
